The Merriams #1

Wild Irish Rose

Rate this book
Trevor Merriam doesn’t like being ordered around by his older brother, much less to a sleepy Irish village to complete a business deal for their family company.

Worse: the owner of the land he needs to buy doesn’t want him there. In fact, Becca O’Neill loathes him so much that she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for.

Even worse than that (and not getting scones is bad in Trevor’s book): Becca has an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a famous ghost all intent on making sure he fails. Then there’s the woman herself. If she weren’t so indignant about his business offer, they might have a good romance budding.

Worst of all: his Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara Hale show up from Dare Valley hoping to help him get hitched—not exactly the help he was looking for.

How in the world is he going to make this deal with his heart—and his dignity—staying intact?

Trevor works for his families company Merriam Oil & Gas and his older brother Connor is his boss. Trevor lives in Ireland, Connor sends him to try and convince Becca O’Neill to sell her land and so they can access a large oil deposit on shore.

Becca’s family has owned the land in County Cork for over four hundred years, they have used the large house for a B&B since 1920 and she refuses to sell Wild Irish Rose. Trevor underestimates how difficult his task will be, Becca sends him packing, she has the support of the locals and they don't want the area disturbed. Becca has plans to expand her business, she wants to dye her own wool, sell the yarn and knitted garments. Working by her side is Aileen and Cian O’Shea, Aileen bakes the best scones in Ireland and Cian has known Becca since she was a child.

Trevor’s Aunt Clara and Uncle Arthur are on their honeymoon, they book into Wild Irish Rose and Becca reluctantly lets Trevor stay. Becca has a menagerie of animals, a dog, a cat, sheep, rabbits and an alpaca called Buttercup. To everyone’s amusement Buttercup is rather taken with Trevor, she follows him around and Becca understands why! Trevor's a handsome man, the chemistry between him and Becca is intense, and they find themselves falling in love. But, Becca has a secret from her past, she struggles to do certain things, how can she tell Trevor, and Connor can’t understand why his brother is letting his heart get in the way of closing a lucrative deal.

Wild Irish Rose by Ava Miles, is a story set in beautiful Ireland, the characters in the narrative are wonderful, I really liked Becca, Trevor, Aunt Clara, Uncle Arthur, Cian, Aileen, Hargreaves the butler and of course Buttercup! Wild Irish Rose has the perfect amount of humor, banter, family dynamics, romance, and four stars from me.

Wild Irish Rose is a sweet and charming romance about an Irish innkeeper and the American businessman who has been sent to purchase her property. I was immediately taken with the writing style - the descriptions make you feel like you’re in the Irish countryside, and the reader gets a real feel for what the inn is like. I really enjoyed Trevor as a character - a businessman who has been sent to do a job but isn’t sure that he really wants to follow through. I never really warmed up to Becca though, and I had trouble rooting for them as a couple.

Unfortunately, after awhile the vivid descriptions that I enjoyed at the beginning of the book started to drag on and the abundance of side characters and subplots overtook the romance of the story. I got really bored with the whole thing and found it tedious to continue. While some may enjoy this more laidback style, I just wanted the story to move forward and the focus to be on the core couple. So ultimately, I have mixed feelings about the book. Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. I’m not sure that I would recommend this book, but it was a rich and detailed story.

I'm not sure where to even start with a review for this book. It was so good that I don't feel I can do it justice. This is the best book I have read so far this year. The characters are so wonderful and if you are familiar with some of Ava's other books, you will recognize a few of them. There are many moments in this book that will have you laughing. Can I just say, oh Buttercup...you are the best! I could go on, but really, you just need to get yourself a copy of Wild Irish Rose. Watch out for those laugh out loud moments if you are drinking coffee like I was.

I can't wait to see what Ava Miles serves us up next in this new series!

This was the Barnes and Noble Nook serial read for February. This one surprised me. I thought I'd like it but find it a bit sappy. No, I enjoyed the hell out of this. I will be reading the next book and however many follow. I am invested in this family and need to find out what happens next for everyone.

Becca was amazing. Loved her and everyone at the B&B so much. Especially Buttercup the llama. I would die for her. The setting of this in Ireland was everything. I spent a weekend in Ireland and stayed in a B&B one night and a castle the next, and this book makes me want to go back and explore more of the country. And I need an Uncle Arthur and Aunt Clara in my life.

I loved this story!! And laughed so much! So fun and romantic too. A story about overcoming fears and trusting your heart. And with the setting in Ireland it's already a favorite!

