I read a few mangas. Liking the series than forgets about it for some time. Not having a good reading pace when it comes to mangas yet. But I'm really enjoying this one so far

Mostly Stage Dressing

As we have moved to a completely different country and while new story arc much of Volume 5 exists to set the stage for the grand battle that is to follow, it introduces all the new political factions, the impending economic crisis, and does A LOT of world building as Veight and co. have truly traveled to the old world. I loved the breadth and depth of this volume, though found myself wanting, as the overall political situation barely progressed at all, as most of this novel was setup, then cliffhanger. The next volume can't come sooner.

For more or less the whole Rolmund arc, which is 4?/5-7: nice, and the political stuff is interesting. I really like how the problems aren't by miscommunication or incompetence... it's a clash of interest and beliefs.

This volume is mostly for setting the scene for the next few volumes, so it's not as impactful as the next two, but you can't read them alone.

In any case, you more or less feel for all of those in line for the Rolmund's throne. It reads even sadder because there isn't anyone who's just purely evil, and there isn't much of miscommunication. Although they're all good leaders, they can't coexist. And so it's interesting and a good read. In the author's note, I think he did say something like... having a separate nation to do this kind of political intrigue and mess... it keeps it separate from the Meraldian part, and it's perfect. I mean, I did miss Airia, but that's a minor thing. I loved this arc, and I'll miss Eleora.
