I am the editor of the book and I also have a story in the collection, so I'm admittedly biased. However, I have to tell you there are some fine tales in this collection by such folks as Neal Asher, Robert E. Vardeman, C.J. Henderson, M.H. Bonham and many more. The book features fifteen tales of piracy in space and it explores the full gamut from adventuresome stories to humorous. There are even some space pirate ghosts. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good fun, adventuresome read.
I really enjoyed the "Bad Travelling" episode of Love Death & Robots, tracked the short story it was based on to this compilation, and impulsively ordered it right away. Can't go wrong with space pirates, right? Well....
"Bad Travelling" itself was decent, though the video was much better. The other five or so stories I read, not so much. There could be a gem or two I didn't get to but life's too short. Moving on!

I received my copy of Space Pirates this weekend at MilehiCON (thank you David Boop, Daniel Hoyt, and David Riley for signing my copy). The fact that it's edited by David Lee Summers was only one of a dozen reasons why I chose this anthology. I have read David Boop's story, "On the Eve of the Last Great Ratings War," and am super pleased.
