Ali Parker is a full-time contemporary and new adult romance writer with more than a hundred and twenty books behind her. She loves coffee, watching a great movie, and hanging out with her hubs. By hanging out, she means making out. The man is hot. Hello. She’s a creative at heart and loves coming up with more ideas than any one person should be allowed to access. She lives in Tennessee with her hubs, teenage son, two grown daughters, and two love-of-her-life grandbabies! Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
Dallas has major daddy issues throughout the story. Even though he was a kid when he broke up with Elise, he never defended her - even as an adult. Dallas just practiced avoidance with his father, that is when he wasn't agreeing with dad that Elise was not going to be in his life. Dallas' description of his relationship with his deceased wife was also inconsistent. The ending was abrupt and personality turnarounds too quick.
Redemption & A Second Chance Elise and Dallas were sort of high school sweethearts. However, his father hated her and encouraged Dallas to dump her and play around. In fact, Dallas, whom I admit I found very difficult to like is, in many ways, an immature 'man' trying to live up to his father's expectations but always failing. He even married a woman that he didn't love to please his father. The only good thing that came out of that marriage was his adorable five year old son, Roy. Dallas has so much to be ashamed for - his pathetic womanising user ways, the way he has used every woman that he's been in a supposed 'relationship' with. Most especially his whole behaviour towards Elise who is a good person whose only fault was that she loved him. He uses her as a booty call not caring about her feelings. If I'd been her I wouldn't have given him the time of day. However, this is a work of fiction and I only hope to goodness she made him have a full medical checkup before having s@x with him. Ali Parker is one of the USA's top best selling authors for a very good reason - she writes exceptional stories with fascinating characters and read hot steamy passion that can't be denied. This is all about shame, redemption and forgiveness. This is where Dallas, for once in his life 'mans up' and does the right thing and follows his heart to do the right thing. He loves Elise and needs to do the right thing by her but first he must prove that he is worthy of her love and trust. Elise needs to be there for her family and , as always, do her best. She is one amazing young feisty woman and I loved the way that she and Roy interacted as he needed someone like her in his life. Dallas needs her in so many ways it's all about whether he can be the very best that he is capable of being. Do they stand a chance? To find out you'll need to read the story. By the end of the story I actually did like Dallas but I confess that he is the only main character of any of Ali's stories that I have struggled to like. This just proves, yet again, how good a writer that Ali Parker is and why I will be reaching for her next book as soon as it is published. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Definitely recommended
Chance Becker - Human Relations for Treo Publishing
Elise Billingsly - according to Dallas "The girl who had my heart wrapped around her pinky finger and didn't even know it."
Elijah Miller - Account Manager for Treo Publishing who had gone to high school with Dallas
Roy Jansen - Dallas' 5 year old son
Kate Billingsly = Elise's older sister
Winzly - an agent who works closely with Treo Publishing
Dallas and Elise had both been band students of Mr Arthur Johnson in Bar Harbor, Maine. Mr Johnson is retiring and they meet at his retirement party. Elise gets up and leaves. They had dated in high school and something must have happened.
Winzly sends Dallas an email with info on a new writer she KNOWS is going to be a hit. Dallas knows Winzly is good with her predictions. When Dallas goes to the arranged dinner at a local restaurant to meet this new writer, it is Elise. They both actually talk business. One gets the feeling Dallas would like the conversation to be more personal but Elise is having none of that talk and Dallas respects her enough to keep it all business.
However, the longer they discuss her signing to Treo Publishing, the narrower the line becomes between business and pleasure.
