It's can be easy to achieve something special but , it's very hard to maintain. This sentence is relatable to the protagonist of this story.
It's a thriller classic , high class narration an the most important part is this is a story by two writers which is also not less than a thrill in itself because it's very hard to understand and to match the understanding and imaginations.
I'll not explain the story in this review because it's a worth reading book so go and read , but yes I'll definitely tell you that why you should read this book ?
Initially let's talk about the cover and title first of all the cover is designed very much professional looks like an first look launch of a high budget movie , full marks for the cover and title.
Protagonist Arjun Rathore a successful delhi police officer was living his well maintained and healthy lifestyle , his friends and his wife all were happy and enjoying with him. But as the time changed and something got vanished. His friend circles was going to shrink and people were going away from him either by death and the dishonour was the another reason. He was trying to stabilize his mind and tackle this situation by over drinking of alcohol. He was concerned about his day by day changing life.This book is a complete package of thrill means a long story so the character of protagonist is little complex but strong enough. If i talk about the narration it's absolutely perfect for engaging , plot is also perfect , if you're not a long book reader you can start with this story i assure you that your mindset will get change for the long read , such gripping story is this. A lot of twist and thrills are their to bind the readers. Language is flowing and lucid.

I think end is superloaded which can supress the starting of sequel but if we look at the style of narration we can say it's perfect because it depends upon the imagination of the author to portray the characters and plot fluctuations. And both the writers did a great job. This story is able to compete with others thrillers , i definitely would love to read the second part. Recommended to all the thriller lovers , read the complete package of thrills , twists and mysteries.

Death and dishonor: Revenge is everything (Book 1)
This book was filled with surprises. When I picked this book, I expected it to be a light read but it was filled with suspense, twists and turns, and secrets. The plot was good for a crime thriller and I thoroughly enjoyed it though I think the narration was not up to the mark at some places still the story was gripping and interesting.
This story is about a suspended Police officer Arjun who is in middle of a conspiracy and is trying to prove his innocence. He was the brightest Police officer but when his wife Shikha dies he becomes reckless and loses his job as a consequence. There is nothing whom he can trust and yet he needs any help he can get. When police arrest him for murdering his best friend Aditi his friend ACP Pratap helps him escape and he becomes a fugitive. Arjun’s friend Ajeet whom he considered his dear friend is the one who has killed Aditi after torturing her for some information and he is the witness to it still there are stronger forces who wants to pin this crime on him. He finds refuge in Father John’s church who helps a lot in hiding him from cops along with Tia who also decides to help him in proving his innocence.
Will Tia be able to help Arjun prove his innocence? Or will he be caught by police and he will not be able to bring justice to Aditi? Who wants Arjun to take blame and what is all the conspiracy behind Aditi’s murder?
There were lots of secrets revealed themselves as I continued reading it and I was shocked every time story took a turn. I must say Authors have done a great job in maintaining suspense and twists and turns. I did not like the cover of the book. It could have been better and the novel really deserves a good cover which can attract more readers. The book ended on a cliffhanger and a really shocking one so I can’t wait to read the next book.

Among all the genres that I read and dwell upon thrillers always occupies a special place in my heart and mind. My affair with thrillers is never ending and bounded by an unconditional love.
Thus whenever I pick up a thriller my hopes and expectations shoots up instantly. Till date I have read numerous thrillers and owing to which it's really hard to surprise me.
Death & Dishonor is a crime thriller with the tagline "Revenge is everything".
I was happy that the tagline proved to be true till the last pages.
The plot was definitely complicated with twists and turns and surprises at every corner. It was like you blink and will miss the next twist.
The characters were strongly built specially the protagonist Ex-Cop Arjun Rathore who is falsely accused of killing his best friend and childhood sweetheart Aditi, a journalist who uncovered some of the dirtiest secrets of some high ranking politicians and a racket of something so disastrous which if successful will shake the entire nation.
I believe the story would prove to be a page turner to every thriller addict.
Being a true thriller fan I was able to figure out some of the twists and was sure that I decoded the book but just then the authors dropped their final bomb which I must admit even surprised me.
The death and gore forms an essential part of the story, hence people reading it should have an appetite to handle them.
Overall the book runs at a medium pace and is written in a lucid language.
The authors made their best attempt to maintain the suspense till the end of this book and I am happy to announce that their attempt was a success.
Recommended to all thriller lovers.

