The four-man werewolf squad known as Phantom Fangs has a game plan to end the timeless world war between werewolves, vampires, and humans. The pieces have fallen into place. There will soon be a clear victor. But everything changes when a certain lost werewolf princess turns out to be much more than a myth.
Kestra Pingree is a creative who doesn’t know how to stop. They are first and foremost a writer and storyteller with an endless library of books in their head just waiting to be typed. They are also an artist and animator, as well as a singer, songwriter, and voice actor. One day they swear they’re going to make their own video game, too.
If it involves creating, they are there.
They can also be seen cuddling their cat, reading, or playing video games.
This is not a story of any kind really. There is no romance, etc. It is more of an very quick introduction to the 5 main characters that will be in the following books. Book 1: Taken by Werewolves Book 2: Saving the Werewolves Book 3: Queen of Werewolves. These books do not appear to be out yet. (Review edited 4/15/19: Some of these books are now published)
The negatives. The flow is a bit off. Not a smooth read. It mentions that vampires, werewolves and humans are all different species and can't interbreed. Two of these men are called tethered (humans bitten by a werewolf & somehow bound to that werewolf) & apparently have the same qualities as a werewolf. So is 'tethered' a werewolf or a human or what?
Positives. The world build is interesting. Good enough for such a very short read. There is a bit of suspense and action as the personalities of the 4 men are revealed.
There is a very short chapter at the end about the 'lost princess'. We are also shown a small amount of information about how their world became what it is and why the lost princess is important. It is enough to get you interested in what I can only presume is an upcoming series.
The writing is not bad. I found no typo errors, etc. My kindle notes on Goodreads is always made public and you can check them out if you so desire.
The prologue to The Lost Princess of Howling Sky series gives fascinating insight into the five main characters. Numerous thoughts about these individuals are revealed, and I learned some of the reasons that fueled their actions and even several of their greatest hopes. I always enjoy a story featuring werewolves, and PHANTOM FANGS is definitely engaging because Kamryn Hart has created extremely unique abilities for these remarkable beings.
A battle amongst humans, werewolves, and vampires has been going on for a very long time, and a team of men with werewolf traits think that perhaps the Prime War will soon be over. These four individuals are known as the Phantom Fangs, and the missions undertaken by them will hopefully bring world peace. When they hear about the possibility of a werewolf princess actually existing, they know their next mission could be the most important one yet.
After reading this intriguing introduction to a new series, I am looking forward to discovering what takes place when these four interesting men meet one unsuspecting female werewolf.
The plot thickens...that's what came thru my mind as I read this short introduction to the world of the Phantom Gangs and the Lost Princess of Howling Sky. Four very different men/wolves each with an agenda beyond that of the group as a whole are just trying to live life without seeing more death. The world has been decimated by the fight between the wolves , the vampires and the humans. Now chatter is getting out that a female , the Lost princess, survived the attack that killed her parents and has been raised since by a witch. Now according to legend of gossip she's 18 and the kings son will claim her. But what if the phantom fangs are her destiny instead? Sounds delicious doesn't it? I will be downloading the next part immediately. Oh and there's a free book from Kamryn Hart to download that's the beginning of another series. I'm reading it too.....So far I'm hooked!
The writing is very good. This prequel is only a chapter for the rest of the serial novel. I hate serial novels. The character s are well defined , but I wanted more.
This is the setup for the upcoming list princess series of novels. The Phantom Fangs are a group formed to protect the were world and search for the legend of the most princess.
Interesting and descriptive, nice way to spend a few hours. A tease that ended after introduction of the male characters. Disappointed because the female is usually the focus in a RH and here she's barely mentioned in the last few pages.
I’m not a fan of prequels. However they are needed sometimes to shed some light on how things came to be in the series. This was helpful not only in giving I site but definitions of terms that will be used in the main books.
I read this after Book 1 because I wasn't aware of it beforehand. It was ok, but didn't shed any more light on what you learn about the characters in Book 1.
I love this & I can't wait for more. I will be also leaving a review on Goodreads @ Amazon. And letting everyone know about it. So i gave it a 5 Stars.