Dallas is the CEO of his father's publishing firm who is looking for the new up and coming writer and is a single father. Elise is a writer struggling with her first book and looking to make a deal to get her book published to help her family financially. Elise and Dallas were together in high school when Dallas wasn't running around with other girls. Dallas' father hated Elise and told Dallas to dump her. When Elise shows up for a meeting with Dallas, they are both shocked to see each other. Dallas sees this opportunity as a way to make amends for his past with Elise and to show her he has changed. Can Dallas get his father to approve of Elise's contract as a new writer without him finding out who she is? Can Dallas prove to Elise he has changed since high school? Can Elise forgive Dallas for hurting her in high school? Can Dallas and Elise find their happily ever after? I really liked Fall For Me Again by Ali Parker. I would definitely recommend getting Fall For Me Again by Ali Parker. I received an ARC of this story, and I am leaving my honest review.
It took me a few tries to get into this book and some of the back story is a little similar to other like minded books, however once in I really did enjoy the read. I wasn’t at all keen on who Dallas used to be but do believe people change and second chances are a thing for a reason. Elise is a great character and the history between the two seems insurmountable especially considering Dallas’s father really didn’t like Elise back in the day. Elise like Dallas however deserves a 2nd chance and this book does deserve a 2nd glance. I received an ARC copy of this book and I’m leaving my honest review. I have read better, certainly from Ali but it was easy to read and enjoyable and I would recommend it, certainly to anyone who wants to enjoy a read they can pick up and put down.
This book was such a lovely read and I'm so happy I came across it and found a new Author to Love!
I absolutely loved reading this book! It was a nice easy read with lots of twists and turns.
I love second chance romance books. But this one exceeded my expectations!!
The story-line was great and worked so well! The chemistry between Dallas and Elise was beautiful, and with how much detail was in the book, I felt like I was right there along with them!
This book was very enjoyable and kept me wanting to read more and see how things turned out. I would 100% recommend it! I can't wait to read more by this Author.
The summary of the book makes the story sound better than it is. No real angst. I have found the characters to be flat. You have hints of what happened in the past all along the book but the final revelation is quite underwelming. The h gets over their past pretty easily. Doormat and pushover. The H doesn't grovel at all... He's just forgiven because since he's a decent parent for his kid then he must be reliable and trustworthy. Just like that. He never really stands up to his dad who is a douche that has it out for the h since the beginning of time for no reason. For me it was really hard to finish.

Dallas and Elise were high school sweethearts. When her father lost his job and their social status, Dallas dropped her for the girl his father favored. Dallas is now running the family publishing company and Elise is the new writer that his company is courting. When Elise meets the representative for the publisher, she was not expecting to see Dallas. The feelings that they had for each other have not died done not by a long shot. It is one thing to write about love, but will Elise be able to guard her heart and work with Dallas for the long haul? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Fall For Me Again 4 Stars I received a free copy of the steamy Bar Harbor, Maine set novel Fall For Me Again by Ali Parker in The Parker's Fall in Love Box Set by Ali & Weston Parker and C. Morgan, and this review was given freely. Vivid descriptions fill this heartwarming story of forgiveness, attraction, love, and family that is complicated by an affluent and overly critical father. Irony, Coincidence, and fate result in single dad and Treo Publishing head of Public Relations, Dallas Jansen reuniting with his Baker High School, author Elise Billingsly right before Thanksgiving. 18+ for frequent intimate scenes.
This is a second chance that I enjoyed reading from the start. I really liked Elise, there was hardship that happened to her and her family when she was a teenager, having Dallas as a friend at that time was important to her. As the story progresses, digging in to what happened between them all those years earlier kept the pages turning. The connection between Dallas and Elise is still there and the sparks are still intense. I really liked their journey, I adored Dallas's son and how their new relationship grew and evolved from what it was.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The emotion and feeling in this floor me...The story of Dallas and Elise it's a beautiful, bumpy emotional one. Dallas wasn't the best version of himself when they were younger, but he has grown being a single Father for 5 years. Elise is still bitter over how their relationship ended, although Dallas is showing her that is mature and not the man he was back then. Will they be able to work together and forge a relationship? Ali Parker can pen some wicked good romances - I really believe that this one has topped my list of her books.
