Maddox has been working and waiting long and hard to finally get patched in with the Savage Kings. His history is an additional incentive but after “helping” War’s sister during a hurricane, things get pretty sticky for him. My heart has been set on Maddox from the beginning. He’s such a good guy and I was curious to find out what his story was. After the prologue I was even more excited to learn how his tale was going to end and I was not disappointed.
While Audrey was, initially, not my personal favorite heroine, she is one that several readers are going to love. And I have to admit, as this author gave me a bit of a wakeup call about heroines who are free to live life their own way without double standards, I had to agree. My feelings immediately switched regarding the decisions she had made in the past.
Maddox stayed true to the hero I had hoped him to be. His dedication is to the MC and then switched to Audrey. I loved that the choices he made, while not always the easiest, showed him to be a real hero. My heart hurt for him when he has to pay the ultimate price for some of those decisions. I wanted him to have his happy ever after, in every aspect of his life.
This is a fast paced read with a bit of gritty MC life, plenty of steam, and more of the deliciousness that is the Savage Kings. I’m not sure how many more books are planned for this series, but I’m already mourning the loss of them when they end. However, until that time, we have a look at Dalton coming up in the Wanted Anthology and I can’t wait to see what is in store for him.

“No,” I say, cutting her off. “You did what Todd thought was best for him, not me! He’s always hated my guts and I guess now I know why. He made me think I wasn’t ever good enough for him because I’m nothing but a reminder of another man you were with before him! I’ve never been his son and I never will be!”
The anger I’ve made myself keep bottled up inside me for years chooses that moment to burst free. No, it’s more than anger, it’s pure rage. Fucking Todd is about to get a shitload of payback by way of my fists pounding into his face.
“Do I need to go through the formalities of warning you not to touch my little sister while you’re watching out for her?”
“No, sir, absolutely not,” I respond, squeezing my eyes shut as I recall looking at and touching every amazing inch of her, inside and out.
“Because you know what would happen if you step a toe out of line, don’t you?” he threatens.
“I do,” I agree.
“The beating you would get after I take your cut would make Holden’s beatdown look like a cat fight,” War elaborates, reminding me of the day every one of the Savage Kings got to pound their fists into the prospect who turned out to be a rat.

Maddox was the fifth book in the Savage Kings MC series by the authors Lane Hart and DB West.
Maddox and Audrey’s introduction was provided in book four. Audrey was War’s sister who was away at college and completely sheltered from the MC. Maddox was the Savage Kings prospect that was sent to ensure her safety during the impending hurricane. After the epilogue - which was great btw - book five began near the end of War and filled in details that coincided with War’s story. It then took us through the expected conflicts of betraying a brother by secretly falling for his sister.
In the end it was a fast and enjoyable read. I wanted a little more from Audrey at times but overall it fit with the series while progressing the MC conflict that was the common thread throughout the series. More to come in Dalton’s book next.

After being introduced to Maddox in War's book I have been curious about his story and his story was intriguing to say the least. Maddox discovers a shocking truth that he never knew, which leads him on a path right to the Savage King's MC. All he wants is to become part of the MC, a brotherhood, a family which is something he never really had. Audrey is the tantalizing temptress that definitely throws a kink in Maddox plan especially when he finds out whose sister she is, can we say "Oh Shit!" I was so consumed by this story that I had it read in less than 24 hours, which left me wanting so much more! Lane is a master at giving us a story that grips us, captivates us, consumes us and has us begging for more, more, more! I highly recommend not only this book but the whole series!

I have said it before, and will say it again I love these Savage Kings and the women who manage to somewhat tame them! Maddox is the latest member to find his other half, but unlike the others he is still just a prospect on the verge of getting into the club fully when he is sent to safeguard his mentor, War's, little sister during a hurricane. What he encounters when he finds Audrey is another story entirely. Audrey has no idea of her brother's other life, but she knows the last thing she is doing is leaving her home during this crazy storm and will do whatever it takes to convince Maddox to stay even if she doesn't tell him who she really is at first. Mistaken identities and dueling loyalties abound in this one. Maddox thinks he will be able to walk away from Audrey and go on with life but when you find that one true person for you it isn't that easy and he finds he is willing to do anything to be worthy of Aubrey. Aubrey finds herself in a world she didn't know her brother was a part of, but with Maddox by her side it's where they both can thrive once all the secrets come out. These men and their women pull me in from the first page until the last and sticking are ok and for all the twists and turns they encounter along the way. Maddox is a prospect hoping to become a full member. He is an innocent in so many ways. His sponsor is War who has a sister, Audrey. She is ignorant about the MC but not about life. As a favor to War, Maddox attempts to help out Audrey which turns into a three day love fest.
Maddox matures, shows ethical boundaries and a background that pleases the core members. This is a nice change from the other books in that the other members were hardened members and Maddox has yet to reach that cynical view.

