I understand she is only planning one more story in this series, I am hoping she will change her mind.
This was okay and yes I’m in the minority here I know. Being honest I’ve not been blown away by this series. Well not until the previous book, Charlie’s. It started so well raising my expectations for the rest.
Anyway this one was okay so with fingers firmly crossed I’m moving on to Ace and Harper’s.
Ace and Harper - 3*
This one was better than the previous one but still not as good as Charlie’s. I am kind of addicted to this series even though if I’m being totally honest it’s not brilliant
Fin and June - 3.5*
This one was interesting and moved the whole Dragon’s Gap story forward. I’m now looking forward to the next one.
The story was good but the grammer, punctuation and word usage was abysmal. There were several words used that made no sense until you read the sentence a couple of times. For example the word "vacancy" was used when "vagrancy" should have been used. There were many such examples of this. Also, there were sentences that were chopped into several separate parts. There were alot of question marks used were it should have been periods, commas or exclamation marks. It made for a distracting and frustrating read. If it weren't for the story being interesting I would have put it down after the first chapter.
It hasn't been since I started reading this series and already on my third reading of it. While the editing could have been better it is still a compelling series. The characters are likeable. Who doesn't like the idea of a society geared to help the helpless and who doesn't love the idea that a true love can exist regardless of ones past or species. I know I do. Who wouldn't love badass women and the strong men who love them. I do. This series is one that has all this and more. Have a read!
Great series, sometimes hard to read as much feels like you are reading a newspaper article rather than a book. With CHARACTER P.O.V but is still such great stories that are addictive you ignore many grammatical errors and discombobulated writing. If you can get past all that. You will enjoy the stories and characters themselves

There are seven Kingsley brothers. Four by birth and three by adoption. The friends that the women have made that have become family too. There are other characters in Dragon’s Gap we will hear from too

I hadn’t planned on reading anymore by this author. Unfortunately, I found I’d already bought the entire series. The problems that exist in the first books are present in these. There is not one page that does not have a problem. There is missing punctuation creating run-on sentences, incorrect punctuation, missing words, words missing letters, incorrect word choices on every. Single. Page.
The Dragon Gap stories have the potential to be amazing. Instead it feels like I’ve wasted money on books that are nowhere ready to be published and sold. I strongly suggest the author remove this series from all booksellers and hire someone to proofread each book. Had this been done in the first place, I would have gladly paid the price to add this series to my print library. Save your money for books that have been properly edited and proofread.
Very enjoyable continuation of the Dragon's Gap series
A previously unrecognized evil has been afoot. The Dragons and their shadows are finally beginning to connect some dots, coming to understand that there is an enemy behind the scenes that they need to identify and rout out.
Attempts have been made against Storm, Charlie, Harper, June... efforts to claim their adopted and loved children... to undermine dragon rule, to undermine the intentions of the Moon Goddess, Sun Goddess, the Elementals, the Dragon Lord, the High Queen and High King of the Faeries, etc.. stuff is afoot, and some of it goes WAY back...
This set in the series sets more of the chess pieces in place and establishes more bonds between Dragon royalty and shifters (of all kinds).
These stories are sweet but the editing in these books is not only appalling, It's none existant. The writer doesn't understand the difference between pass and past. It comes up frequently too, and it makes me want to launch the kindle at the wall. They also don't believe any speech between characters needs any sort of grammar to denote tone, other than the occasional, bizzarly placed question mark. It's infuriating. However the story is really fun, even though it's absolutely being dragged out for no real reason. Still, free on KU, so I might as well go with it.
The saga is good and well worth struggling past the awful grammar and bad punctuation. The wrong use of the word too instead of to, pass instead of past, frequent misuse of question marks and full stops in the middle of sentences and so on tend to disrupt the flow of reading. However, the storyline is lovely and the characters are so likeable that it’s worth persevering. I find it difficult to remember that the story is set in modern times with the speech pattern and way of life of the dragons, but I love the books and will continue to read more.
I read the first three in the series and enjoyed them despite the errors and then orderd books 4-6 which I have now finished. Again I enjoyed the stories but the lack of editing, spelling mistakes and punctuation is now getting on my nerves. I know it sounds petty but it is spoiling the books somewhat. So I am not ordering any more for a while even though I want to see it through to the end. I have chosen another book to start and maybe after 3 or 4 different books I will feel ready to go back to these.
