Piercing hammers inside my skull remind me of last night's binge. I wish someone would just knock me out and put me out of my misery.

Opening my eyes, I frown, looking around the unfamiliar cave.

If this isn't my cave...

Swallowing thickly, I slowly turn to look down at the bed. Oh. Shit.

Arawn is fast asleep, his tanned, well-muscled form taking up more than half of the pallet.

OMG Fallon, what have you done? Exactly how much did I have to drink that this sounded like a good idea?

I try to slip away, leaving behind the gorgeous alien-dragon, but I'm not kidding anyone, including myself. I make my time-honored and traditional Walk of Shame.

Too bad the fiercely possessive and cocky Arawn isn't going to let me go that easy.

Good Sci-fi Alien Romance, but didn't like the h much

This is a good sci-fi alien romance, and a good addition to the series -- but it was hard to like the h. I get that Fallon had baggage, but that was no excuse for the way she kept hurting Arawn. I also thought she was pretty stupid about the children issue. She had unprotected sex with Arawn quite a bit, then when he mentions children, she freaks out because she is afraid to have them? If she didn't want children, she shouldn't have ever had unprotected sex. How stupid is that?

Fallon one of the women from the tunnels really likes the caves of the Tribe, she feels a sense of belonging as if she has finally found a home. However, despite seeing all the happy couples and their growing families she has chosen never to marry yet she is drawn to Arawn despite his throwing his achievements around.

Arawn is a strong warrior for the tribe both a hunter a defender. He too has noticed Fallon yet he does not know how to draw her notice. He doesn't understand how his prowess does not garner her attention. How is he to gain her attention?

These two are brought together by a drunken night of celebration for of a friend's mating ceremony. The next morning Fallon hopes to avoid the walk of shame and continues to push Arawn away, which cuts Arawn like a knife. Ho is Arawn to break through Fallon's wallls and truly connect with her? I am not telling as that would ruin a great story for others to enjoy. Just know that I enjoyed my visit to the hot deserts of Tajss. I highly recommend this stoy if you enjoy alien romances and like a it of adventure with them.

Story as hot as Tajss & the Dragon men that inhabit it!! Series should be read in order for maximum enjoyment - HEA & No cheating

For adults only (18+ years). Contains subject matter that may be a trigger, or offensive to some, including: adult language, steamy intimate scenes, and violence. If any of these situations are a trigger or offensive to you, then this may not be the story or series for you.

While I guess this could be read as a standalone, I would not recommend it. There is too much history, discovery, and depth that would be lost.

I continue to fall for this series the more stories I read. To think of how the universe has grown and developed from the first book to the current one is wonderful. The story of Fallon and Arawn explores some of the issues a person can feel if they were not raised in a stable, supportive and loving environment. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did.

I didn't care for Fallon

I really didn't care for the way Fallon handled herself in the first part of the book of for the ending for that matter...So she found herself having feelings for Arawn and instead of addressing them she gets drunk and pounces him literally! Arawn was on his way stumbling back to his cave but when he heard someone sneaking up behind him he turns to find Fallon who jumps into his arms kissing him. No matter how he tried his best to be a gentleman and give her every chance to back out she kept going. So the next morning when she wakes up she does what she labeled the walk of shame which really irritated me because why would people call it the walk of shame in my opinion it's almost like you're saying you're ashamed for people to know who you were with but anyways so after she successfully dodged the morning after with Arwan she totally gives him the cold shoulder and ignores him leaving poor Arawn to try and figure out a way to break through her shields and get her to talk to him. I really don't like how childish the author makes some of her leading ladies turn into some not all have turned into total Drama Queens! Like when Arawn made the simple statement how he often thought of how cute their children would be...instead of speaking about her fears she jumps up and makes an excuse and runs out as fast as she can..again leaving the poor guy lost trying to figure out what he did wrong..I'm starting to understand why I'm starting to enjoy reading more dominate style books LoL you don't get a lot of that drama queen mess if they do they get their butts whipped!