WOW this series just gets better and better with every new book , loved this one about Maddox a prospect for the SAVAGE KINGS and Audrey Wars sister , War sends Maddox to look after his sister during a hurricane , he knows in trouble when he meets the sassy , sexy firecracker ,and with their instant chemistry they end up having some fun while the hurricane blows over , but will Maddox still be standing when the truth comes out or will War kill him and will love make him walk away from the MC , a brilliant read with a great storyline and great character's(old and new) with drama , suspense and so much more , can't wait for the next books to come out , this is a definite must read and deserves more than 5*s

Omg I’m seriously in love with these two characters Maddox and Audrey they just so perfect together. Maddox book is a little different then the last few books from the series, but still in a very good way. To me Maddox is still growing up, learning everyday about where his place is in the MC and I really like that. Your getting a glimpse of the life of a prospect who dying to get patch in and he will do whatever it takes to get it done. Then we meet War sister Audrey, and let me tell you I was a surprised at some of her confessions lol especially how War has her so separated from the club and all protected.... If War only knew, he would have a heart attack lol 😂. I can’t wait to read the next couple of books in the series, so if you haven’t read any start from the beginning so you can know each character is so worth to read!!

It really doesn't matter what I'm doing or will be doing because each and every time a new book from these two arrive my kindle I will leave everything behind and start to devour it. It's stronger than me. I can't. I won't.
And to top it all it's another MC book from a series that I'm passionate about. I'm hooked, line and sinner...
Lane Hart has been a constant in my reading life and her books are to die for. To top it all, she started to write MC books, my favorite genre of all times, with D.B. West and you can guess... Both have a writing that can evolve you in a web of troubles, lies and so much passion... So much more...
Maddox is their latest release and it's the fifth book from the Savage Kings MC series. A series that you must read despite the fact that all books are standalones, reading this series in order will help you contextualize the characters as well as their life's and connections... Trust me...
This new book explores the lifes of Maddox and Audrey.
Maddox had a normal childhood. He was raised by his parents, nothing unusual in there until he sees a name in his birth certificate. After 15 years he finds out that his father isn't who he thought it is and the need to know more overpowered everything. Associated with this, it came the Savage Kings MC and the lifestyle. He knew that he needed to be apart of that. He needed to become an MC brother so he devoted his time to achieve that. But then someone caught his attention as well but there's a slight problem...
Audrey lost her parents on an accident and since that day she has been living with her big brother. She idolizes him and helped him raise his son. But there is a thing, she doesn't know that her brother is associated to an MC.
When a beautiful man is sent to protect her during an hurricane...
So freaking good, so amazing, so intense. How can I stick to just one word to describe this book?? I can't so...
Superb plot, super engaging and intense. Each chapter was even more insane than the last.
It's amazing what our determination can do to us. It's amazing what a dream can rule our lifes but a nightmare can pull it down.
No matter what life throws at you because when you have to succeed you'll fight for it.
This story gave us love, loyalty, family, dreams, desires as well as fears, betrayal, crime and so much more.
Guys...hot stuff alert... Oh boy... Hot hot hot
This series is getting better and better and I'm eager to read the next one... Oh boy... I want more.

Maddox is another great book in the Savage Kings series and even though it stands alone, I recommend reading the previous books so that you understand all the characters in this series because there are a lot of them! Maddox is a prospect for the club and has a bit of a secret. His biological father was one of the club's founders and the late uncle of Chase and Torin Fury. He came to the club after graduating high school to see what it was about and maybe learn a bit about his late father but kept this information to himself. War has been his sponsor since the beginning so when War asks Maddox to get his little sister to safety during a hurricane, he jumps to it. Audrey is a college student at an all girls school with a very overprotective older brother. She may be small is stature but she is mighty in personality. She also has a few phobias and one of them is storms. She plans to stay holed up in her apartment no matter what this cute stranger says. These two are adorable together! I know that sounds crazy since this is a MC book but they are. They are young and falling in love no matter that Maddox knows War will kill him for messing around with his sister. It's written like all the rest of the series in dual POV, plenty of steam and some laughs. I recommend this series completely.

Maddox by Lane Hart and D.B. West a five-star read that will make you roar. This is the fifth novel in the Savage Kings series, but they can be read as stand-alone, but you will only want to go back and read them all so just start from the beginning if you like a great series. This one was so much deeper that the previous novels, I don’t know if it was the fact that we know everyone so much better or just Maddox himself, but I adored this one so much, it made me laugh and it made me cry. If Reece and his story are half as good as this, I think it may just be one of the best reads of next year. I think I enjoyed this one so much as we get to see Maddox grow into himself and becoming a man his old man would be proud of even if he takes the long road to get there, that being said if you were on the back of a beautiful bike I’m sure you would take the long road as well.

