Time for a new life plan.
1. Forget about my ex-husband
2. Re-start my life in my old town.
3. Make all the money back my ex stole from me.
4. Don’t make any of the same mistakes.
Notice that I did say anything about finding a man or falling in love.
There’s a reason for that.
I’m done with love.
I’m done with men.
Coming back to my old hometown, I’m reminded men have been nothing but disasters for me.
It’s also where I fell for my first disaster.
Malcom Vasser: The rich kid and king about town.
He was the guy everyone wanted to be or be with.
I wanted so badly for him to be my first.
When my dreams came true, it wasn’t long before I found out I wasn’t the only one to have that honor . . . that week.
At least I’ve learned enough to know that guys like him don’t change.
So…maybe I need to make no. 4 on my list a little more specific.

I found this book enjoyable and liked that it was a quick read. This second chance romance has totally relatable characters and I loved that Avi wasn't "the perfect size" - you don't get that in a lot of romance novels. The attraction between Avi and Malcolm is still strong after all those years but hurt prevents Avi from giving into it. Malcolm knows what he wants and it is Avi, now all he has to do is prove to her he's changed. You can count on a HEA that warms your heart.

July 3, 2019Just no!!!.. i can’t continue after i read malcom pov to reply his naked bikini-women that he will meet her after all his problem (well done! Boohoo! 🙄). Idc if this book is good in there rating but NOT FOR ME!.

Back to Him ... Once lost, can trust and love be regained?
Can a love decimated in High School by a foolish act be retrieved or a friendship at least mended years later?
If you are looking for an afternoon or an evening read curled up next to the fire with a cup of hot tea or cocoa this is it. “Back to Him” is a quick read with a good storyline. It is the story of two Highschool Sweethearts whose love is decimated by a stupid act on the part of the boy, Malcolm (the school’s Top Jock). Avilla, the girl he truly loved, had been the victim of the school “bullies” for years and because of their influence he left her heart in tatters. Years later they meet again when Avi, now a successful surgeon from the “Big City” returns to their small town to become the local Family Physician and becomes the town’s heroine, showing up the bullies without even intending to. The question is can Avilla and Malcolm find their second chance or is it too little too late for them? Will Avilla be able to forgive Malcolm for the horrible way he tromped on her heart all those years ago and can they find their HEA after all? Is it their “right time” now?

Malcom is a doctor , and , a single dad .He has two children from two different wives . The eldest , Jasmine is the fruit of a mistake : A too drunk party . The mother left her daughter and Malcom . He has not been lucky with love : Her second wife left his home and kid also .
Avila was a neurosurgeon in a big city , but after a messy marriage she returns to her hometown , and open a family clinic . Avila and Malcolm had a brief affair in college leaving her bitter . So back to Grandville , they meet again . The road to coming back in the little town , and meeting Malcom again is not easy .
I really love Athena Braveheart writing . She constructs a cocoon for the characters and the reader and wrapped me so tight in her story that I couldn't put the book aside . She gave realistic descriptions of the feelings of her characters . Her explanation about why people are scared of accepting someone different charmed me . I really love BACK TO HIM .

A lovely tale of second chance romance
Avi, the science nerd turned model turned doctor, returns to her small hometown after a nasty scandal triggered divorce. When she returns she runs into Malcolm, football star turned single dad turned doctor, her first love and greatest heartbreak. As the story progresses Malcolm fights for a second chance, Avi fights to remain single and they both must make peace with the past. This book is a lovely tale of second chance romance, forgiveness and overcoming tragedy.

A wonderfully written short second chance romance with angst of bullying. The characters were beautiful and relatable. Malcom and Avilla had a beautiful friendship heading to more when he thru it all away in high school on a dare. Now years laters both broken and both back in town the chemistry is still as hot as ever. Malcolm realizes that Avilla was the one he always wished he had and campared to. Xan he mend what he broke. Anamazing romantic steamy romance.

Very nice book. Easy read but interesting plot. She returns to her hometown to meet up with the guy who left her years ago. These are always interesting. Lots of plot twists. And little things coming up to make it harder. Ever had the desire to slap the guy in a book? Sometimes they are so dense. It all works out because it wouldn't work if it didn't. Enjoy the read.

I am a recent convert to Ms Bravehearts books and this one is no exception. It is a great book.
I was hooked from the very beginning.
This story is entertaining, fast paced, lots of fun, drama and great chemistry.
I can't wait to read more books by Ms Braveheart.

This is a great story and it illustrates very well what happens when you let other people's opinions matter. Reconnecting and revealing past truths can be so liberating and allow the hearts to forgive and love. Amazing love story about second chances.

I enjoyed this book. Even though Avi & Malcolm both have a lot of baggage. Apparently they are both really bad at picking people to marry. When Avi returns home she decides to try and stay away but after seeing Malcolm again it becomes hard for her. They have a past. Thankfully they got past all the crap and got their HEA.

Absolutely loved this book. This complete series of books are great. The storyline and characters are wonderful. This book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Athena is a wonderful author. Keep up the good work

Emotionally satisfying!
Avilla and Malcolm are two broken people who are desperately trying to find that happily ever after, preferably with each other. It eluded them once, but second time’s a charm. Right?
This book will tug at your heartstrings, and you may shed a tear or two, but the HEA is absolutely worth it. Looking forward to reading her next book.

A mistake in school lead to Avilla to mistrust the men in her life and many of the people around her but after returning home her past crashes back in to her present making her second guess her feelings.
This is a sweet read about a lost love that never got a chance to grow.

This book was very good but what happened to the ex-husband that was calling all the time? I'm glad she finally gave Malcolm a chance. I really felt bad for the children being abandoned that's not something any kid should have to go through.

This story will leave you wanting more. Avilla is so strong. To come home where it all started. I loved the flashbacks to high school, so revealing. I loved the redemption of Malcolm in his talk at the school. You will love the interplay between Avilla & Malcolm. There are fireworks of all kinds! Get ready for a great HEA.
