This was really good! ✨

Sneak Previews are such a good way to be introduced to new authors!
Kendall Ryan is definitely on my lookout site.

Sweet, shy, librarian named Emma got out of an abusive relationship, and has been lusting over the handsome stranger at the coffee shop for over a year.
When they finally “meet” it is like nothing Emma could ever expect. Is she ready for this?

The story was captivating. The characters strong, and interesting and the world-building was spot on. I liked it!

I am definitely thinking of adding this series to my bookshelves👏

After reading book 1 I’m changing the rating of this from a 3 star to a 2 star. This 0.5 is simply the first half of book 1. I’m honestly upset that I was given a 3 parter to a book that can clearly be one.
Maybe when this first came out as a spoiler I would have rated it accordingly. But as it’s been years and it’s still being marketed as an introduction to characters when it’s really just the first few chapters of book 1! Honestly I just feel duped.

Don’t bother with this 0.5. Just skip right to book 1. Save yourself the headache and the money.

Not bad, not fantastic. Was free on kindle so I tried it. I did like that the MC h is a librarian. The whole MC H and his two hot brothers run a legit escort business (re: the girls are just dates, they don’t have to sleep with the guy) for powerful male CEOs and celebrities. Would have been nice if they had girls and guys for all genders and persuasions of clients, but whatev. It’s fiction. 3, not a waste of time and mildly entertaining, stars.

Finally got to meet the Kingsley brothers and everything was perfectly awesome, like I was in a wonderland of handsome men. Gavin, president of Forbidden Desires, an escort company he ran with his equally gorgeous brothers Quinn and Cooper, could easily quench his thirst for women, but he'd rather choose that innocent brunette from the coffee shop.. But he couldn't.. And he shouldn't. Or all hell would break loose.

Emma Bell was just a simple librarian getting her daily morning fix at the coffee shop. And her only desire was to meet that seemingly respectable corporate guy she kept on bumping with when she got her coffee. Little did she know that her whole world would turn upside down when she finally learned his name written on a card he left at the glass jar.

I've been reading Kendall Ryan's books lately and I can't seem to stop. Getting introduced to a group of handsome brothers like the Kingsleys really got me up and running on a cold breezy day. Ryan sure knows how to make her readers feel warm and hot and satisfied with her characters. Gavin and Emma, plus Cooper and Quinn definitely kept the fire burning with their smoldering hotness and desirable tastes. This book is every bit a tease of what's to come and I can't wait to devour the whole series.

You'd think you know all about dating and escorting and companionship.. But you'd think again once you get a taste of Dirty Little Tease.

Forbidden Desires series is temptingly good, I am sure this is going to be another winner from Kendall Ryan!

¡2.5 estrellas!

steamy novella

Nice introduction to a new steamy series!
Three brothers run an escort service…. Sounds like there is a lot of steamy reading ahead!

I like that the brothers are protecting the women in there organization. The history behind the three brothers is just starting to come to light, but it’s setting the mood for them to be very dominate but caring men. I can’t wait to see where things go.

Cliffhanger. Split book that is really only one book. Doormat h. Asshole H. Love Triangle.

Again, I hate it when one book is split into many for no reason. It makes it seem like a money grab.

The h has spent 3yrs in an abusive relationship, but she keeps going after this guy who acts like an ass to her...? Anyway, I'm moving on.

*4 Intriguing Stars*

I always enjoy Kendall Ryan books and so of course I set out to read this series. This is a short little novella as a preview to the series, and I am definitely intrigued. We get a glimpse of all 3 brothers, and of course I'm the most curious about Gavin, but I really can't wait to read about all of them. Their personalities are all clearly going to be very different.

I don't think I have too much to say about Emma, the guys were more intriguing for me than anything. Couple that with the business they run, and this series is going to be an interesting one.

I'll leave it at that - short and sweet like this book. Off to the next one in the series!

I got this as a freebie at some point and it has not landed well for me. I’m not into alphaholes, but some people are so more importantly: the brothers are unprofessional and gross (one of them doesn’t care if his brother sleeps with her too??!?!), the use of “sweet,” “innocent,” “pure,” and “princess” is infantilizing and makes my skin crawl, and overall it’s just very fantastical, more so than most genre romance.

3.75 starsss~~

This Book is told about how they met for the first time, I think it's kinda romantic how they reveal their identity for the first time. they have a deep chemistry they can't escape. it's a good start of their story, let's continue to the book 1..

I really enjoyed this and I'm super curious about all three brothers.

But I do not want this to be a love triangle series. I can't stand love triangles so I hope Gavin ends up being endgame with Emma and that Cooper, and Quinn, gets their own books.

