Tarzan is my second favorite Disney movie, so I was happy to come across this book on Amazon. It's a short book with a lot of information on the voice actors and how the movie came together. I really enjoyed the insight this gave into the movie!
This was another smaller-edition making-of book, this time for Tarzan. I really really love this movie, and I think I actually like it more every time I think about it (that's right, I don't even need to see it again to love it more). This is a brief but nice little treatment on the literary and artistic inspiration for the movie.
This book is similar to the book for Mulan in that it contains a short documentation on the making of the film, and also includes a very condensed telling of the movie story. It also has as a sort of epilogue a brief biography of Edgar Rice Burroughs, especially relative to his creation of Tarzan and his many incarnations in pop culture through the decades. There's a small section devoted to each of the characters, and even a blurb from several of the voice actors. The book has a few photographs, and a lot of production stills, but it seems to be lacking in concept artwork or rough sketches. There's a smattering of beautiful Glen Keane drawings of Tarzan and a few roughs here and there, but not nearly as many as could have been included.
This is a slim but nice companion piece for fans of the film or its source material, but serious art book enthusiasts might be disappointed with its relative lack of content. But at least what little art it did contain was awesome.
A perfect companion book to Tarzan Chronicles. Containing more wonderful artwork, and behind the scenes goodies. This book also includes a beautifully illustrated adaptation of the story and a fascinating biography of E. R. Burroughs.
This is an introductory story into the life of Tarzan with illustrations from the Disney's animated film. It is nice so that students can make connection with authors and videos. Relating to a story they are already related to.
This small book is great to introduce the Tarzan tale to young children with its beautiful illustrations. This book can spark children interest in nature and wildlife, and the ways both are studied.