Becca has the most beautiful B&B near the cliffs in Ireland. And she's sitting on a pile of oil. The Merriam's want it. But Becca can't sell her home. Her sanctuary. She can't ever leave this land. Or the house.

Trevor is sent in to close the deal. Living in Dublin he's close. But never has he seen a more beautiful setting or woman. Almost instantly he knows it is futile to want this land. So when he his aunt and uncle want to visit he suggests the inn. Now he's in and can spend as much time with Becca as she'll let him. He has to regain her trust. But the more he's near her the more he realizes that the magic in Ireland has worked on him and there's nowhere he'd rather be but by her side in this house.

Becca knows Trevor wants her land. And she fights her attraction hard. But when Buttercup her alpaca takes a fancy to him, along with her finicky dog and cat, she let's him in a little. And the more she sees the more she falls. Hard and fast. But fears are something she is well versed in. She must tell him but she's afraid. Afraid he'll leave her if he knows the truth.

A battle of wills comes with Trevor and his brother Conner. Conner will not take no for an answer about Becca and her land. And when he learns Trevor has fallen hard and fast he must act and act fast. Will this battle coming end Trevor and Becca's budding relationship or will they overcome everything stacked against them to be together?
Cannot wait for more in this series!!

Received copy from publisher/author. All opinions are my own.

This is definitely a feel good story that will have you laughing and smiling all in your feels! I loved that this story takes place in Ireland and has some delicious scones too!

Billionaire Trevor Merriam is in town for one thing - to convince a land owner to sell her land to his family. Becca O’Neill wants nothing to do with him - she won’t even serve him the award-winning scones her famed Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast is known for. Once he meets her though…things change for him!

Becca and Trevor had great chemistry and it was fun to follow along as they got to know each other. I loved her animals: an ornery cat, a mischievous Irish setter, and a lovesick alpaca (named Buttercup) who loved chasing Trevor around!

I did feel for Becca - she has a secret and is scared to tell Trevor…but his reaction just might surprise her. I loved the secondary characters and Trevor’s Aunt and Uncle…who might be terrible matchmakers…or are they 😂

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wild Irish Rose Ava Miles

This was quite an adorable, charming read. It felt pretty predictable, very much like a hallmark movie. Big city dweller comes to a cute little bed and breakfast in Ireland to convince the owner to sell to his family company. She refuses and before you know it they are falling in love. The writing style was great, I loved the descriptions of the Irish countryside. There were a lot of characters and subplots, which got a little confusing at times, but was overall enjoyable. The love story felt a little too rushed for my liking, but made sense in context of the story.

I loved the agoraphobia representation, which I feel is rarely shown in books. And loved the large supportive family dynamics. I’d recommend this book if you want a really cute predicable read. This would be perfect for a vacation, especially to Ireland!

“The Wild Irish Rose Inn was the kind of place that called to mind the rolling emerald hills, lush mist, and magical rainbows of Ireland, what with its sweeping two- story structure punctuated by dramatic towers on each end. Too bad Trevor Merriam was here to buy this place from Becca O’Neill and put it out of commission.”

Published in March of 2019, Wild Irish Rose by Ava Miles recently had a rebrand with this gorgeous new cover!

Wild Irish Rose, Merriams Book 1, by Author Ava Miles is a contemporary and charming romantic comedy set in beautiful Ireland. The narrative is heartfelt as are the connections. The setting, a Bed and Breakfast named Wild Irish Rose Inn, has been held by Becca’s family since 1920, boasting unusual pets (for an unusual FMC – meant in the best way possible), an in-house restaurant offering infamous scones, and an organic dye-business using ethically sourced materials. Becca O’Neill is the current owner and focus of the story, but Buttercup, her loyal alpaca companion, steals the show! Subtle undertones of magical Irish Folklore added to the plot brought a vividness to the world-building of Wild Irish Rose. The story world was magical and the scenery beautiful. The reader is transported to rolling emerald green hills, rainbows, and the subtle scent of roses that lingers in the air around the historic inn. Envisioning this beautiful environment was a delight for me and I fell in love with the whimsical writing style.

The romance between Becca and Trevor Merriam was heartfelt; given their unique circumstances, it was fun to see their relationship grow. They meet when Trevor’s brother sends him to The Wild Irish Rose to make an offer on her inn and her land, which she refuses a million times over, no matter how much money the Merriam brothers’ oil business offers her, interested in the oil of Becca’s property. However, he soons finds himself in a dilemma between his family oil business and his budding interest in Becca and her menagerie of peculiar pets, brilliant business ideas, and those delicious scones he’s come accustomed to regularly enjoying.

