Sexy Little Sinner

Rate this book
It was wrong to stay together ... but we couldn’t stay apart.

I’ve been with my share of women, but none touched my heart and fired my senses the way she did. Her smile enticed me. Her caresses teased me. Her body aroused me.

And yet, it couldn’t last. There were too many years between us. A gap we couldn’t breach, and we broke it off. No. I broke it off. And I’ve regretted that decision ever since.

Now she’s in danger, and there’s no one else I trust to protect her. But the more time we spend together, the more I want her back. And all I know now is I have to keep her safe—and despite both of us knowing better, somehow, someway, she will be mine again.

We're back with the Blackwell-Lyon Security guys in Austin.

Pierce and Cayden have already found their happy ever afters - and now it's finally time for Pierce's little sister Kerrie and Cayden's twin brother Connor to end up together forever.
They've had a thing about a year ago, but Connor decided they had to stop. He thinks it wouldn't work. He's 14 years older than her and she's the little sis of his best friend! But of course Kerrie doesn't see it like that. She's been in love with Connor forever and she wants to be with him.

Enter Leo - he's the new partner in the company and he needs Kerrie for his first assignment. Going undercover at a bad guy's sex party!!!!

Connor is not liking that one bit! ☺

════════════════

Finally Kerrie and Connor. In the first two books we've seen them being in love with each other without being together. It was so sad! But now it's finally their time. Only Connor is still convinced he's not the right guy for Kerrie!

But he sooo is! Thinks Kerrie! And we think so too!

I'm not really a fan of huge age-gap romances. My limit is eight years tops, but I just have to know how their story will play out!

And it was very adorable and sexy and exciting and frustrating.

I loved it!
These three books were really good - a bit short - but really good. Can't wait to see what Leo will be up to in the 4th book!

SEXY LITTLE SINNER was a really exciting & adorable & sexy second-chance-love-story! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Connor - this one is MINE! ☺

SEXY LITTLE SINNER by J. Kenner is book Three in the Blackwell-Lyon Series. This is the story of Kerrie and Connor. I have read the previous books, but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so but we did have interactions from this couple in previous books. Kerrie and Connor for a short time went past their friendship and working relationship to a more inmate relationship. But Connor choice to break things off due mainly to their age difference. Now they are back to a working friendship but neither has stopped the inside feelings of more they have for each other. When they have to go undercover for work it may be just what they need to bring out the feelings that they can't fight. Enjoyed their story!

Sooooo......if you are like me and did not read the first two books in this series (don't ask me how that is possible) - don't worry - this can be read as a standalone!!

I won't say anything about the story because you pretty much get the gist from the blurb. However, I will let you know what I felt while reading this book.

First off, had I not seen this was a part of series, I would not have known. There are obviously secondary characters, so that would have been my only clue that there could be possible other books, but this story read extremely well as a standalone.

Sexy Little Sinner is a fast paced and short romance with a dash of suspense added in to keep the book from being all romance. If you have ever wanted to give J. Kenner's books a try, this is definitely one I would recommend to see what the excitement is all about.

J. Kenner delivers a packed story in small little package without hurting any of the details in the process. You can see where she could have easily expand upon things if she wanted, but what she did write was perfect to give the readers the notion of what was going on.

Now I must go back and read the other two because I feel like a failure fan for somehow not reading them earlier and also because I really need to see how the other characters came to be.

Conner still has feelings for Kerrie but thinks the 14 years difference between them is to much. And as the story unfolds, Conner’s crazy reasoning becomes clear. Will the fight he makes to uphold his decision finally becomes to much for both of them?
Kerrie agrees to be only his friend but then, one unexpected encounter between them, changes her feeling again and the friends zone seems impossible for Kerrie to hold on too. When a new case arises that they can join forces and act as a, couple undercover, Conner realizes then he really has to make his mind up about his true feelings for Kerrie.
I liked the male POV for a change, Conner had a crazy, misguided thought process going on. A pretty good story. The suspense we encountered with the case was thrilling and the love action was excellent, very hot, lots of tension. A short book but well worth a read. I highly recommend this book!

