Solid travel book. Has more info than others. Organized well. Pages with color font and pictures and maps.

I would appreciate a bit more specifics on "getting here and around" sections. Like, when you arrive at this Buenos Aires airport, you can get to your center city hotels by these buses or cabs or trains, and you pay for transport here, and the drive is this long. The book is too general: it doesn't always say which airport it is referring to, it talks about the buses, and cabs, and vans, but it doesn't give you steps to get you from the airport to the transport to the hotels.

Also it doesn't seem to give a lot of recommendations for budget travelers. Most are $$$ out of 4 $'s.

I didn’t read this book in its entirety but wanted to read about the country and the ports we’ll visit on our cruise all the way around South America. It answered a lot of my questions and had good suggestions and ratings, as well as practical information. I appreciated that it included info on Uruguay and Patagonia, since we’ll also port in both places. As with most travel books, I find it easier to read a book instead of an ebook, but that’s just me.

This is why a person gets a travel-guide. I was trying to do it myself online but was having trouble cobbling together the overview of places, the best times to travel, and all the bits and pieces. Great guide with all the overviews, plenty of specific details, very nice inserts of deep dives into specific areas or cultural elements, and lovely colour photos and maps.

Very satisfied with this trip guide. It suits the trip I am planning very well, with side trips to Uruguay and Iguazu. The information on Buenos Aires was a little bit thin, probably a consequence of this being an Essentials guide and not a complete guide. There is still plenty to do but I will probably also do some internet research to make sure our time in Buenos Aires suits our interests best.
