Something new is coming — watch for the signs Signs. They are important in almost everything we do. Nearly everywhere we go, there are signs in our lives that serve to guide us. We look for them wherever we travel, whether to the next city, state, or country — or to the next phase of our journey through life. Jesus thinks signs are important too. That’s why He gave us clear markers in Matthew 24 that would indicate His soon return and the end of this present age. In this book, Rick Renner digs deep into the Bible to describe these signs in vivid detail so we can recognize them and know how to navigate the last-days road ahead. The signs on the road are appearing closer together. We are on the precipice of something new. Soon we’ll see the final sign at the edge of our destination — in the very last moments just before Jesus comes.
Rick Renner is the author of more than 30 books, including the bestsellers Dressed To Kill and Sparkling Gems From the Greek 1 and 2. His understanding of the Greek language and biblical history opens the Scriptures to enable readers to gain fresh insight from God's Word
As you read this book in the latter days of 2020 under the influences of COVID19, keep in mind that this book was published in late 2018 which means it was written during early 2018 or late 2017. As believers, have peace with the assurance that the end is near. Thank God for the signs for the assurance we have in Him. Amen and thank you Mr. Renner for this book
The first time I've read a book by this author, Rick Renner, and most definitely won't be the last. It is a fabulous book with so much insight based purely on Bible prophecies, warnings, and teachings. I loved that the verses were broken down, in some cases, word by word, and taken back to the original Greek language of the time. Being a Christian nearly 50 years I certainly know the passages regarding the signs of the end of the age and was subconsciously aware that some of these were increasing, but to have them all broken down and spelled out clearly, with current stats blew my mind. It is an incredibly insightful and challenging book I've already discussed with many! Now I need to respond .... ! I highly recommend this book for any believer.
This focuses entirely upon the Olivet Discourse, when Jesus talked about earthquakes, wars, rumors of wars, famines, plagues, etc... and then it goes into stats of how widespread all of these are today. It doesn't exactly compare now vs previous times in history, but it implies that things are accelerating. Those stats were very interesting, and both sad and convicting to read how many people in the world suffer food insecurity and how many believers suffer persecution. Mostly it's a good book to read to motivate us to do more to try to alleviate the suffering so rampant in today's world as we are able.
It only covers Matthew 24:1-14. If you're wanting to understand anything further in that chapter, you won't find it here. I was wanting to read about the next verse.
"When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)" Matthew 24:15 KJV
I was disappointed. Still, there is, as I said, very good information on the first 14 verses.
This enlightening book by Rick Renner covers Matthew 24:3-14. It might not be a very long passage, but it packs a lot of punch. I did a lot of underlining, as the words Mr. Renner speaks on are vital to this current age. We're living a lot of what Matthew speaks about. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in studying the end of the age. It's easy to read. It may be repetitive in places but the author wants his words to sink in.
This book clarifies scripture regarding signs that we are in the end times that lead to Jesus' return. These signs that were given 2000 years ago are happening now right before our eyes. This book is about ten years old now and I don't have to tell anyone reading it now how even more accurate the words of Jesus and the prophets are ringing true today. Jesus is coming and I for one am looking up, ready to meet Him in the sky!
This is a study of Chapter 24 of the book of Matthew in the Bible. The author is a scholar of the Greek language. In this book, he digs into the meanings from the original Greek in Matthew 24. Like every other of Pastor Renner's books, this one is well written, biblically sound, and enjoyable to read.
What an appropriate book to be reading right now! This book was so enlightening and it definitely forced me to take a look at myself. I saw scripture in a whole other way. I give it four stars because I really wish when scripture was referenced the passages were actually included. I didn’t like putting down the book and looking up the scriptures just out of inconvenience.
Very good study tool. Clearly laid out Bible truths that anyone can understand. Great perspective and insight into the last days spoken of in the New Testament. I like that the author used the King James Bible when referencing Scripture. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Very timely and informative. For those interested in the things that are happening around us every day and how they relate to what Jesus said would happen in the last of the last days, it's a must read.
This book tells you signs you will see just before Jesus comes back with what country ms are doing to come against Israel and what we are supposed to be doing to get people ready by telling them about Jesus
What a great book! The author does a fine job of bringing a review of the Greek words used in key prophecy. This gives new and relevant insight into what is happening in the world. It affirms my belief that we are truly in the “two-minute drill” of the last days.
This book breaks down Biblical verses of end times. It explains each warning that was given to show that end times are here. Very thought provoking. Examples are give. On what is occurring in these days that reflect the predictions of end times. Each chapter has reflection questions to help us explore deeper. Very eye opening! We are also given how to stand strong in our faith during the coming seasons.
This book expands on Matthew 24:1-14. It is a good introduction for those who are new to this topic.
I disagree with the author’s stance on the rapture. The very verses that he provides to justify it actually make clear that it doesn’t happen until after the tribulation saints are raised at the last trumpet.
I Thessalonians 4: 15 states
“According to the Lord’s own word, we tell you that we are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly NOT PRECEDE THOSE WHO FALLEN ASLEEP”.
Revelation 20:1-5 tells us that this occurs AFTER THE LAST TRUMPET
