Nelson’s early morning meeting at the docks with Elizabeth Etchings offers only bad news. Her brother—and Nelson’s old friend—has gone missing on his days off while his ship was docked in Ensenada. A trip to where he’d last been seen shows the local color … and reveals Nelson’s friend has gotten into bigger trouble than anyone could imagine.
Elizabeth might have had a hand in now sending two men to Baja to look for her brother, but she will not stay behind. Her brother is in danger … and he’s the only family she has left.
It doesn’t take long for Nelson to realize that Elizabeth has caught the eye of someone who rules that corner of the world. She’s now in jeopardy too—possibly more than her brother. Keeping her safe moves up Nelson’s priority list. Until both issues merge, and everything goes south …

I am still catching up on this series and I really wish I was already. There are some references to folks I haven't gotten to know yet but I soon will. Nelson is very surprised when the woman giving the seminar asks to see him before hand. Mason delivers this message and when the time arrives, Nelson is still a bit confused.
When Elizabeth Etchings introduces herself and tells him he knows her brother, he doesn't recognize the name that is until she gives his nickname Skunk. Then she explains he's missing and why she needs his help. With Mason there it was easier to get permission to begin this search and also get a partner to assist.
Of course things go a bit haywire right away when Elizabeth shows up in Mexico, much to their surprise.
Investigations can be long and arduous, but they have little time to figure everything out.
I loved the way this progressed in a slow and twisted manner. Elizabeth and Nelson have some chemistry that Taylor picks up on almost immediately. That was a shock to Nelson and just added to the fun stuff.
Plenty of action, tension, suspense and just enough heat!
I can't wait to read Taylor's story it appears he may be next! In the meantime I am going to catch up on the rest of this series.
A whole new explosive, dynamic, thrilling romantic suspense from Dale Mayer's SEALS of Honor Series that made me feel incredibly alive and excited!
Nelson held a spark that was hard to ignore. Sigh worthy romance mixed with the most blood rushing action a reader like me could ever desire. This book was great! The characters were amazing and deep while the plot promised thrills, mystery and sexiness and delivered 100%. Dale Mayer is a treasure when it comes to great writing.
Nelson: SEALS of Honor gets a SOLID FIVE EXCITING STARS!
As always Dale writes a fantastic book. To me this book is different from the beginning books I've read. But still a good read just the same. Nelson has to help this engineer to find her brother who has gone missing. Well, while in Mexico, she attracts interest from someone and it's not good. Of course she had to go along and help Nelson and Taylor find her brother. Why can't women (this one anyway) do what she was told and not cause more trouble. You'll find danger, death and love in this book. HEA.
When a friend of Nelson’s goes missing, his sister begs Nelson to help her find him. Between Mexican thugs, traitorous American seamen and an uncooperative NCIS agent, Nathan has his hands full, but when Elizabeth also turns up in Mexico, his task has just become more difficult. Strong characters, action-filled storyline and a mystery that needs to be solved. Who could ask for more!

This is another fantastic book in Dale Mayer’s “SEALs of Honor” series. Nelson Brown and his fellow SEAL, Taylor, are looking for Elizabeth Etchings’ missing brother Chris, who is also a SEAL. Since the Navy believes he is AWOL, they are in no hurry to spend the time and/or money to locate him. However, Elizabeth believes he is in trouble and is running for his life.
The Navy gives Nelson and Taylor four days to hunt for Chris, and they refuse to allow Elizabeth to accompany them. Of course, Elizabeth ignores them and makes her own way to Ensenada where Chris was last seen. While there, they discover the murder of another American seaman. As a result, the Navy now changes Chris’s disappearance from AWOL to murder suspect.
Dale Mayer is a skilled suspense writer who comes up with many unusual twists and turns as Elizabeth and the two SEALs wander through the dangerous areas in Mexico. There they are openly staying on the radar of the local “riffraff” who want them to go home or to die.
I love the relationship between Nelson, Elizabeth and Taylor. For Nelson and Taylor, this trip is just another mission for them. Every obstacle is just another hurdle in their latest assignment. The way they talk and act as they handle each obstacle reminds me of the interactions in the old detective shows in the 1960s.
Even when they discover Elizabeth has secretly joined them, neither of the men complains about how much her existence has added to the difficulty of their job. They just treat her as another companion even though they now must split their time in half since someone has to always stay and watch her.