How can I start telling about this book??
For sure, I m not coming out of this story for a long time. Such a classy work by Indian authors by so long. I have not read a book this time, it's a blockbuster script of a movie ( which is still not completed, waiting for second part). ABHIMANYU AND TANMOY, surely I have a become a fan of you, after reading this. I love thrillers and suspense, this book keep me engrossed till the end page. And page no. 114 to 120( hacking by TIA) is just so cool.
I can totally imagine whole story moving in front of me, with each page carries new twists and turns , and the whole story become unpredictable till the end.
ARJUN RATHORE, ZAYED ALI , TIA, JOHN, DEVRAJ Each character has been narrated so well.
The story and characteristation is strong,
Language is easy and plot is engrossing, cover is so awesome. Other then little bit spelling mistake, whole book is a roller coaster ride for me. Waiting for 2nd part eagerly

An interesting and engaging thriller with a heady mix of action and suspense, Death and Dishonor will take you on a whirlwind tour of a life gone all wrong on account of a tragedy.When death strikes at the door of Inspector Arjun Rathore’s home, little does he realize that this is just the beginning of a period of trials and tribulations. While wife Shikha’s death leaves him a broken man, it’s his best friend Aditi’s departure that truly shakes him and sets him out on a path that sees him on the other side of the law, a side he’d vowed never to cross over to. This move of his, sets in motion a chain of events, events not foreseen. There is a lot of bloodshed, people are terrorized, media goes crazy and a number of questions pop up not only in Arjun Rathore’s mind but I that of the readers as well. Twists and turns over when one reaches the end, one can’t help but say, “Oh! No.” The fare may feel like an awesome dinner minus the dessert, Disappointment may cloud your mind, but then go back to the cover, Your face may light up realizing that the end is yet to happen. To know what I mean, you’ll have to lay your hands on the book… 🙂
The authors have done well to maintain the suspense till the end with their creative twists and excellent narration skills. There is never a dull moment. However I do appreciate the protagonist’s survival instincts. Couldn’t help but wonder how he managed to keep running and fighting inspite of breaking several bones. 🙂
Language is simple, crisp and lucid, while the pace is perfect. Characters are well developed and easily blend in with the plot. One can easily relate to their emotions be it anger, hatred, horror or empathy. The only thing that put me off was the font used to highlight the flashback portions. Reminded me of the cyclostyled temporary circulars issued by our office in the 80’s and 90’s. I feel highlighting the same in italics would have been a better option.

Overall a perfect read for a lazy weekend afternoon when you’d like to keep yourself awake after a sumptuous lunch.

Death & Dishonor by Abhimanyu Saxena, Tanmoy Basak is a story of Arjun Rathore who fights for justice for his friend. It's a story of Justice, thriller and a mystery.
The cover and the title of the book is attractive. I loved it. The plot of the story is interesting full of twists and turns. The narration of the story is engaging. I loved the way the author kept the suspense throughout making the reader curious to know what will happen next.
One can relate to the story from the very first page. Themes like Love, mystery, Thriller, Fun are used by the author. The author expressed each and every emotion wonderfully. The way the author sequenced every event is commendable.
In the middle, the author suddenly shifted the plot to a completely different story from the past confused me. The switching plots from past to present was something that I did not like as It was a bit difficult to connect with the present plot.
The language used by the author is simple and apt. The writing style of the author is crisp and gripping.
The drama and dialogues keep the reader hooked throughout. With each chapter, the mystery unfolds making the readers think what will happen next. This book has fun, suspense, love, drama, politics everything.
The character development done by the author is wonderful. Each character had a vital role to play. The way the Arjun planned the revenge is mind-blowing. Tia's skills, Pratap's friendship, and a mysterious plot, everything is just amazing.
At some places, there are too many details shared by the author which makes it a bit tedious. It's a fast-paced book with a smooth flow. The blurb of the story is captivating.

How will you feel when people who were with you since time immemorial, whom you trusted more than anything else, suddenly turn against you? Death& Dishonor explores the trials and tribulations of a police officer, when he finds people around him go away one by one, either by death or by turning against him. Arjun Rathore, who is living his days reminiscing his memories with help of alcohol, is given a jolt which sets him on a run. What he unearths during this bloody run and answers to why everyone’s leaving, forms the story.
The authors leave no stone unturned to bring in action at every corner with a lot of bloodshed. By the end of the book, I felt that the protagonist will only be a bag of bones bundled in the blanket. And I wondered what will be narrated in the second book, as the cover says “Book 1” and suggests many more to come. But when I finished the last chapter, I understood that there is much more to be unearthed.
The narration is paced at ample speed to give the readers, opportunity to digest the twists and turns. The authors have expertly managed to keep the suspense intact till the end as they peel the layers of the mystery. The language is simple and requires no extra effort.
That said, I did not find anything against the book. The revelation towards the end was a bit overboard but it easily submerges in the surrounding action. It is not one of those literary reads.
But it does stand out in the thriller genre. I think I will not be wrong to say that the book fares at par with foreign books of the same genre. I would like to lay my hands on the second book too, whenever it comes out.