I love a second-chance romance. Add in the best-friend’s little sister along with it and I am in reader heaven!

And that’s exactly where I found myself reading Sexy Little Sinner. Through the other books in this delightful, fun, sexy, smart series, we’ve had glimpses of the relationship between Connor and Kerrie. Seen that there was still something simmering between them, even though Connor lived in Denialville for way to long.

I loved that Connor finally shed his wariness . . . though, the green-eyed jealousy monster definitely helped with his decision. He’d been in love with Kerrie for years, but didn’t feel worthy of her and her youth. And most definitely didn’t feel worthy of her love.

But Kerrie wasn’t having it any longer. She knew she couldn’t keep living with hiding her love for Connor. Hoping he’d come to his senses at last. And I cheered her on from the sidelines! I loved seeing her try to spread her wings, try to protect her heart, and try to move on.

And I absolutely loved when they finally got it together. And came together in the end. Seriously swoony. And I cannot wait until Leo’s story is told next! ~ Missy, 4.5 stars

Final Score - 4 Stars

I am a great fan of age-gap romances and if written well, well then - then it's a no brainier. However this one feels a bit short of epic greatness for me, especially with Conner's on going attitude about the hows/whys of "his" feelings. I felt like it overshadowed everything and I just couldn't get on board with him and Kerrie ending up together.

Now, don't get me wrong - this couple has amazing chemistry as they are The Couple. They simply DO belong together. It's just that, overall, Conner and his damn feelings/attitude ruin that and just put me off ever wanting them to have that HEA that everyone else in this series has had thus far. He's know it all, I'm making the right choice for us attitude - grated on my last nerve! Even his own brother couldn't sit by and let him make such an idiotic decision.

I love J. Kenner and her writing but this one was just bleh/alright for me. I felt no connection to either character - emotional or otherwise. Let's hope that I feel that spark come back to life with her next book in the series.

J. Kenner always brings the heat with her erotic-edged romances, but Sexy Little Sinner was one smoking hot book. Add in a little bit of suspense and danger and you have a recipe for a good time.

Connor and Kerrie’s May-December relationship was just one of the interesting parts of this love story. There were also two other tropes they encompassed: boss/employee, as well as best friend’s little sister. So there was a whole lot of goodness for Kenner to work with here. Right away it was clear how strong the connection was between Kerrie and Connor, whether you read this as a standalone or as a continuation in the series. And thanks to their established past history, things did move pretty fast between them. Not that I minded a bit. Read More

When it comes to love most believe that age shouldn't be a factor, but in Connor's case he wholeheartedly believes that it should be taken into consideration when it comes to Kerrie. She is fourteen years younger, and he thinks she would be giving up a lot to be with him, and he can't bring himself to let her settle for that. Not to mention she is kind of off limits since she also happens to be his best friends little sister.

He gave into his desire for her about a year ago, and they had a little fling, but as soon as feelings started to get involved he got nervous and put the brakes on it. Since then they have been circling around one another at work, constantly trying to keep there attraction under-wraps, and and trying their best to keep things all business. But the tension between them is about to hit an all time high, because a new undercover project has just been put into their hands, and it's going to require them to get down and dirty!

Sexy Little Sinner is an angst filled page-turner that will keep you dangling from the edge of your seat from fear and anticipation. These two not only find themselves fighting the sparks simmering between them, but also the danger lurking at every turn. Connor was determined to do right by Kerrie and prove to her that he wasn't the right man for her, so he kept denying her advances and hoping the right guy for her would come along. Which meant a lot of tension and torture between the pages of this one, these two darn near killed me with their "will they, won't they" antics. I really enjoyed this one it had lots of emotion and intrigue amongst it's pages, and of course lots of the good stuff (heat) too, it was a nice well blended tale!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

"Why don't we go up to the room, get dirty, and then get cleaned up?"
"Dirty, huh? Aren't you a sexy little sinner."
"Absolutely, and you know you like it."