Fallon is helping prepare for the mating ceremony of Kate and Errol. Wedding preparations seem to have overrun much of their cave system, but everyone is so happy to participate so no one has complained, except for those in the city who prefer the “old ways”. War had ended so much of the old traditions. Gomul, a Zmaj of the dragon race, had rescued them when they first crashed on Tajss and he led them to underground tunnels to keep them safe. But because Annabel, leader of their group, became a tyrant and dictated everyone’s life, forcing them to remain underground, Kate had led a small group to escape into the sunlight and find other human survivors and a new future for them all. Now they had a real sense of family and community.

Fallon heard cheering and watched the Zmaj warriors engaging in their contests of strength and skill, hand-to-hand combat, races, distance jumping, and weapons. Bashir stood over Melchior and the mood changed as Melchior started to revert to the dominating animal nature they normally controlled. As he stalked toward Bashir, Arawn spoke the first Edict, the core values and Creed of the Tribe which they lived by; Bashir then spoke the second one; and finally Melchior spoke the third and the tension drained away. Deep in thought, Fallon almost walks right into the huge dragon man standing in her path, and he grins. He playfully keeps blocking her way until she gets annoyed and yells at him – and he finally gets serious and moves aside.

When the mating ceremony finally arrives, Arawn cannot keep his eyes away from Fallon. He imagines sharing this same ceremony with her. Her eyes meet his, but quickly turn away. Delilah distributes the delicious fermented drink to toast the happy couple. Everyone is celebrating, the toasting continuing on as the glasses are kept filled. When the dancing begins, Arawn quickly catches on to the movement, his warrior abilities giving him full and easy control of his body as he moved with his partners. He continued dancing, even when a partner was not available, enjoying the happiness. A woman lost her balance and fell into him before he saw that it was Fallon and realized the drinks had distracted him from knowing where she was. This time, she didn’t back away from him and instead runs her hands through his hair and presses against him. He will not take advantage of a woman who wants someone only because she has been drinking. So, despite his longing, he lets her go and moves away. Will he ever have a chance with her? Can she ever care for him? Or should he walk away and stop this torture?

This was a well-written story where the reader gets to experience attending the mating ceremony of Errol and Kate. I actually felt like one of the guests! The author paints such a beautiful picture of the scene and makes it real! The dragons are also very real to the reader by now. They are kind and loving, despite being fully competent protective warriors. Arawn is so patient with Fallon, willing to wait for her acceptance as his mate. Will they find what they long for? Will Fallon release her fears and see what she can have for her own? Grab your copy and share in this celebration of life as the communities grow closer to each other.

I was expecting a bit more fun or at least not to have lost interest in Fallon’s and Arawn’s story almost as soon as I started reading it. If you take away the sex this book could be a young adult book. In the beginning both characters felt like they were back in grade school where the boy pulls the girls hair to show her he likes her and she blows up and starts shrieking at him, only to run around the corner and peak at him to see if he was watching. Immature actions on both of the their parts. When they finally do get together she initiates it after a night of drinking. Once they get horizontal we are then treated to her blowing hot and cold constantly. At one point Arawn gives her the cold shoulder, as he can’t figure out why she keeps doing that and she gets all butt hurt because now he’s acting cool towards her.

These characters spend a lot of time in their heads, lots of internal dialogue and when they do communicate at least in the beginning Fallon was very churlishly most of the times and to be honest I just couldn’t understand why. Most of this story is angst for angst sake.

The conflict with some of the people in the story is just so convoluted you are left trying to understand what it’s all about. Fallon and Arawn were so lacking at least for me anything to endear them to me. There were so wooden and one-dimensional. The sexy times after one too many I rubbed her “nub” because she seems to like it, I just started glossing over them as they didn’t really add anything to the story for me.

It’s a story to pass the time. There are good bones for a good story unfortunately the characters need more development for them to be worth following their story. More action, less inner monologue without the overtly information dump feel to their thoughts.