Arjun, a troubled man considers himself to be toxic and blames himself for everything that has gone wrong in the past and the present. He has lost everything, his love, his career, his purpose to live and is living like a dead man breathing. Until one day when one death, changes his life into a thrilling movie like life. emotionally driven by the death and spiritually backed up by father John, Arjun finds a purpose for his life, ready to take revenge and responsibility.
As I started with the book, I found the cover interesting and as I went on, the title of the book and the chapters were adding a tint of spice and excitement to the reading.
With very simple and well-written language, I started a journey on a roller coaster. It was so thrilling,one minute you are all disgusted, the other minute you are laughing and in the next minute you start cringing. As soon as I thought that I was about to find a solution, I was bashed with more mysteries. There were no errors, no lack of description or useless characters. The title did go with the book.
Just one minor negative point was that the book is little too stretched.
I was thrilled. People around me were surprised by the reactions I had while reading the book. I highly recommend it to all of you

Coming to the book .
A perfect thriller story from beginning to the end . Not giving a plot of boredom to the readers . A total gripping story . It made me so much engaged that I had to turn pages continuously to know what happened next . .
Coming to the naration part . The book was written in a very simple manner , with real life touch that we come to see now .
I am bound to say that , this book can go well in the international level if spread by us readers . The book had so much good naration by both the authors . A classic thriller that touched .
When the protagonist started loosing his wife , then one of his good friend , it touched me . From then the mystery begins in his life . .

The front page says , " REVENGE IS EVERYTHING " . That time I couldn't predict that this book is this much amazing . .

So imagine reading a book and going 'Wait! - What! - How! - Why! - I want my mommy'. I mean if a thriller doesn't make you go through all this, is it really a thriller?
So a very hunky dory hero, (me likey) is seen in the beginning (and through flashbacks) going all sweeter than suger and trust me you will want to be her- well almost. (cackles like a witch)
So this fast paced story was like seeing an episode of 24 or Die Hard in your mind. The language is very Indianised and bound to make you smile at times. The hero made me giggle, in a crowded bus, that too in the summer. So you can imagine just how cool and sarcastic he is. The other characters are very well crafted and executed. But now I have two problems, first this book ends with a major cliffhanger and I need to know what happens next. And secondly I want to know when the next book comes so I can read about the next part.

There are some stories which keep you involved through time and characters. This book has its own super fast speed, it’s as if every character is running through each and every scene. One after the other accidents and tragedies happen and they are still happening till the end. A reader keeps wondering if there would be any survivors in the end or not, or what new twist might the next page hold. It’s too good a thriller, apart from some scenes which came as unrealistic.

why would you read this book?
● The writing style is zestful throughout the book which really helps to maintain the pace of the story.
●The plot is interesting , the exposition to the characters at the beginning and their journey throughout the story ups and downs is what helps you to indulge with them and their life more and more.
●The past Pov of the protagonist and the present situation back and forth is a tough nut to crack but authors have done that quite effortlessly.
Now is there any draw back?
Well...If theres any I would say the story at times becomes unnecessarily descriptive living tiny part to the readers imagination...But I know many readers who love to have an elaborated story in front of them.
Though I finished this book as fast as I could cause I hate waiting to know "what happens next". But to my surprise the epilogue has killed me. Now I have to wait for the second book and its too much of a suspense to hold on.

Arjun Rathore has everything he could ask for. A lovely wife, a honorable job and a bunch of great friends. But one tragedy turned everything upside down. His wife Shikha died in an accident. After that Arjun lost his job because of one wrong decision.
But what he didn't know was this is just the beginning of a very big conspiracy. How will Arjun survive when he is declared as a very dangerous criminal? Who will he turn to help when the police force where once he was a cop are behind his life?
Review-
The protagonist of the story is very charming. Arjun is sarcastic in the most serious situation. He is funny, witty, smart, brave and doesn't fear death even in the most dangerous situations. And most importantly he loves dogs. Do you need any more reason to love him?
The story is very gripping and definitely a page turner. There are many clues, twist and turns but everything is perfectly placed. There are a lot of characters so it gets a little bit overwhelming at times to remember each and every character but a little bit attention will solve it.
There are a lot of action scenes in the book. And me being an action fan thoroughly enjoyed it. And it is very rightly said in the beginning that it can be easily turn into a full masala Bollywood movie.
The one thing which this story lack is emotional development. I couldn't emotionally connect to any of the characters. Though there are many emotions such as love, jealousy, deceit and guilt but all just touches the surface.
As you know I am a sucker for a good ending and this book does total justice to it. The ending will just shock you to the core. Eagerly waiting for the sequel.
Recommended to every action fan out there. Do give this book a try.