Fans of large inter-involved families will appreciate the Irish-American Merriam family, all the way to their geriatric matchmaking Aunt and Uncle, honeymooning for the second time at the Wild Irish Rose. It’s a regular family reunion and I loved all the shenanigans and the energy they brought to the story.

Despite being titled the Wild Irish Rose, everything isn’t roses, as they say. Becca suffers from agoraphobia and panic attacks– conditions that I, as a reader, relate to. I was so happy to see it was handled with care, the author having a deep understanding of the conditions without resorting to theatrical scenes that poke fun at the debilitating disorders. This was a relief to me. I was also happy to see how Trevor handled the situation, without yet knowing the full truth, just wanting to help Becca. And her people and his family were so supportive– even accommodating Becca’s limitations. It was beautiful and how IT SHOULD BE, instead of the reality to many, which is the isolation one feels and perceived rejection from society. I was happy to see that Becca had so much support; she certainly is a lovable character worthy of such love, support, and accommodations. Trevor’s grand gesture regarding their unusual sleeping arrangement was so heartwarming and loving. It was the perfect setup, promising a beautiful future between the pair.

The only thing I found peculiar was a woman living in Ireland hoping to receive care from a psychiatrist in New York, which was the eventual plan, since she was motivated by Trevor and had strong desires and dreams to travel. However, most doctors won’t practice out-of-state due to insurance limitations or will require full payment, and without insurance, that appointment could run you up to five hundred USD. Are there no psychiatrists in Ireland? And wouldn’t it be preferable to receive care within one’s own country, especially when one’s country offers discounted and free healthcare? Any mentions of this NY Doctor had me pondering the above.

There is so much to enjoy about the Wild Irish Rose and the comedic dialogue had me laughing-out-loud. Buttercup,] the alpaca’s wild crush on Trevor and the endless teasing from his sister and other family members was hysterical and I couldn’t be happier that there is a whole series dedicated to this family. I look forward to reading the next installment!

Many thanks to Hambright PR and Ava Miles for everything!💕

I would absolutely recommend this fun, whimsical romance! Irish magic, lore, and the natural beauty held my interest throughout and the support and thoughtfulness warmed my heart. 5 stars, all the way!

Buttercup steals every scene she enters

This is a very well written, slightly spicy romance with a heavy dose of humor and several liberal splashes of sibling love and banter. And Buttercup. I will never forget Buttercup, and neither will you.

All the characters, main and supporting were well developed and lovable - even the animals and the antagonistic angry boss brother! No cliffhangers needed here; if every reader doesn't end up wanting to get to know more about the supporting characters' stories by the end I would be very surprised.

This is mainly a story of family, love, and communication. There are no real bad guys, no violence or even present danger, very mild language, and while this doesn't qualify as a sweet romance, the sex is not overly graphic nor does it feel smutty.

PG13 for sexual content and ongoing mental health issues caused by past violent traumas. No on-page violence and very mild language.

I'm a big fan of Ava Miles, and I've enjoyed each book I've read by her. But this one. WOW. I am in love. In love with Ireland, the Merriams (maybe not so much Connor still; he needs to grow on me), the Wild Irish Rose B&B, and last but not least, Buttercup. This book took traditional romance and made it so much deeper and covered issues that you never really see in romance. I loved the support system, I loved that the drama and issues being faced weren't so simple as just a miscommunication issue but something real that didn't get fully resolved immediately because that is life. Trevor is an absolute gem, I get why Buttercup fell so hard for him.

I'm so happy that Ava and Hambright PR did a release for the new covers (which are gorgeous) and I can't wait to see Caitlyn's story next.

The unique characters in this romcom-a coiffed and polished business man, an Irish MFC with her menagerie of funny animals and a hidden secret, and meddlesome family members and staff with a possible ghost mixed in-make for one comical story! Trevor initially sets out to purchase land from Becca but is initially met with resistance, both in his business pursuits and romantic feelings. Their romance comically develops with some spicy scenes along the way. The plot also broaches upon some emotional topics that showcases the support they show each other and from family members too. An entertaining and enduring start of a series with a beautiful setting.
Thanks to the author and Hambright PR for a copy. My thoughts are my own, honest and voluntary.