As the book progresses, we slowly realize that an attraction is growing between Elizabeth and Nelson. Yet, this never crosses over, or interferes with, the working relationship between the three main characters.
This is another intriguing and suspenseful book by Dale Mayer.
This latest book in this series sucks you in from the very beginning! A single, beautiful woman traveling alone to Mexico makes this story intense from the very start and keeps you glued to every page. Who does that?
Elizabeth is out to find her brother, Skunk, who went missing from the Navy and NCIS is not very forthcoming with information nor do they seem concerned about Skunk’s safety. Skunk’s Navy friend, Nelson is tasked, along with his Teammate, Taylor, with helping to investigate Skunk’s disappearance. I enjoy how Elizabeth engages Nelson and Taylor when she finds them in a seedy little Mexican bar trying to be discreet and blend in. Then we have trouble. This story winds up fast when Chelsea, the local Queen of the streets, takes an instant dislike of Elizabeth and encourages them all to get out of town.
Things get very dangerous very fast when King, the local crime lord, gets involved and takes a shine to Elizabeth while Queen gets very jealous. In this place, people think nothing of murdering someone to make them feel better. Henchmen, goons and intimidation are the norm as well as power and control.
I enjoyed this very fast-paced, action-packed page-turner combined with the sweet, naïve and positive attitude of Elizabeth knowing her brother is an innocent man. Some surprises along the way but there are also HOT heroes to help soothe and entertain us as we devour this one. I loved it!
When Nelson has an early morning meeting with Elizabeth Etchings he receives bad news - an old friend of his (and her brother) has gone missing from his ship when it was docked in Ensenada. So Nelson finds that both himself and his friend/colleague Taylor are sent with 4 days to find out what has happened to him. However, when they get there it becomes apparent that Elizabeth is not going to sit back and wait but has come to search too - she might be in danger but her brother is the only family she has left. Nelson soon realises he needs to protect Elizabeth as she has caught the eye of someone who rules the area and so she is now in danger. When the issues merge everything goes south and the danger level is totally off the scale - can they all come out of this alive?
This was a lovely story with so much danger and drama it was refreshingly different from the normal pattern of the books in this series. I really enjoyed the way Elizabeth thought she was capable but was actually bumbling from one situation to another with the SEALs doing there best to keep her alive. I also enjoyed the twist with the fact that not everyone in the navy was honourable and that good could conquer evil even if it was very difficult to get there. Nelson and Elizabeth were a great match as she pushed him out of his comfort one all of the time. Well written and very enjoyable.
I was kindly provided this book as an ARC; in exchange for my honest review. This is book 21 in the SEALs Of Honor series. This book revolves around Nelson and his “sidekick Taylor; and Elizabeth.
This is a very looong series; with several connected series. I would say it was close to as good/great as the previous books in series. Elizabeth’s brother Chris (Skunk) goes missing while on shore leave in Ensenada. She contacts his Navy friend Nelson to assist her in locating her brother; the Navy is convinced he’s abandoned his commission and are pursuing a potential court martial. This story is romance light (again I really have trouble with “insta-love.”), but seemed more of a suspense-mystery story. There were something’s brought up in the story (like Elizabeth’s fathers suspicious and untimely death; that are just left hanging. Other than that it’s a fast and easy read, limited action and violence (at the end), and again romance light - take what you want from that.
I’d give it 3 1/2 stars; but, because I love Ms. Dale’s books; so I gave the rating a slight bump to 4 stars (glass half full..)

A US Navy seaman, Chris "Skunk" Etchings, goes missing while his ship is docked in Ensenada, leaving his sister to seek answers and find him. Elizabeth, an engineer who often works with the Navy, is frustrated with the NCIS investigation and decides to strike out on her own hoping to locate her brother.
Navy SEAL Nelson Brown knew "Skunk" and is one of the first to be approached by Elizabeth with questions. In no time, Nelson and his buddy, Taylor, are given four days to do their own investigation of the events in Baja. They did not expect Elizabeth to show up hours after they arrived.
The story is a page turning combination of local gang members, dark waterfront/docks and pulling pieces of a puzzle together while friendships and feelings grow among Nelson, Elizabeth and Taylor. The locals with whom they become entangled keep the suspense turned up on high.
Dale Mayer brings a fresh plot to the SEALs of Honor series combined with some of our favorite characters. A home run that leaves readers waiting for the next story.