Oh, how I loved this story! The chemistry. The tension. The banter. The heat! Off the charts!!!

Kerrie Blackwell has been in love with Connor since she was a teenager. And, for a brief time he was hers. Until he put on the brakes and dumped her for the most ridiculous reason ever. Now, they're on assignment together, posing at a couple at a kinky weekend party thrown by their target. She's going to take every advantage of this situation just to show him what he's been missing.

Connor Lyon is an idiot. She's perfect for him, and he pushed her away. Why? Their age gap. He's not going to saddle her with taking care of him in his old age. The fact that he can't stop wanting her is slowly killing him. Now, she's undercover with him at weekend kink-fest. How is he going to keep from crossing that line between mission and passion? When their mission puts her in the cross hairs of a dangerous criminal, will he and the team be able to get to her in time? He lost her once, he can't let it happen again.

This was a great addition to the Blackwell-Lyon Series! I wanted both hug and slap Connor. I felt so bad for both of them - Connor thinking he was doing the right thing and Kerrie resigning her to the fact that he won't ever let them happen. I loved these two!!

I freakin' loved Connor! He is so inside his head and Kerrie has the patience of a goddess. I on the other hand would have already slapped him across the head until he figured it all out. But he is adorable so all is forgiven ;).

We get a lot of the steamy romance, but you also will get a little bit of angst. Connor and Kerrie make quite the team in a mission that has you holding your breath. The story line will draw you out of any book funk!

The characters that we have grown to love are all there with you in the story. I am growing very fond of the Black-Lyons security team. The woman are fierce and the men will have you melting! Oh and yeah since they work in security, you get the yumminess of their alpha protective side too! *Swoons*

Sexy Little Sinner was a fun and sexy read! J. Kenner knows how to bring the heat to her books!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review, and I can honestly say I really enjoyed it. It was a fun, easy read with the right amount of suspense, intrigue and passion.

The story is told from Connor’s perspective, a man who is totally struggling to keep away from his ex girlfriend. After a drunken moment of passion, avoiding Kerrie Blackwell becomes even more difficult. Kerrie ignites sparks within him, sparks that Connor very much doesn’t believe should be explored anymore.

You learn of Connor’s past and how he views the fifteen year age gap between Kerrie and himself. He worries about how his health with affect her life, and therefore battles with the idea of sacrificing their happiness in order for her to find a more youthful version of love. But if anyone cares about her, it’s him.

The story has the mystery and suspense of an undercover mission, the passion of forbidden love but also the sweetness of someone willing to do everything for the person they love. The plot is predictable in places, but it does not take anything away from the overall enjoyment of the plot.

It was a quick and easy read that kept my attention and was the perfect February weekend read.

Sensual and addictive.

An age-gap romance works well for me, especially in this case because this novella adds action, deception and true feelings to the mix.

The couple works together at a security company. Even though they broke up a year ago, the chemistry is a wild, untamed thing between them. Yay! :-D

Entirely from Connor's POV, it's palpable how strong his belief is that he's protecting her by staying away due to his age and the repercussions that could cause in her future. He fears for her happiness and to be the source of her grief.

I loved the suspense plot as they go undercover for the firm. It's a perfect excuse for some interesting spying work in a very unsual and provocative environment. However, it is also an opportunity for them to explore their scorching-hot connection with some pretty good steamy scenes. And feelings begin pouring out of their restriction zone.

It's a fun, sexy and smart story with a man who finally learns to let go of fear and embrace the chance at love. I also adore the author's sleek style. I think it's my favourite couple so far in this series. Keep it on!

5 Star Review Sexy Little Sinner (Blackwell-Lyon #3) by J Kenner

This was a fast quick novella that had me engaged from the start to the finish; in fact I would have loved the story to be longer. I really loved the characters of Connor and Kerrie and the secondary characters are just as entertaining.

Connor and Kerrie work together and were previously involved, until Connor put the brakes on. He firmly believes that his being nearly 15 years older than Kerrie he should keep away.