Fallon is drawn to Arawn but doesn;t want to be. She wants a simple uncomplicated life with no messy dragon or love. The caves are all atwitter with the coming water ceremony for Errol and Kate. On the night of the ceremony both Arawn and Fallow over drink and in the morning Fallow is totally flummoxed to find herself with Arawn. Fallon jumps at the chance to leave the settlement and go to the city. When invited to go to the mines she again agrees feeling that this will give her time away from Arawn. Then she finds that he is also coming on the trip. Arawn is ready for a commitment of some sort but can not seem to get Fallon on board. Maybe the trip will help him.
Another fantastic story of the Tajss and another dragon and human.
Be ready to be drawn into a life of difficulty and hardship but with a little love things can be different.

Add a bit of spicy love and the plot begins to boil...

Miranda Martin's world of Tajss becomes ever more complex as Jackson and the remaining Gershom faction face a new threat. When the threat follows the Zmaj back to the Tribe, and Rosalind in the Zmaj city becomes aware - a major re-alignment in the politics of Tajss is coming! Add new discoveries and elements of old Zmaj culture, and the fragile social stability on Tajss is threatened. All this forms the backdrop for one of Martin's sweeter love stories - Arawn the metalsmith of the Tribe, and Fallon, crash survivor from the Caves. They hook up under the influence of alcohol, and then slowly prove the old saying "In Vino Veritas" as love, trust, and desire overcome old hurts and old fears. This is Book 11 in the Red Planet Dragons series, and Martin's imagination and story-telling gifts show no signs of stopping - thank the stars!

Zmaj warrior Arawn has been watching the human female Fallon but she often looks back.
When they crashed onto Tajss they found working with Zmaj warriors native to the planet was a good arrangement and as time went on the two races got even closer with some mixed mating occurring. Zmaj warrior Arawn has watched the mating with interest but among the many female one seem to draw his attention and he finds himself watching often. Fallon is aware of Arawn's attention and herself watching back. When a mixed couple have a mating ceremony Fallon has too much to drink and finds herself in Arawn's bed the next morning but leaves before he awakes. The two circle around each other trying to sort out their feelings. An alien romance to relax and enjoy

the ceremonial mating of their friends leads to a lot of uh celebrating among the more than a little inebriated masses.

and unsurprisingly, the couplings have consequences - in more ways than one.

a dragon seems to have a pretty focused mind when it comes to mating - mating, bond , connect, and control/preserve.

not necessarily comfortable for a female used to being in charge herself.

invasion of one kind or another is a real threat. how do they balance their various drives and survive? and possibly survive happily?

funny, steamy, and more than a bit awkward - which is a lot more fun to read about for someone else!

I highly recommend reading the previous books to better understand the background in this universe.

I liked Arawn okay, but I really didn't care for Fallon. She came across as a bit lackluster as a character, and I feel like her solution was just to run away if she was uncomfortable with an emotional situation rather than having a conversation (which honestly just felt juvenile). I'm not sure I really felt a spark between her and Arawn either.

This story does do a good job of advancing the plot for the series arc. It will be interesting to see how some of the new factors work in the upcoming books.

More interesting with each installment

This series is getting more interesting as we go along. Different threats arise as well as new ways to improve the technology and better their lives. I recommend this series!
Arawn is attracted to Fallon but she rebuffs him at every turn. When she drinks a little too much at Kate and Errol's mating ceremony things go farther than she wanted. Fallon does everything she can to ignore him afterwards.
The Rosiland sends the four of them on a trip to New Village, Fallon begins to see a caring and gentlemanly side of Arawn.
There is a new threat of different sentient beings from space coming and attacking the settlements.
Can Fallon and Arawn reconcile their feelings? How can the Zmag protect all three settlements?

Fallon wakes up hungover and wanting to be put out of her misery - then she opens her eyes and is shocked. She is not in her own cave and is in bed with a sleeping and very muscled (but naked) form of Zmaj Arawn. She does her best to slip away and do the traditional Wal of Shame - however, Arwen is not going to let her go that easy even if it takes him time to convince her that they belong together.

I enjoyed this story although Fallon was more than a little annoying at times due to her resistance even though she was clearly interested in him. Arawn was a typical Zmaj male but he was a little more patient as he had obviously worked out that he needed to treat her like a nervous animal/person. Easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.

