This book is as inspiring as it is eye-opening. It reminds the world of a truth based in historical fact, that of the strength, global admiration for, and respect due to African Americans. American history has been written in such a way that the country has been made to forget that this group is responsible for much of the country's infrastructure, culture, and success. It also seeks to remind Africans Americans to main a global mentality. Becoming too locally focused will only lose gains that were achieved by no easy means. This, in my opinion, should be required reading in US high school government courses.