Age is but a number unless you are Connor. Despite repeated attempts by Kerrie to convince him otherwise he is determined to do the right thing.

As things spice up and danger rears it’s head, neither of them can deny the sizzling chemistry that sparks between them.

Having been shaped by his memories of the past, Connor has to overcome his fears and trust in their love him and that they can have a bright future together. The question is will he?

I cannot wait for the next instalment in this series.

I am not sure what to really think of this. It didn't really work for me, but I can't really put my finger on what bothered me. The story starts about 12 months after the main couple have broken up - and they spent 12 months in a relationship before that. So it kind of felt weird to be jumping in at that point. The H was the one who broke things off, only because he felt he was too old for her. She didn't agree but accepted it, and they stayed friends and work colleagues. I think this is one thing that just didn't sit right with me - if it was an all-consuming love, I couldn't see them being around each other all the time and being OK with not being together. At one point the H is even encouraging her to see someone else.

When they do get together, the H getting over his previous objections seemed a bit too easy considering how set he was in his opinion for the previous year. It was a quick and easy read, just not memorable for me.

Sexy Litte Sinner is a quick fun read but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t pack a mighty punch because this book will captivate you and I’m sure like me you won’t want to put it down. Fast paced and filled with characters you will fall in love with so what else can I say about this brilliant read well......
Age is just a number well that’s what I believe and that’s what Kerrie believes but to Connor it’s a whole different ballgame he sees it as him being 15 years older means he can’t give Kerrie the life she deserves and add in she is his best friend little sister and she works with him means she should definitely be off limits to him .......... but when circumstances throws them together life is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
I loved the story, I loved the characters and I loved all the feels I got from this book. Great read and I’m looking forward to where Ms Kenner takes us next.

I am truly convinced that J. Kenner can NOT write a bad book!

This book is from Connor's POV & boy do we learn a lot more! We learn his past and the reason for him sacrificing Kerrie. This book breaks my heart though because I had high hopes and this threw me for a loop! Not to mention the worry about their 15 year age gap, where he believes that she should find herself a younger man that will give her more years. But Kerrie is the love of his life, and he really struggles with going or staying.

Some suspense and mystery, lot's of wanting to smack Connor because he keeps thinking he knows whats right, as in not involving the party to maybe give her the choice?! *shaking head*

I am looking forward to another book of the Blackwell-Lyon series!
I give this HIGH 5 & HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

4 1/2 stars. Just as the title suggests, this is quite the sexy little story. JK does her thing in giving us a totally sexy swoon-worthy hero in Connor, and a great story line too! Kerrie is fearless and I really like her. Connor is almost 15 years older than Kerrie, they work together and she is his also best friend's sister. Say no more, right? For all these reasons and some others due to his upbringing, he is torturing himself and Kerrie by not allowing them to be together. They have chemistry for days and are so good together, but he will not go past the friend zone, not again. He feels like their age difference is just too much! They spent almost a year together and then he broke it off. Well, except for that one time things got a bit heated in his brother's laundry room. And that just complicates everything. A well written fast paced story, with an intense case they work on and a great buildup to an HEA all make this a very enjoyable read.

Sexy Little Sinner
J. Kenner
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Will there ever be a story, a series a character that isn’t perfect. Her writing is amazing, but it is without a doubt her characters that make everything. Sexy Little Sinner, like the stories in this series is fun, flirty, so, so sexy, and topped off with heart stopping ad Guy action, there is never a dull case for the Blackwell – Lyon company.

I adored Kerrie, her quick wit and take no prisoners attitude to getting what she wants, and Connor, I felt for him. Actions have consequences, and he is faced with the ultimate decision. A case working together will it a lot into perspective, but the fear of losing what he really wants, wakes Connor up to the realisation of fight for what you want. His military and family history have him thinking one Thing, but letting the love of his life go…. Not on his watch.

