Christmas is a time of joy, goodwill, and cherished moments spent with friends and family. But not for Ren. The holidays are a painful reminder that he's alone and depressed. The worst part is knowing it's all his fault. He put his parents through hell while in the throes of addiction, and despite years of sobriety, the damage is irreparable. His only solace is a beautiful angel that visits his dreams, offering comfort and support. Arial consumes his every waking thought and is the object of his nightly fantasies. Unfortunately, she is nothing more than a figment of his imagination.
When a surreal event brings Arial into his life, and ultimately his bed, Ren must face something greater than addiction. Forgiving himself for past mistakes is an impossible task, and it will take the love of an angel to prove to him that everyone deserves a second chance.

This was a short cute side story. The story was good but wished there was more. It didn't seem quite finished. Ren and Arial's story was about forgiveness. Arial is an angel of forgiveness and Ren has been her assignment for five years. He has made progress but he can't seem to forgive himself. She asks Raphael if she can see him in person and was denied, but she does it anyway. I hope we find out what happens when Raphael finds out about her going against his ruling in one of the next books. I also wonder what happens because she is an angel but he is only a human. Can they have a future?
Trim and Julka gave us a wonderful story about forgiveness. Ariel an angel that has fallen in love with her charge Ren. Ariel has come to Ren in his dreams for five years. Ariel has helped Ten with his drug addiction. But, Ren won't forgive himself for the things he did while doing drugs. Ariel has to see him face to face but is the price for this action be worth it. You'll love this book it's in the Trim and Julka style.
Ariel and Ren’s story was heartwarming to read. Ariel’s unwavering support and faith in Ren, as he overcame his own personal demons, was beautiful to read about. I just wish there was more to the epilogue; was Ariel punished? Where will they live? How was the reunion with Ren’s parents?
