Straightforward and brief, Shootman's book focuses on how to do work in an ever changing workplace. A few highlights:
From Tony Crabbe: We need to "downgrade perfectionism". "Workplace perfectionism is often a symptom if a lack of trust between coworkers and management."

Simplicity is a major theme. Simplicity in communication, design, and assignment. This flows into simplicity of effort and work as well. Give enough effort to get the work done.