Nelson by Dale Mayer SEALs of Honor Series Nelson Brown just returned from a mission to the UK. He had to be back for training. One of the speakers wanted to meet with him ahead of time. He remembered her from another conference but didn't know her. And he didn't realize he knew her brother...until that meeting. He was missing and the woman wanted Nelson's help in finding him.
Elizabeth Etchings just lost her father eight weeks earlier, and now, the only family she had left was missing. Chris wouldn't just walk away from the navy like NCIS figured he did. He was in trouble and she wouldn't give up on him until she found out what was going on.
Off to Mexico Nelson and Taylor go to search for his friend Skunk. NCIS is giving them four days to find an answer. Nelson doesn't expect it when Elizabeth sits down in the bar with them. Now, they have to look for her brother, avoid the local “mafia” types, and watch out for a woman they didn't plan on. And then, there's that “keepers” thing with anyone connected to Mason. Another SEAL adventure with suspense, action, and romance. **Sexual content and language https://justjudysjumbles.blogspot.com...
Nelson has just finished one job in which his single teammate found love. Now according to Taylor, another of his single teammates, it's his turn to fall. And fall he does for a woman who sends him to Ensenada to search for her brother and an old friend of his. Once there the clues lead them to believe that something sinister is going on and it's not what Nelson imagined it to be.
Elizabeth is the missing person's sister and she is determined to help out anyway she can. She defies the suggestion that she stay behind and shows up in Ensenada with Nelson and his teammate Taylor. Elizabeth is sweet and innocent a bit naive and well those qualities and one or two more catch the eye of some bad people and she becomes a target.
Nelson and Taylor have to work fast before Elizabeth and her brother disappear into the bowels of Ensenada.
This was a fast paced story with a few twists and turns along the way. These Navy SEALS fall hard and fast for woman who are just as amazing as the SEALS themselves. Can't wait to read Taylor's story next.
Elizabeth Etchings has asked for help to find her missing brother. He disappeared in Ensenada while on leave from his ship and she is worried the Navy will settle for AWOL without searching for him. Nelson and Taylor (Navy Seals) have been sent to find him and to their surprise Elizabeth has followed them. Due to some pretty unsafe areas there, Nelson feels he is responsible for her safety as well as searching for the missing seaman. Elizabeth and her open friendly way has innocently attracted the attention of a mob boss and the jealousy of his girl. All this complicates what would have been a much easier task. Nelson's feelings are growing past the protective stage which is not helping as it is distracting which he doesn't need now. This story with twists and turns is all wrapped up with all ends tucked into place. Then a hint of the next book is added which will be about Taylor. I really have enjoyed this series--one of my favorites!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a great read. I truly love reading this series. It is full of murder, mayhem and mystery with romance thrown in. I adored Nelson and Elizabeth's story. Nelson and Taylor go to Mexico to locate Elizabeth's missing brother Chris. Elizabeth is not one to sit back and wait so she goes to Mexico herself looking for Chris. The journey to a HEA and locating Chris is just one that captured me right from the beginning (okay the Prologue is usually the Epilogue of the prior book so I was waiting patiently for this.) There was so much going on here that I was kept guessing as to what happened to Chris?
I loved the dual POV format that this was written in. The insight was one that really helped me to connect to the characters so much better.
I can't wait for Taylor's story which is up next!! I recommend this story to anyone over the age of 18.
When Nelson is asked to help find a friend, Skunk, who texted him asking for help, he meets the sister, Elizabeth, who is determined to find her brother. So much so she follows Nelson and Taylor to Mexico to help in the search and while doing so inadvertently grabs the attention of a kingpin and his queen, while also discovering a body and searching for clues so her brother doesn’t get arrested for murder. Another great read with a bit of steam, suspense, some action and insta love. I liked these two even though at times Elizabeth was a bit naive and stubborn but I liked her determination. I also liked Nelson, who even though fights the “keeper” at first, he doesn’t deny it when it really matters. I really liked the ending and how it all played out, as I did not see that coming. A read that had me flipping the pages with a couple of twists and turns with a great ending. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
OMG! Another FANTASTIC story! This story is about a missing brother. Elizabeth enlists the help of Mason's group but specifically wants Nelson to help find her missing brother. The trio - as Taylor is sent with Nelson - end up in Mexico. Elizabeth is determined to find her brother and doesn't realize that fraternizing with a kingpin gets her into a dangerous situation. The trio has 4 days to find her brother before they are sent home. The end comes to a horrific conclusion as the girlfriend of the kingpin wants Elizabeth dead. It's at this point that Elizabeth finds her brother and try to escape but things get pretty hairy when the girlfriend goes crazy and pretty much kills all of the kingpin's henchmen as well as the kingpin then kills herself. At least Elizabeth, her brother, Nelson and Taylor came out fairly. Now Nelson and Elizabeth profess their love for each other and work on their happily ever after! FANTASTIC job Dale! I would recommend this book.