An absolute romp! I devoured this one. The writing is totally immersive and made me immediately want to spend time at Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast. The cast of characters (including the nosy dog and cat and the obsessed Alpaca Buttercup) are absolutely hilarious. They provide great levity to some heavy themes, including, Becca, the FMC, and her past trauma and current phobias. The relationship between Trevor and Becca is full of tension, yearning, while also being completely heartwarming. This is the first in the Merriams series and I NEED to know more about this family.

Highlights:
✨Billionaire Romance
✨Irish Bed & Breakfast
✨Meddling Matchmakers
✨Interloping Pets
✨Witty Banter

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed this book. Parts of it made me laugh and there were even a few that made me cry. We meet the Merriam family, a few generations and Becca, who owns the Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast. Trevor was sent to Ireland to try to convince Becca to sell her land to the Merriam family because there is oil there. She refuses to sell but Trevor refuses to give up. At first, it was because he didn't want to disappoint his brother, but then it was because he finally had found love which he had never found before. Buttercup the alpaca, who is part of the Wild Irish Rose Bed and Breakfast, falls in love with Trevor and Buttercup made me laugh, right down to Trevor's family taking a video and putting it on the Internet which goes viral.
We learn Becca's story which is, yes, I will agree with one of the other reviewers a little slow but for me, it was the perfect pace for the story, because there were so many other people that added so much to the story that had to be told. The way the story was written was what gave me a wide range of emotions that this story made me feel. When a book can make me laugh, cry, feel happy and sad, and to see the Mirriam family come together and see them in action was wonderful. Yes, as I read the story, I could see it all so clearly in my head, it was amazing. As I write this review and think of Buttercup, it still makes me laugh. When I got the book I didn't expect it to bring out so many emotions because I am not an emotional person.

This one was free on Amazon a while ago and I liked some of the other books by this author so I picked it up. I could not get into this one. I finished it eventually but it felt like it dragged on forever. It felt a bit like a Hallmark movie where the rich guy shows up to the small town and meets the girl who everyone loves...
The story tried to get some depth with a mental health issue but I just didn't connect very well with that particular struggle. The story did have some funny moments. The setting was great and integral to the story. Most of the dialogue was this over the top sibling banter stuff that just seemed very juvenile. I'm one of six so I've got plenty of siblings to talk to... the banter just didn't connect with me.
The happy ending was nice. So many things resolved.
Violence. Sex. Swearing. Childhood trauma, family drama, PTSD, some stuff

Zzz 😴

Snoozville. This book is so boring I couldn’t finish it. I kept waiting for it to get better, for something to happen. This couple was so unbelievable and ridiculous I lost interest. No one falls in real love after less than a week and runs around telling people and speaking of marriage. The way these two characters go on and on about their love to each other is fake cheesy and had me rolling my eyes. The idea of the story was good, the characters initially interesting but ugh I just couldn’t read anymore nothingness, cheesy lovey nonsense. Not even worth it for free during the pandemic.

Eh

The main character has agoraphobia. She runs a successful bed and breakfast and is a skilled knitter. She also is comfortable in hooking up with a stranger. In most stories this is fine but since I know agoraphobics I find the characterization a bit unrealistic. I loved the setting and I liked the characters except for Connor (such an asshat). The plot was just too far fetched. It's an ok read.

Nice romance, with colorful, somewhat perfect, characters and minimal drama. It’s the nice kind of happy ending romance that you just need to read every now and again to put a smile on your face. Full of lots of secondary characters who each have their own books, but not sure I have the energy to read about all of them. Loved the animals and the setting. Thanks, Barnes and Noble, for the serial read.

