Dominic Frampton, Earl of Monkstead has been accused of meddling in the lives of his neighbours, giving them the happy endings he thinks they should have. But when it comes to Miss Margaret Willoughby the only person he believes can make her happy is himself.
But Dominic is already married, a wretched mistake he was forced into fifteen years ago.
Margaret is on the verge of being engaged to her bullying father’s curate, and destined to live a half life in the village where she was born. She believes she must obey, but Dominic has other ideas.
Is it right to ruin Margaret’s reputation to save her from her miserable future? Can love really conquer all?
Sara Bennett writes with passion. She has been published by Avon HarperCollins in the USA, and also publishes independently. She recently wrote a series of Regency novellas about Second Chances called Mockingbird Square. The four novellas are Unforgettable, Enraptured, Surrender and Reckless. They're available at all eBook stores.
Currently she is writing a second series of Mockingbird Square. The first three novellas, Fascination, Seduction and Temptation are available, and Obsession is under way.
Sara also writes paranormal romance as Sara Mackenzie, steamy historical romance as Evie North, and Australian Women's Fiction as Kaye Dobbie.
Wow, another one on cheating. Granted you discover the circumstances of his marriage are not normal, but I still don't like this theme.
This is about the matchmaker Earl who sets his sights on a character that appears in all the stories. If you didn't buy the bundle, or read the previous stories, you will not be lost. My favorite of the series is book 1.
There is lovemaking, outside of marriage of course, since he is married - heat level 3 out of 5. There is some romance.
Many side stories are solved off page so that always seems unfinished to me. Since this series is my first by this author, I'm not sure if this is her writing style in full length or just her novella's. If a topic is introduced, finish it and give me all the details how we go from A-Z. Not take me A-K and jump to Z. One being the h's sister, her ending story, the nasty villain who cause problems in the extended epilogue and they are more.
We have cheating, no cliffhanger, HEA, some romance and a tad of spice. (ljb)
This is my favourite story in this series. I loved the companionship and banter between Dominic and Margaret. A very enjoyable read. Such a lovely romantic story. 5☆