It was a free ebook and it made start reading again after so many time but the thought of a girl being an “escort” for two brothers. I didn’t like that and didn’t expect that. But I will continue to read, yes because I’m intrigued to know what will happen next. Excited for Quinn’s book 🥳

Dirty little beggining

This was... Interesting.
Even when it innevitable reminds me of 50shades with the whole fuck*d up past that showed tiny glimpses of it.
The Kingsleys have something captiviting. And Ms. Bell seems to me like another piece in the whole scheme but an important one.
Ready for the next one!

Good For an introduction to the series

I am intrigued enough to read the next book in the series because, I admire Emma, she's a strong character. Gavin, I'm not sure about, yet. I like Cooper as well.

"It started out as a dirty little secret, something to amuse myself with."

A fun and spicy prequel novella for Ryan's Forbidden Desires Series

SUMMARY
For the past year, head librarian, Emma Bell, has been going out of her way to get her coffee fix so she can make googly eyes at the handsome corporate man who orders an espresso. When he leaves his business card for her one day, she takes the leap and shows up at his work. But the man she has been admiring is far from the sweet man she imagined him to be.

REVIEW
I am not normally one for love-triangles, but this premise is too spicy to pass up.

While this is not my favourite prequel, it enticed me enough to purchase the first book in the series - which is always a good sign.

I love the different dynamics between the characters. Emma is somewhat naive but she also has one hell of a backbone. I loved reading about her because she is a heroine people would love to read about and imagine themselves in her shoes (as a guilty pleasure). We have three Kingsley brothers, but only focus on the middle (Gavin) and youngest (Cooper) brothers. Gavin is dark and broody, while Cooper is sweet and flirty, their stark contrast makes for a fun love triangle.

I can tell this series will probably be heavily focused on sub-dom relationships, and I look forward to continuing on and learning more about the Kingsley brothers.

Emma has crush on Gavin for ten months after she saw him at the coffee shop. One day, he purposefully dropped his business card containing his title as President of Forbidden Desires. Emma came to his office. Gavin and his brother Cooper wanted her as business escort for both of them. This book came with 3 perspectives of Gavin, Emma and Cooper. Emma is in Post-Nathan stage, her abusive obsessive ex-boyfriend. Gavin thought Emma looks like his ex, a drug user ballerina. Emma accompanied Quinn to a gala and he kissed her. But when Emma accompanied Gavin to the charity event, afterwards he shared his dark upbringing to her, kissed and fingered her before sending her home. Quinn their oldest brother is 36, Gavin is 34.

I've read a few books about Dominant/Submissive relationships so I'm familiar with what to expect with this story. Unfortunately, the main characters didn't click with me. I wasn't very invested in their budding relationship or in their individual character struggles. Would my mind have changed if I'd read the whole book, instead of just this tease? We shall never know.

Emma and Gavin have been playing a game with each other for over a year. Every morning they go to a coffee shop and they each order their drinks without speaking to one another just taking a peek at the other. Emma's a librarian who came out of an abusive relationship and she's looking for an adventure. Gavin is the CEO of an escort agency along with his brothers Quinn and Cooper. One morning, Gavin decides to leave his card behind at the coffee shop and Emma takes it. And so begins her new adventure with the Kingsleys.

This book was actually pretty good.

For a very sexual book, it had its elements of humanity, discovering oneself, and a bit of first date like romance.

So really excited for the next book!

You can read my review of Dirty Little Tease on my blog, here: https://thepaperworlds.blogspot.com/2....

This is a spoiler-free review! Dirty Little Tease is available for free on Kindle as a preview novella for Dirty Little Secret -- you do not need to read the novella in order to start the series, as it is an introduction/preview to the book.

Gavin is an arrogant CEO of an escort service that he runs with his brothers, Cooper and Quinn, and Emma is the head librarian who recently came out of an abusive relationship. They catch each other's eye every morning in a coffee shop, and as expected, Emma and Gavin's interactions soon grow more than ordering espresso and tea.

I liked how the author included Cooper's POV in the preview -- I hope his POV continues to be seen in the complete first book. You do not often see side characters getting their own perspective chapters in romance books, and I was pleasantly surprised when we got to read his own thoughts on Gavin and Emma.

With POVs from Gavin, Emma, and Cooper, the reader gets to have a more extensive view on how they all are adjusting to having each other in their lives, while also getting to see an outside perspective watching Gavin and Emma finally interact after not speaking a word to each other for a year, only giving each other quick glances.

Both Gavin and Emma have complicated pasts, and since this is only a preview of Dirty Little Secret, we only get a small glimpse of what they have gone through and experienced. I think the author did a decent job of including hints of their traumas throughout the chapters, and started to show how they both respond to their pasts influences their actions.

The smut is minimal yet present -- just barely there at the end of the preview, which makes you want to open up Dirty Little Secret immediately to see how everything plays out. It is an excellent way to see if you want to continue with the series and introduces you to the characters and their personalities before you dive right into the first book. For fans of Praise by Sara Cate and Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James, this novella will certainly grab your attention.
