“You’ve been selected, but can you satisfy your alien mate?”
Who was that shadowy man from my dream? What did he mean when he said he’s made a choice? Most importantly, how the hell did I end up on the planet Avrox?
Suddenly I’m face-to-face with Asch, a ripped prizefighting champion with an uncontrollable thirst for a good fight...and my body.
He’s begging me to be his mate, but can I give him what he wants before our trial is over? Or will I freeze like I always do?
He gave me an indescribable pleasure the first time we met, even if it was only a dream.
The least I can do is return the favor.
I’ve got to get him inside me again…this time for real.

1.5 stars I can't believe I paid for this book even if it was just $1. Unlike all the other reviews so far, I did not enjoy this. I found it amateur at best and just so overwhelmingly ridiculous. Even for a scifi fiction everything was completely unbelievable. I was bored out of my mind and wanted to just quit it, but it is such a short read that that would have been silly. Or maybe not, as it was a waste of my reading time.
Asch is a big, dumb muscle headed alien with arrogance in spades. Don't get me wrong, I love an arrogant character when they can back it up. But Asch was just a self-absorbed ass. He lived for fighting in the arena but longed for a mate and assumed she'd be interested in everything he was.
At first I thought I would like Lora because she was a shy girl who preferred hiding away with a book. And I did like her up until all of a sudden this virgin became some sex goddess with a complete stranger and found herself in love with him after their first time. She constantly made excuses for Asch's behavior as well and that ticked me off.
I can't even say that this story would have been better if it was fleshed out into a full length novel because the whole premise and world built here was just absurd.
I have this author's Rune series already and I am desperately hoping it is a million times better than this was.
This is a fun read of abduction, mate matching, confusion and romance. This has a dual POV which enhances the story. The characters are engaging and brings you into their world. The things the characters went through were really easy to identify with. I did enjoy reading this book. Lora is a very shy librarian. She is duped into signing an agreement for a better job. Then she gets abducted to another planet against her will. She is confused and angry. She met her "mate" and is turned right off. Asch is like a MMA fighter and thinks it will impress Lora. But the opposite happens, she starts to loath him. Asch thinks he is doing the right things to have Lora want him for her mate. But he does not understand her. He too is confused. Lora goes to a bar and gets sound advice from another woman. She knows that if she and Asch are successful in matching, he should glow when he is near her. That has not happened. What a conundrum. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received a review copy of this book from the author. I have read other books by this author before and I am a fan. In fact I read the first book the author wrote about Avrox and I loved it. This second book is another hit! In fact I personally think it’s even better than the first one. Wow! The romance sizzled right from the first chapter (I actually blushed while reading the first chapter- it’s that steamy) and the heat didn’t stop. I loved the characters - they were so engaging and likeable. The chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts - even though they seemed so different. The writing is sharp and witty and the story moves well. There is never a dull moment - the plot is entertaining all the way through. I had a hard time putting this book down and ended up staying up until the wee hours just to finish it. And I finished the book with a huge smile on my face. Such a fun and fantastic read!
In this story we return to the planet of Avrox many decades after the first story. You see that things have greatly changed for the better and now there is a much better way for discovering mates. Lora is a shy librarian on Earth with a love for ancient languages. She takes a chance and agrees to enter the mating program but quickly finds herself in over her head. Asch is a champion fighter but longs to a mate and a family. The two have the potential to be a true love match, but first they must dig deep and find strength in themselves to open up to new possibilities and ultimately decide what is most important. An interesting addition to the series and a great read if you love alien romance.
Enjoyable alien romantic tale. They have one week to prove they are true mates, but can they overcome their differences in that time. Miscommunication, bad assumptions and innocence, stand in the way of their happy ever after. I enjoyed this story, especially the final scene at the shuttle port. This is a great addition to the series. I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Lora had dreams of studying ancient texts and Asch had dreams of becoming a champion in the ring. These two opposing personalities were actually very compatible, once they stopped pushing each other away. Lora believed Asch was an arrogant brute until she took the time to actually open up and express herself. I thought it was amazingly sweet for Asch to explore the ruins and help translate the Avroxee language with Lora.
'I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.'
I was a little disappointed in this book. Don't ask me why because I don't know exactly. I just felt that something was off and not like her usual writing. The story was good and the writing was well done. I got the impression that the story was rushed and not complete. I felt it just needed a bit more depth. Let's see what the next book brings to the series.
A fast alien romance. Another addition to the series. One strange and very erotic dream will be the beginning of a new life for her. She just never imagined how much. She loves to study ancient languages and glyphs. He loves to fight in the arena. Maybe opposites do attract. A very fast paced romance.
This is a short but sweet alien opposites attract romance. Standalone with no cliffhangers, book 2 in the series. He is ready for the next phase of life, a mate. He is a champion fighter what's not to love about him. She is an Earth book nerd that struggles to talk to anyone, much less a hot alien guy. Can they make this work or will the glow not happen? I listened to this on Audible.
Got the Audible version as a freebie from the author with no obligation to review. It's a nice short read/listen. Nothing overly deep or complicated. But if you're just looking for something light and sweet to pass the time, this is perfect. I like to listen while sewing so something like this is perfect for me.
A human woman works in a library. One night at closing time two women come into the library offering her a contract to an all expense paid vacation, but she has to sign the contract with no other information and leave immediately. You will have to read the book to find out what all happens to everyone. Happy reading!
Short and sweet, I love this book. Loved the chemistry of the main characters and I can not wait to read the next book in the series. A must buy and keep them coming they are awesome.
Sexy story about a shy human linguist and a brash Aroxee arena fighter. It's a rough start and tough going, but they learn in the end. Like the song says, "You can't hurry love"
Very nice!!, very nice. I liked it a lot. A sweet tale of giving everything for love. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