**MINOR SPOILERS**
This book is the first of the Merriams series. It also seems to be connected to the Dare Valley series. It is the first book I have read by this author. It was free and I wanted to try a new author. I do not plan to continue reading the series or the author.
Trevor is sent by his brother to buy a property on the Irish coast. They want to drill for oil. Because his cousin died in an offshore drilling accident, they want to buy land next to the shore in order to drill from land. Unfortunately for them, the property they want is owned by Becca whose family has owned the property for generations. During the book, it becomes clear that sometimes the Merriams, including Trevor, use unethical business practices to get their way.
Trevor was a bit cocky and my original impression of him was not completely positive. At the opening of the story, he plans to buy Becca’s property, sleep with her, and then move on. He also uses the words pussy and man card in his thinking about masculinity and I did not care for it.
Becca suffers from agoraphobia and has difficulty leaving home due to a traumatic incident. She tries to overcome it. Becca does a great job running an inn on the property. She is also beginning to keep alpacas, sheep, and rabbits that she can grow for yarn. Despite her agoraphobia, she connects with her community. I thought it was interesting for the author to highlight this mental health issue.
The relationship between Becca and Trevor develops quickly. They fall in love in a couple of days. I thought the author could have done more to develop the relationship between them and to explain why they are attracted to each other. It was “hello”, “let’s have sex”, “I love you”.
I also thought the author did a good job at bringing out a little information about yarn making and dyes.
The second half of the book was better than the first half as some of the siblings in the book got together. Their interaction was fun.
The author overused the use of the alpaca, Buttercup, for humor and distractions during the story. Twice, the alpaca was brought upstairs to Becca’s room which seems unrealistic and noisy, but somehow the alpaca caught them by surprise both times. Once was while Becca and Trevor were sleeping which did not seem very nice to do.
Trevor’s aunt and uncle come to stay at the inn while Trevor tries to negotiate with Becca. They add humor to the story as does their butler, Hargreaves.
I finished reading this book in order to write a review. Otherwise I might not have done so.

OK, let me be clear. I have given this book 3 stars very reluctantly. My fingers hovered over the 5 stars ...

I love the story of how Trevor meets Becca, the relationship between them and the way it blossoms. There's so much to love about this book - the author has the ability to really get beneath the character's psyche and show the reasons that they behave the way they do. The country of Ireland is almost a character in and of itself - it's made me want to visit the Wild Irish Rose myself and ask Aileen to bake me some plain scones :D ... it feels so real and is excellently written.

It's a lovely, touching story. All reasons to give it 5 stars, right? I hope the author is not offended by what I'm about to say. I'm saying a HELL of a lot of complimentary things as well - they are 100% true.

So why three stars? THIS IS ENTIRELY A PERSONAL VIEW and won't be shared by thousands of fans of this book ... I was so disappointed because it had WAY too much sex in it!

I understand that sex between characters is a way of showing bonding/relationships strengthening/trust growing, etc. But - for me - there was way too much of it. It's sad because it spoiled a truly lovely book. I mean no offence - at the end of the day, 50 Shades of Grey was splattered with sex and that became a best seller. :D Let me be clear - this book SHOULD become a best seller.

The author is very, very gifted at writing scenes and making them come to life, making you root for the characters, etc. I LOVED Caitlyn, and the relationship between the family members which was especially poignant after the story reached its zenith. The love between them - despite their differences - is powerful. I was almost cheering when the antagonist of the book actually apologised to Becca. That's not spoiling anything, I don't think.

On the whole, it was a wonderful book. If there had been less sex, I would have given it 5 stars. I hope that's fair. I can't figure out how to email the author but if she would like to promote this book and sees this review (and is not mortally wounded by it!) I would welcome her as a guest on my radio show which is relaunching (hopefully this week). At last count our audience figures were 128,000 listeners across 95 countries. If you do want to be a guest, Ava, feel free to either message me on here (if you can) or ... well, apparently you can reply to it and I'll see the reply. I would love to have you on my show.

Thank you to Hambright PR and Ava Miles for providing me with a gifted copy of Wild Irish Rose. All opinions are my own.

Trevor Merriam’s family is looking to capitalize on an oil deposit in Ireland, but first they have to convince Becca O’Neill to sell her land to them. Becca owns and runs the Wild Irish Rose B&B and has already turned down the offer. So Trevor’s brother Connor decides to send him to meet with Becca and change her mind. When the two of them meet, there’s an instant attraction, but being on opposite sides makes things difficult for the way they feel about one another. And if that’s not enough, Trevor’s Aunt Clara and Uncle Arthur from Dare Valley decide to visit the B&B for a second honeymoon and matchmaking mission. Now the B&B is filled with Trevor’s family, the ghosts of Becca’s trauma, complicated feelings, and a dog, cat, and alpaca!

Wild Irish Rose is the first book in The Merriam’s series. If you’re looking for a sweet, kick your feet romance, Wild Irish Rose hits the target!! I absolutely loved the storyline, with Trevor’s family trying to acquire Becca’s land and her refusal to sell. Trevor’s brother has his reasons for wanting the ability to drill from land and Becca has her own secrets for needing to keep her land and remain at the B&B.