Let's talk about cover first. I must say cover is eye catching and attractive too. But, to find the hidden truth behind this cover is more important for me. I heard lot about this book.
And all things came true.
Story is about our protagonist arjun who is living happy life with wife. But, destiny always have bad plans for you to rise up. One day his wife died and story begins. He Starts drinking he lost his job. Added to it arjun best friend aditi got killed and he becomes wanted person in society.
Here is comes another twist, arjun friend ajeet is the one who killed aditi for some information. now he got arrested and ACP pratap help him to escape. The other character tia. Just WoW..!!. Who decided yo help arjun to prove innocence. Now the thing is he really innocent? What's mystery of aditi murder?who is behind a this ?
The characters are well developed and described. Every character has its own story. I must say author did hell lot of good job to creat such awesome character. Thr plot has everything thrill, emotions, suspense, every page turn out to br more interesting than previous one.
The only thing I dont like about book is some of the part is in too details that can be cut short. But, also having so many plus point to read it's negligible. Overall a must read book and can't wait for next part

My opinion:
So This book is a big pile of questions from page one. The story as it goes leaves lots of loose end question marks to be answered. I was worried whether it would be able to answer all the questions. And it did. The ending especially was the best i could think of. The book would keep you hooked in just a few pages. The twists and turns were really good. And i really cant wait for the next book to come and take me to another loose ends question marks. The plot maintains the curiosity through out the book in a simple language. I loved the developed relation and character of john and Arjun.
The only difficulty i found was when i would be stepping from one twist to another at times i would loose the connection and would have to re read or would understand later what actually happened. And the one thing i felt mentioning that i found really crazy was a kiss scene between a manhunt. I mean i don't mind bringing romance in the plot but not when you are being chased.
And hence that is why i gave the book one star less. The book is worth a five star rating if the above paragraph is not to be considered.
Recommendation:
If you love mystery thriller suspense then this book is one of the best book you would read. It will definitely keep u gripped and at the end would leave you wanting for more. Because honestly even i cant wait for the next book to come.

Death and Dishonour is a thrilling mystery book. Arjun is the protagonist who initially has a blissful married life. But the fate has something else stored for this couple. His wife dies one day which ends up Arjun being a chain drinker. He blames himself for every good or bad that has happened with him.
The story moves forward where he ends up becoming wanted by the police. But then if you are not at fault, the God will never punish you. Hence, he is proven innocent. The book has some more characters and the writer has done a great job in giving each one of them, their own story. Despite each one having their own story, the novel doesn't seems to be confusing at all which is a plus point. The story is a fast paced one which keeps you moving through its very last page.
The cover is well designed and the title is also justified through the story. With a simple and clear language, the book becomes easy to read and understand. The story has an interesting plot and also a lucid storytelling which makes this book an anticipated read.

The author explores a lot of themes in the book and I guess that makes this book as intriguing as it is. Both the narration and the writing style are very appealing, so much so that I was on the edge of my seat throughout. The narration and the story kept me hooked till the end of the book. The characters were very strongly developed and with each chapter there was more to them and more to the story. If you think you can take a break while reading the book, you’re wrong. You will be curious to know what happens in the next chapter, and the next. The one thing the author could’ve worked at was the transition from the present to the past that part was a little confusing for me and I took a few minutes to catch up. There are a lot of details about blood and death & they are essential for a thriller and they make this book as good as it is, hence I recommend this book to those who can digest all of it.

Arjun Rathore, a decorated police officer, leading a happy life is falsely implicated for the murder of his best friend Aditi. The web around him is weaved so perfectly that the more he tried to unearth the truth, the more complicated it got.
The story is full of sub plots, twists, turns, chasings, killings, friends turning foes and vice versa.
The cover is mysterious, though, I feel title could have been more intense.
Characters are beautifully portrayed yet at times they sound larger than life, especially the protagonist Arjun.
The story can really make you elude sleep to read chapter after chapter.
