Young Billionaires #6

Christmas with the Billionaire

Rate this book
‘I got stuck in an elevator with a Christmas elf,’ was not a sentence Zoë Farraday ever thought she would have to utter.

Asking him to come home with her for Christmas and pretend to be her boyfriend was madness and her only excuse was the trauma of her near-death experience by way of plummeting elevator. Or perhaps the way he filled out that elf costume momentarily melted her brain. It may also have had something to do with her mother’s meddling and the very real possibility of being set up with one of her dad’s colleagues that pushed her over the edge.

She didn’t think he’d accept.

This is a standalone sexy billionaire romance - no cliff-hanger!

I am a business owner, artist, cook, mother and wife. I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia with my wonderful husband, two beautiful sons, a dog and a cat (both of which are female because, hey, we needed to balance all that testosterone!)

I am a ferocious reader with eclectic tastes and have always wanted to write, but never had the opportunity due to one reason or another (excuses, really) until finally taking the bullet between my teeth in 2014 and just making myself do it.

I love to write stories with heart and a message and believe in strong female characters who do not necessarily have to be aggressive to show their strength.

The 14th Christmas Romance from Kobo+ in 2023. This is a Australian Christmas Romance. A billionaire and a beautiful young marketing executive meet in an elevator. She needs a fake boyfriend for Christmas to throw her mother off pressuring her to get married and have grandchildren for her mom and dad. His family already made plans so he accepts but gives his mother's maiden name instead of Austin (Austin Industies which happens to be Zoe's new job supposedly working with Blake)
They are seriously attracted to one another and one thing leads to another. Could there be love?

This story had some great Australian Christmas traditions and there was the warm feeling of family with all of Zoe's relatives. Even though they were nosey as hell you could see the love they all shared. Blake's family just cared about the family business not about each member of the family and their own interests and aspirations. Zoe and Blake's Romance had lots of hot sexy scenes and there were some ommisions of the truth about Blake's last name that split them up until friends and family helped them get back together. I gave this 4 ⭐ stars.

Loved the Aussie Christmas!

I loved this story, mainly for the descriptors of the Aussie Bush Christmas! Whilst Blake was such a Sweetheart, and Zoe a Darling at her family home, if not a little hypocrital, I loved the Farraday Family dynamic.
The description of the Christmas Bush dance reminded me of trips to my Great Aunty Pearl and Uncle Geoff, who used to live in a tiny community at a place called Putty, but they were the most hospitable and welcoming people. The only thing missing from the kids running around the hall during the dance was the games of Spotlight in the cemetary beside the hall we used to play!
Thanks Emma, for a fun and engaging story all around.

This book was a bit slow and it took me longer to finish than usual. It was dreading on and it lacked some speed. I have mixed feelings about Zoë. Her hot and cold attitude made me dislike her. I absolutely loved Blake, he was such a sweetheart. However there were some OTT things going on in this book. Blake never revealed being a billionaire or cares about this status, but then he lets a helicopter pick him up from Zoë’s family home? Come one, just call yourself an Uber. Then Zoë overhearing a “private” telephone call between Rory and Blake. Why is she calling her brother on speakerphone in the ladies room of all places, if she claims to be having a private conversation? That were two WTF moments which cost this book a star for sure. Overall a good Christmas read. Although you have to get used to the fact this book takes place in Australia and therefore it’s a summery Christmas instead of a snowy one. But I thought that was a nice change compared to other Christmas romance novels.

Christmas with the Billionaire: A Sex Billionaire Christmas Romance

The love story of Zoe and Blake. Zoe just came off a baby broke up. Her ex boyfriend stole her idea and got the promotion she should had gotten. How she has a new job -- problem her boss's brother will be working with her.
Blake has return and his family want him to work at their company. He met Zoe when the elevator has stop on it's way down. They make plan to visit her family homestead. He does not tell herbal he is. Can they find love? Great story.

This is labeled as “erotic”, but it really is more of a “contemporary romance” with a couple of sex scenes thrown in. They weren’t particularly creative compared to more “erotic” books I’ve read. The author also warns of “offensive” language, but, again, it’s nowhere near to the degree I’ve read in similar stories. Other than Blake dressing up as a Christmas elf and Santa Claus for a family Christmas gathering, there’s nothing really “Christmassy” about the story. It’s not particularly creative, either. It’s just kind of “meh.”

Blake & Zoe

Blake wasn't appreciated by his family, Zoe thought her family was too much in her business. Blake, coming from a extremely wealthy family felt disconnected from his family who worshipped the almighty dollar takes a year to travel and volunteer his time to help people who didn't have the privileges he grew up with. Zoe is a workaholic that was burned by her ex who took credit for work she did which earned him a promotion and raise. Read the book, definitely worth it!!!

Blake and Zoe's Christmas trip home to her hometown turned out more than could hope for.

The perfect Christmas until your secrets are revealed. Then all hell breaks loose. I'm it has a Happy ending. I can hardly blame Blake for changing his name. With his pathetic family, I wouldn't want to be recognized as an Austin either.

Beautiful Christmas story

This was my first book by Emma Lea. Was a nice beautiful Christmas story. With obnoxious families from both extremes in your face and business and barely there at all.

A story about a man trying to find a family & a woman looking for a fake date for her family’s Christmas celebration. Fake relationship and mistaken identity.

This book is doing itself a disservice with the cheesy "topless man" cover; it's actually much better than that! I'd market it as a cute chicklit novel in the vein of Sophie Kinsella or Meg Cabot, rather. Yes, it has sex scenes, but not as many as you'd expect from a "steamy romance", and lots of popular chicklit novels (eg: The Wedding Date or The Kiss Quotient) have even more.

I loved so much about this book. Fake romance becomes real? Check. Sexual tension? Check. Hidden identity? Check. Interesting characters and a fun family? Check.

And my favourite thing? It's set in Australia over Christmas! Now don't get me wrong, I love me some snowy fairytale Christmas romances set in America or the UK. But I grew up in the southern hemisphere, and it was so lovely to see my kind of family Christmas as the backdrop to this story. Watermelon slices, swimming, pavlova, Santa suits being WAY too hot to wear, heat and sudden storms that blow up out of nowhere... I'm here for all of it.