There are so many interesting couples whose stories I have read so far in this wonderful series. Now here is another pairing of a Zmaj warrior and a human female. Arawn is envious of but genuinely happy for what his friends have found with their human mates and children. Meeting Fallon gives him hope and determination to have her as his mate. Fallon's fears make for a rocky relationship and the newest alien invader attacks have only increased those feelings. But love always triumphs and the unity between these settlers, Zmaj and human, will surely overcome the newest threat. Excellent storytelling!

Another fantastic story by Miranda Martin and this is book 11 of the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss, and this is Fallon’s and Arawn’s story. After a drunken night Fallon ends up in Arawn’s bed and Fallon has to do the walk of shame lol. Fallon needs a serious attitude adjustment and I didn’t like the way she kept hurting Arawn, it made me want to smack her on the side of the head and tell her to wake up and look at what you’ve got right in front of you. Anyway I loved this story and I can’t wait to read what Miranda Martin brings out next. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Fallon and Arawn’s story was sweet 💕

I have to say I’ve been looking forward to Arawn’s story because he is the humerus happy-go-lucky Zmaj. Aaron has a fun personality and a skilled warrior. I did not find Fallon to be interesting at all. She has an odd way of using silent treatment whenever she’s scared or doubtful in her relationship. This reminds me so much of my mother! Hated that! However I love this story and introducing a new alien species to distract the new Village miners from their racism and xenophobia was a welcome addition. Looking forward to the next development.

This was a good story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I really enjoy Ms. Martin's writing style. I got swept into the story and didn't want it to end.

Fallon is enjoying her life and doesn't want to change it. While she feels something for Arawn, she doesn't want to do anything with it. Her past still affects her greatly. Arawn wants Fallon and does everything he can to get her to notice him. After a wonderful night, Arawn wants to go the next level and is shocked when she ignores him. They are asked to go on a trip with a mated pair to the mines. During the travel, they each come to some realizations. Will they be able to make a relationship work or will they just walk away?

One night stand or a life-time?

Kate and Errol's mating ceremony leads to a drunken one-night stand Tajss style for Fallon and Arawn. Between the "walk of shame" and the "cold shoulder treatment", these two probably had the most human-like relationship. This story introduces new alliances and new enemies. This sets up the possibility for lots more trips to Tajss.... my e-reader is packed and ready for the trip!

The red planet dragons are back with a new story featuring Fallon and Arawn. There's a few new alliances, and more danger along with opportunity for major change. Can they prevail over the danger involved? Will they be able to get things working in time? And what's up with the New Village?

Fallon keeps her feelings to herself while Arawn wears his on his sleeve. These two have to fight their way to their happy ending.

This is volume 11 of the story of Tajss, so be sure to read the previous books to catch up!

An easy read with low angst

This is book eleven and the series is light and easy reads. Each book features a different couple. I. This book it’s Arawn (male) and Fallon (human female). It’s sweet because both of the lead characters feel something but are too afraid to act in it. Until the mating ceremony of Errol and Kate their good friends. After consuming some liquid courage, these two are on fire, and let go of their inhibitions. But what will happen in the morning after their one night of bliss. Read On!

Another fantastic book in the Red Planet Dragons of Tajss series.

The story between Fallon and Arawn is a steady and hot romance! Both with issues of their own that they have to work through. I love how they work through their issues and the interaction between the two. There's plenty steam to this story! I can't wait to see what else comes to this series!

Eleventh book in the series. You would think that at some point the humans would understand that the need the natives to survive. It just might take a new threat to get them to understand. But some humans have definitely blended with the natives. Some have mates and children have been born. This one tells the story of one human female who feels the attraction but refuses to accept it. He is so much more than a gorgeous alpha but will she give him a chance?

Arawn pursuit of Fallon

Fallon is all for her friends getting together with the men/ dragons on Tajss but is determined it is not for her. Then Arawn starts paying attention to her and she ignores him until the mating ceremony of her friend where she had to much to drink. She followed Arawn home and next morning work up and did a runner. Fallon ignored him until they are made to work together and then things change. Good light hearted read.