Book 20 in this incredible series is a little different and I appreciated the differences. It is amazing this series is still going strong and holding everyone's attention. Nelson and Taylor end up in Mexico to help Elizabeth find her brother, considered AWOL and a possible murderer. We meet a lot of different people here, the bad, the good, the indifferent, and I really hoped that bit of sunshine would help King be a better person. That's all I am saying here. This one has the expected hot sex, but its at the end. An intriguing read with suspense, and what really happened? I enjoyed the mystery aspect also. Come along on the ride, with an Alpha, giving male, and opinionated intelligent women and the mystery of her brother in Mexico. Thank you Dale Mayer and booksprout for the arc. All opinions are my own and were unsolicited.
I found this book to be a bit different than the others in this series in that the lady involved was more a part of the solution of locating the missing Sailor which just happens to be her brother. Elizabeth Etchings solicits the help of Nelson Brown who is a long time friend of the missing brother Chris Etchings(Skunk) and he brings with him Taylor Robinson who is also a Seal and adept in locating missing persons. This book pulled you into the story from page one and kept the pages turning to see what would happen next because the mystery got more and more interesting as the book progresses. Nelson is finally unable to deny the spark he feels when in the company of Elizabeth and it takes Taylor to throw it out there before Nelson finally admits he would like to see where the relationship would go after they find Skunk. Grab a copy of this book and get ready to enjoy this sexy mystery.
Nelson is a book that delivers on all the expectations of the affectionate readers of this series. It is, however, an easy to read and entertaining novel on its own. This time, two members of Mason's team are off to Mexico looking for an old friend, who has disappeared in mysterious circumstances. The friend's sister, unbeknown to them, follows their trail, complicating their mission. The story has lively characters, with captivating personalities. The dialogues are witty and engaging. Finally, the plot is punctuated with a few unexpected cameo scenes that enlighten the narration and give it a fresh touch. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Opinions and comments are solely my own
The past friendships, are at the start of this no katter the distance or time that has passed. Nelson is very world wise knows that the things you see are more likely to be very different from what you see. Elizabeth a ray of sunshine is shocked at the things she sees, battles to keep her way of life but with the help of Nelson accepts things are not what you see at face value. Facing a drug lord/king and his queen while trying to find Elizabeth 's missing brother, while also trying to solve a murder mystery while Elizabeth trying to face her world being turnt upside down, watching Nelson get things done and the support he gives see a love blossom and friendships grow. Kidnapping, showdowns this story keeps you hopping and guessing.
This is an exciting action packed suspense filled romance story. As we join the next book by The multi talent Dale Mayer .youll find action, suspense wonderful characters and a great story line.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author The story is excellent. The chemistry between Nelson and Elizabeth is off the charts.Tyler sees Nelson as being the next member of the keepers. I have loved each and every book in this series and I was definitely looking forward to reading another! I was NOT disappointed. This book was exciting and filled with suspense! Loved the characters interaction and loved the story line. In my opinion, this is the most intense book in the series and had me engrossed from the start. I did not want to stop reading, but on the other hand I did not want the book to end. Love the way characters from other books and series were brought into the story and helped out the main characters. I just cannot say enough good things about this book and series. Dale Mayer has me hooked!

Dale Mayer always write an amazing alpha hero and Nelson is not an exception, he's just so perfect for me, protective, reliable, smart, lethal and super hot, so yeah...what's not to love? Not just Nelson that keeps me turning the page, the story and all those twists make this book unputdownable, so many bad guys, so many possibilities, and so many mysteries that keep me on edge and I love all those sweet moments, love how love sneaked in between Nelson and Elizabeth, it's like they hit it from the get go, so effortless and easy, a perfect match from the beginning.
Great characters (although I wanted to shake Elizabeth for how naive she is most of the time) and an amazing suspense story, yes I love this book.
If you're looking for suspense romance read, this is the book for you.