I liked the romance between Trevor and Becca, and that they let their feelings for one another grow, despite the conflict of the business side of the story. Trevor’s family members bring some fun side characters to the story, and I loved that Miles brought in Arthur Hale’s character from the Dare Valley series. I love him so much!! Becca has a great found family with her at the B&B and a heartbreaking backstory, that Miles uses to bring some great character growth to the story.

The setting is amazing, and I loved Miles descriptions of the B&B, surrounding land, and Becca’s new business endeavor, that brings sheep, rabbits, and alpaca’s to the property. I also enjoyed the way she made Becca’s pets, Boru, Hatshep, and Buttercup, important characters in the book. It brought an extra fun, whimsical feel to the story.

Wild Irish Rose is a perfect first book in this series, and I definitely recommend it if you love family dynamics, insta-attraction, animal side characters, and romance that makes you smile throughout the story.

This is Trevor and Becca’s story. Becca owns 490 acres and a Bed and Breakfast on coastal Ireland. Trevor is a billionaire and board member of his families oil and gas enterprise. He has been sent to convince Becca to sell her property or at least 200 acres to his company. He isn’t aware that Becca suffers from agoraphobia.

He falls in love with her bed and breakfast and the beauty of the area and with Becca herself. His newly married 80ish year old Aunt and Uncle decide to spend their second honeymoon at the bed and breakfast also and fall in love with it also. His brother repeatedly pressures him to close the deal and threatens to send another brother who does whatever it takes to close deals to Ireland.

Trevor no longer wants to push Becca to sell because of his love for her and the beauty of her property. But knows if Quinn is sent things will get nasty quickly.

Now read the book to find out whose side wins the battle and get to know Buttercup, the alpaca who falls in love with Trevor. Also Boru (irish sitter) and Hatshep (Persian cat) who delight in stealing Trevor’s clothes.

This book is humorous in addition to being an excellent representation of mental health dealing with agoraphobia and family conflicts.

I highly recommend this book.

Wild Irish Rose is an absolute gem of a story; it's heartwarming, hilarious, and rich with emotion. I was completely swept away by the lush Irish setting, the lovable characters, and the romance that felt so authentic and deeply earned.

Becca O’Neill is independent, passionate about her land and her dreams, and deeply human in her fears and vulnerabilities. Her B&B near the cliffs of County Cork is more than just a business- it’s her sanctuary, her legacy, and a character in its own right. Then comes Trevor Merriam, the charming yet conflicted businessman sent to convince her to sell. But what starts as a business arrangement quickly turns into something far more personal and powerful.

Their chemistry is evident from the start, but what really makes this romance is the emotion behind every single interaction. Trevor’s transformation, the tension with his family, and Becca’s hidden pain all unfold at the perfect pace. Add in a quirky and lovable cast of side characters-including a meddling but lovable Aunt Clara and Uncle Arthur, loyal friends Aileen and Cian, and of course Buttercup, the alpaca with elite matchmaking skills- and you’ve got a story that sparkles with warmth and wit.

I laughed out loud, teared up more than once, and closed the book with a happy sigh and a full heart. Ava Miles has delivered a beautiful story about love, legacy, and listening to your heart- even when it terrifies you. If you're looking for a cozy, emotionally rich romance set against the magic of Ireland, Wild Irish Rose is not to be missed. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!

Wild Irish Rose delivers a charming enemies-to-lovers romance with small-town vibes, family meddling, and a bed-and-breakfast full of personality—both human and animal. Trevor Merriam is used to sealing the deal, but when his brother sends him to a quiet Irish village to convince Becca O’Neill to sell her beloved inn and land, he quickly realizes he’s in over his head. Becca isn’t just unwilling—she’s ready for battle. And between her loyal townspeople, a stubborn Irish setter, a cat with an attitude, and an alpaca that seems to have a crush on Trevor, he’s got his work cut out for him.
Becca has poured her heart into Wild Irish Rose, carrying on a family legacy that means everything to her. Selling isn’t an option. But Trevor isn’t just some corporate suit—he’s persistent, charming, and, much to her dismay, dangerously easy to fall for. As their chemistry grows, so do the complications. Trevor’s family wants this deal closed, and Becca has secrets that make trusting someone new a challenge.
This story has heart, humor, and a cast of lovable side characters (seriously, Buttercup the alpaca deserves a mention). Becca and Trevor’s romance feels natural, with banter, tension, and just the right amount of push and pull. The setting adds so much charm, making you feel like you’re right there in the Irish countryside. If you love small-town romance with a bit of family chaos, an independent heroine, and a hero willing to fight for love, this one’s worth picking up.
