This is a work is about the adolescence of Charles Manson. It is a work about his causality, on why he became the man that is so (rightfully) reviled. It is about how and where biological parents met; and how his teenage mother became pregnant. It is about his adoptive father and then it is about the people who raised him - his grandmother, aunt and her husband and daughter - while his mother was serving time in prison for a fool-hearty robber with her brother. It is also about the hardships Charlie endured once he was rejected by his mother (at age 13) and he had to go off and live on his own becoming the thieve and vagrant scrounger we all know. This work starts just before his conception and goes up through his 13th year, telling mostly about the people who raised him, who were responsible for him and for what he turned out to be. I have spent just over 2 years researching this material going to various locations in and around Appalachia, following what clues I could find about where Charlie had lived and how he may have been treated; and now this is the result of that research. I do hope that you find it at least interesting if not down right thought provoking.