I am loving this series and it keeps getting better every time one of these deliciously hot bikers gets their story. Maddox is special he has ties to the MC, but is keeping it on the DL for now. When his sponsor War asks him to do a favor and keep his sister safe how hard could that be? Audrey is a fire cracker, she’s smart, sexy and sassy and Maddox is in a whole heap of trouble when he sees her. These two are explosive together and she’s off limits, but the pull to be together is stronger than anything else. When the truth comes out, will Maddox still be standing or will War kill him? I love how Lane and D.B have all the guys wrapped into everyone’s story, so we get updates and know what’s been going on in their lives. I can’t wait for Dalton’s story next! This is a feel good MC Romance. The storyline is well-written, smooth flowing, has a touch of violence, plenty of attraction and chemistry and wonderful characters. The backstory to Maddox, the H is revealed, his motivations and character, and his developing love for the h, Audrey. Audrey is a spitfire, sassy, sexy, and goes after what she wants, but also has a phobia that plays a part in this story. While this is book 5 of the series it can be read as a standalone. I read it in one sitting and enjoyed it.

Book five of the Savage Kings MC series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone, told in dual POV with HEA. Each book is about a different member of the Savage Kings MC. I loved Maddox's story! He is a rare man to have avoided the temptation of the women in the clubhouse. Maddox has been prospecting with the MC and is very close to patching in, something he has wanted for a long time and it is what he feels he was born to do. He meets Audrey when doing his sponsor Warren, a favor. I loved their chemistry! She looked to him when she needed help, and he was her fierce protector! Super sweet epilogue!!

OMG, I just finished this book and was blown away!! This one has Audrey, Wars sister and the prospect Maddox. The first time Maddox meets Audrey he is tasked with protecting from a hurricane. However, when they meet sparks fly and they cannot keep their hands off each other. Even though Maddox knows that War will most likely end him for it. This book has lots of steamy scenes, suspense and some family drama. If you like books about MC's, you can't go wrong with this one. Best of all, it can be read as a stand alone.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I'm so happy to read Maddox and Audrey's story. Maddox is a prospect for the MC. He was asked by his sponsor to go take care of his sister Audrey during a hurricane. What he didn't count on was Audrey not knowing her brother was part of an MC. She is also not leaving her apartment hurricane or not. So Maddox has to stay with her and take care of her in more ways then you can imagine.

Audrey hates storms since loosing her parents but will she believe Maddox & what secrets has War been keeping will Maddox confess his secrets.

Another enjoyable story in this series. Maddox has worked hard and done whatever was asked of him to earn a spot in the club. His unexpected feelings for Audrey almost cost him everything he has worked for.

I have been eager to read this book ever since I was introduced to Maddox in War's book. Just like the previous books Lane Hart does not dissapoint. The book is full of savage kings, action and love.

I loved Maddox and could just imagine how he felt over War and Audrey.

I finally got to follow the romance that I knew was going to happen between Maddox and Audrey that was introduced in the book, War. Sometimes when you know something is "forbidden" it just makes the attraction stronger. Can Maddox and Audrey survive the "War" they both know will come once their relationship is found out? What happens when he finds out about his legacy and will he choose the Savage Kings over love if he can only pick one? This book will keep you on the edge of your seat to see if these two will get their HEA. As usual, great writing and wonderful characters. This was a quick and satisfying read.

Few parts in this story brought tears to my eyes. Dealing with Mike. Maddox meeting Audrey. Maddox walking away from the Club for love. Just to mention a few. Oh....sigh. My heart breaking. I love the continuation of this cast of characters. I just had the privilege of reading Dalton and King’s Road so this tie in rocks. Lane Hart puts so much heart and presence in her characters and stories.

I've loved both Maddox and Audrey and their chemistry is fantastic. This romance also has a lot of heart and emotion. We really get to know Maddox and Audrey individually. Maddox has just the right amount of grit and Audrey was a lot of spirit. Engrossing journey for everyone. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

I don't mind dark books. This was one of them. Not as dark as some I've read but still...
Max and Audrey, a woman he rescues, quickly form a hot relationship. Her secrets has him running. Will he come back to save her?
I enjoyed the conflict in this book. The author wasn't shy about having her characters in danger. This book is proof it's good to take risks.

Wow!!!! I fell into this book and could not put it down until I was done. I loved Maddox and Audrey together. I was a little surprised at some of her confessions though lol but they were great for each other. Maddox's story was fantastic, as usual, and I can't wait for more.