Elizabeth involved Nelson in finding her missing Navy brother. Nelson and Skunk (Chris) were friends although they hadn't seen each other in a few years so he got approval to help for 4 days with Taylor as his backup. The guys go to Baja to search for the missing brother, only to find out Elizabeth has followed them and could them all in jeopardy if she doesn't let them do their job and hang in the background. They all run into several very unsavoury characters in their search for Chris causing extra danger they didn't see coming. Will they find Chris and will he be alive? Will Nelson end up with a "Keeper" in Elizabeth or will she be killed or kidnapped at the last minute?
When Elizabeth's brother goes missing, she asks Nelson, a Navy SEAL, for help. Elizabeth knows that her brother wouldn't desert the Navy and NCIS is no longer investigating. Nelson and Taylor plan to go to Mexico alone where her brother was last seen. Elizabeth is not going to be left behind and follows them. What Elizabeth doesn't realize is that, she puts herself in danger. I received a free copy of this book from the author through Booksprout. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This was a good suspenseful book with a twist at the end that I didn't expect. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Suspenseful from the start and full of tense action and danger, a few twists and turns building to a highly charged finally. Wonderful characters both good and bad surprisingly. Very edgy and fast moving and at times you aren't sure if the bad guys are all bad, so it keeps you guessing. I love getting stuck in to a story that is interesting and has lots going on but not manic and this definitely fit that, it took me away from real life and let me lose myself in what was going on in the story. Characters were easy to like and even feel a little bit sorry for some. Fantastic read and this series never gets stale, new characters joining the group bring fresh ideas and problems. Loved it.
Every girl should have a Nelson in her life, he is good looking, strong, intelligent, protective, sexy and very loyal. He meets Elizabeth, the sister of his friend, a fellow SEAL, only to find out that his friend has disappeared and Elisabeth is enlisting Nelsons help to find him and much to Nelson's annoyance Elizabeth who is a mechanical engineer insists on accompanying him to "help". This intriguing story moves on at a fast pace, Elizabeth finds a connection with the leader of the "bad guys" through their mutual love of music and piano playing, she manages to extract some useful information from him but does he have an ulterior motive ? Elizabeth's brother is being framed for the death of another Seal whose body they find in the dock, they still don't know if he is alive or dead but they are determined to find out what has happened to him and to clear his name. Dale Mayer has done it again, this book contains everything, excitement, intrigue, murder, kidnapping, oh, and not forgetting romance. This is a standalone novel but I would seriously suggest that you read the previous books in this series, you wont be disappointed.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nelson, book 21 in the seals of honour series by Dale Mayer. Nelson is asked for by name by a woman he barely knows but she needs help. Her brother is missing and Nelson was a friend of his. As they go back to the scene of the crime, things get ugly as the local king pin takes a shine to Elizabeth and his girlfriend doesn't like it. Things aren't what they seem as they continue the search for her brother and she gets kidnapped. Will Nelson and Taylor be able to save her and find the brother??????? Lots of breath holding and wondering what the King Pins game is. Loved the characters and the storyline and it's always a surprise to read such a great story.
Another book in a long series of hers, SEALs of Honor. This time feature Nelson and a cry for help from a SEAL’s sister, Elizabeth. She’s adamant that her brother was not AWOL, but in trouble instead. So then they start their journey through danger to find their HEA.
Although the pattern was more or less the same, there was always some ingenuity in each book. As others in the series, this book was full with action. Romance was there, but as a quick read, the action was more pronounce. And I actually like it better that way.
I was provided a complimentary copy by the author / publisher, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.
I was pulled in immediately and became totally immersed in all that was happening in this can't-put-down book, sitting on the edge of my seat during this gripping, fast-paced drama. I really liked SEALs Nelson and Taylor and their dynamic with the other characters especially Elizabeth Etchings whose brother "Skunk" has gone missing in Mexico. Ms. Mayer blew me away with "Nelson" and now I'm anxiously waiting for book 22 that will center around Taylor in her must-read SEALs of Honor series. I received an advance reader copy of this book from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This is book 21 in the SEAL’s of Honor series and it features Nelson and Elizabeth. Her brother is missing and he just happens to be an old friend of Nelsons. Elizabeth enlists Nelsons help but will not sit home and wait for news. She’s going to Mexico to look for her brother despite being told not to. Nelson and Taylor end up having to protect her AND look for her brother at the same time. I love that their attraction was gradual. It happen slowly throughout the story. Her naivety and stubbornness was quite irritating at times.
The action and adventure were fantastic. The story line and characters were awesome. I can’t wait for more!