Second chance romance of Dallas and Elise. I mostly enjoyed the story but felt a couple of things were still a bit up in the air at the end. One of the things I like most about second chance romances are the shared memories of past moments; their past was so painful that there weren’t many of them. I liked Elise and her honesty. Dallas, well, his relationship with his father was complicated & he was unwilling to rock the boat. He could have used some of Elise's honesty. Well-written story.
With each book that I read from you, I become more and more in love with the writing and your characters. This book was no different. It transported me into a story that I loved so kuch. It felt as if I was there right along side them. I laughed, cried and just plain got so emotional that I had to see how it finished. Thank you giving us another great read and I'm looking forward to reading what's next. I give this book 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy.
This is hard to put in words, so for lack of a better way of saying it, the H was kind of a pushover. He let his father basically dictate his life. He was nice, but needed balls. I can't even say he was beta. The reason I kept reading was bc I liked our h and her sister. Her parents? Eh. I'm sure a lot of readers will like this one, but it didn't make me sit up and take notice. Ali Parker writes well, though. KU
Fall for Me Again is another well written story from Ali Parker. This is a second chance love story that just captures your heart from the get go. A real sweet, exciting and very enjoyable story that just keeps you hooked and turning the pages quickly. The characters are well developed with some really great chemistry. There are some twists and turns with a bit of drama, a must read. I loved this book and highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This story is captivating. The plot surrounds high school ex’s, who’s paths cross again. The emotional attachment that you find yourself giving to the main characters a compliment to Ali Parker. The heat in the sex is steamy and added into the mix is a dislike that could upturn the whole shebang. I will definitely be looking at Ali’s other writings.
A struggling writer who enjoys being alone, the exboyfriend that is the PR director for his fathers company. She is the new up & coming writer he has a meeting with. Chemistry & sparks erupt and a few outings together & they can’t control themselves. Cute second hand romance, Roy is adorable too.
Awesome, Drama, Sexual, Delish, Lovely story about a stormy relationship between the two character's in this story! Story was absolutely amazing, and funny at times. I simply enjoyed reading this fantastic book! This author has written a exceptional awesome book! ENJOY
I have read several of Ali Parkers books and she has a way to bring the reader in and be a part of the book. You laugh, you cry, you get frustrated with the characters.
Her development of the plot and characters is spot on and keeps the reader engaged.
This book was about love, loss, growth, guilt, shame, and forgiveness. I recommend this book.
I loved Fall for Me Again!! I just loved Dallas and Elise and little Roy story!! It just warmed you heart and make you happy!! He broke her heart as a teenager but when they meet again as adults they fell in love all over again!! I would recommend this book to everyone!!
Second chance romances are the absolute best. In this one, you will feel all of the feels while getting a peek into how hard the writing industry is. I cannot wait to see if there are more books with some of the side characters.
I truly enjoyed this beautifully written, second chance love story. It’s heartwarming, filled with love, suspense and drama. I instantly connected with Elise’s witty strong willed character. I highly recommend this book it’s absolutely entertaining!! This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy
This was my first book by this author. I loved the book and the story. This book was about second chances. I was routing for Dallas and Elise and I felt like I was part of their journey. This is a must read, get your copy today.
A fantastic read. It had all the feel goods. The holidays played a part but the book showed love rekindled. Love growth and forgiveness. This book was angsty and heartfelt. Dramatic and hella steamy.
I felt this book left a lot to be desired. It was intriguing enough that I finished it. Had some steamy scenes but overall, it felt like it was missing something and the ending seemed super rushed. The characters were likeable enough but I personally just felt it was missing that spark. 3.5 stars.
Sorry i just couldnt get into this book. The couple just didnt hit it off with me. Just was boring and maybe it's me i like a little more action, angst etc. About 30 to 40% I started skimming. Ended up not finishing. Maybe I might try to finish later.
Once again you've made cry. You make your characters seen like my friends. It is wonderful to be a part of your stories. Not Sexy Romantic. Love it. Judy