This was an enjoyable read. I really liked Kerrie, she didn’t play games and was willing to give Connor what he thought he wanted, which was to move on. The other thing that I liked was that even though Kerrie was the younger sister of one of Connor’s partners, it wasn’t the thought of what her brother would do or think of them being together, especially since they had a previous relationship that Connor ended because of their age difference. The premise of their working together in the environment that they did was not typical. All in all, this was an easy read and a great addition to the Blackwell-Lyon series.

This little world gets better and better. This has been my top fav out of the 3 book series. Its a forbidden love story. Its told on his POV, which I love!

He thinks he's too old for her and just will end up being a burden to her. He fights what he feels and wants, believing he's doing the right thing by pushing her away! He struggles with what he feels, until he cant hold back.

I loved Kerrie. Love her personality. she's young but she clearly knows what she wants and what she feels.

Its a cute treat. I enjoyed their story and hope I get more of the Blackwell-Lyon company world. J Kenner always writes the best story to enjoy and get lost in.

This title says it all... sexy indeed! Connor doesn't want to want Kerrie. He wants her to experience life and not be stuck with him, taking care of him later in life. He thinks he’s doing something good for her, even if he is jealous and wants her more than anything. The chemistry between them is palpable. It felt realistic and it was intense! They couldn’t help the draw they had. I was completely invested in their story and the outcome it would have. They made a dynamic duo both personally and professionally. I liked the easiness between them. This was a fast read for me because I couldn’t put it down! If you like a sexy, fun read then be sure to grab this one!

Oh Connor, you foolish man. He believes that being 14 years older than Kerrie means they can’t be together. Now, as I read the story, I understood where this crazy viewpoint came from but yet, the heart wants, what the heart wants. Kerrie abides by his decision to be friends but then one encounter pushes them back out of the friend zone. When a new case has them acting like a couple, will Connor be able to keep denying what he truly feels? I love that this is told from Connor’s point-of-view which tells me, men have relationship issues just like woman and boy, can they be misguided at times. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I was so excited for this book. We were given hints of the relationship between Kerrie and Connor in the previous books and their story did not disappoint. This book was sexy, it was sweet and it had a little bit of drama.

There is no deny the chemistry between Kerrie and Connor, well, unless you are Connor and think you know what is best for someone else. Someone needed to smack some sense into that man, he kept denying what was right in front of him, even though he wanted the girl more than anything.

I love the Blackwell-Lyon men and I can’t wait until the next book comes out to get more of these men and their friends.

Age is just a number. Well isn't that what we tell ourselves all the time? In his case not only does he say it but he lets it govern who he will love. After watching the age difference become an obstacle (real and assumed) he stands firm on the decision to stay away. She doesn't care, she knows he's the one but she isn't going to push. But when things change at work and a case drops in their laps he may have to revisit his stand. This awesome clip is fun and sexy and just plain good reading. Ms Kenner packs a wallop in her pages and doesn't pull any punches. Her books are fun, sexy and passionate while giving you a story that rocks you and socks you and puts you in a happy place. Loved it.

This is another great book from an author that has already brought so many others. Sexy Little Sinner is another novella in the Blackwell-Lyon series and we finally Connor gets his turn. These characters were amazing and kudos to Kerrie for being so strong during Connor’s duh moments. They say that love makes the heart grow fonder but will they realize it before it’s to late? Especially now that they are in danger?

In true J. Kenner fashion, once you start this book you will not be able to put it down. Fast paced and filled with characters you instantly fall in love with, this book was awesome. For Connor, going undercover should be an easy task, but when the one person he needs to keep at an arms length is the one undercover with him the lines get blurred. Can Kerrie and Connor work together and bring down the bad guys or will being so close together put their lives as well as their hearts in jeopardy? Five stars are not enough and I cannot wait to read more in this series!!

This book was a fun quick read. Conner rubbed me the wrong way but its just because Kerrie kept putting herself out there and he wanted her but he kept rejecting her. And you could tell everytime it broke her a little more. When they go under cover together you know good things will come but once again he's a a*s. Im so glad in the end she leaves and he finally realizes what he is missing thanks to his brother.