I hate giving bad ratings to anyone that's talented enuf to put their creative ideas to own and paper. I really did enjoy the story line in this series. However, the punctuation and sentence structure were so far off base it had me cringing in agony trying to decipher the sentences This author has the potential to put out great books. A better editor, tho, is a must. I spent my time highlighting the errors in books 4 and 5. If the author would like to see the mostly edited copy, I'd be happy to share.
My heart is lost to Dragon's Gap. This series is gonna break your heart when it's over. The friends you make, the adventures that you get wrapped up in - so wonderfully "put down on paper" (grammar Nazis/English perfectionists need not apply) if you've got a good imagination you well be able to envision the story that you've steeped yourself in! Thank you for your time, talent and THE STORIES!!
I love the storyline and characters. World building is only so so. Punctuation and sentence structure is horrible, beyond horrible. It continually drags me out of a fun read as I try to figure out what a sentence actually means with misplaced or missing punctuation. Author, please find someone to read and edit your books. I do like the story as I've read this far and plan to continue. 😁
These Dragon’s Gap books just keep getting better! Great characters, fun stories and a continuity which allows us to be part of the family doings of the Dragon Rulers and people of Dragon’s Gap. I was just thinking that the fun, the diversity of characters and stories that drag you straight to the next in the series reminds me of the wonderful Connie Suttle Blood series. I just can’t get enough.
Dragon’s Gap is the city of dragons and has been declared a refuge of all shifters, Fae, humans and other beings, but who have been persecuted. Many of these refugees find not only safety but new relationships within the town , including their soul mates. The stories contain humour, magic and there is lots of action. The only flaw is that the premise of each story seems to be the same, the characters are different but each tale is predictable.
Romance abounds as noble Dragons seek their Shadows. Nothing is easy as they battle warmongers and people who do not want them to exist. I like the action, humor, and romance. The strong, interesting characters and detailed set up of the emotions they feel, keep me involved in the plot, making this one of my favorite series. I look forward to the next book.
Ash & Olinder, Johner & Frankie, Ace & Harper, Fin & June
Bondings and their circumstances. Olinder being a Unicorn princess, helps bring the unwanted half unicorns to Dragons Gap. Harper deals with the faeries and poison. June goes on retrieval and Fin rescues her and twin pixie/faerie hatchlings. Betrayal is trying to undermine the dragons authority.
These books flow along keeping you interested and on edge. I love this whole concept of all shifters, fairies, pixies, dragons and other living together and thriving! And as I am not very good at writing reviews I will go on to the next set quickly! How's that for a great excuse to hurry up and go! Lol
This book is hard to read due to punctuation mistakes, misspelled words, and wrong tenses used, amongst other mistakes. Ms. Lacee needs to hire an English teacher to proofread her works before she publishes her hard work. The stories were entertaining when I finally understood what was meant to be told.
I have read these books several times. I love all the characters. I love all the different shifters from the Dragon Lord to the unicorns to varies and beyond. I love how each couple meet and how they all become one big family. They all come together to vanquish the enemies as they come into Dragons Gap.
I just discovered L.M. Lacee's Dragon's Gap series. I had never read this author before, but loved it. The stories are well written and very enjoyable. I really enjoyed the paranormal stories that were not full of step by step sexual exploits, but still full of love and romance.
Having just finished 1-3, & 4-5, I have really enjoyed these characters. The kind, compassionate, strong personalities of all these varieties of peoples are so captivating. The writing still strikes me as somewhat elementary, and definitely would benefit from proofers.
I'm an ex-proofreader for several major authors, so bad writing & editing makes my teeth ache and will usually cause me to rage quit a book ( sometimes with fire for very bad ones). However, the STORY in these are enjoyable enough that I am still reading 7 books/stories in and, surprisingly, looking forward to the last set.
I love the series and enjoyed reading the extra novella that came in the collection. I can't wait to read more. The author is building a wonderful world, and each story just keeps adding more. Each is a "stand a lone story," but you need to read them in order. They build on each other and if you don't you will get lost. There are a lot of reoccurring characters.
Great storyline! I enjoyed the characters and their quirks. The grammer has some issues (periods instead if commas, causing incomplete sentences), but the creativity got me through it. I almost wonder if the editing program errored? Either way, the storyline is there, the characters are charming, and I'll read it again!
Dragon’s Gap, full of intrigue, mystery, drama and love. Love how we still see the regular characters and are introduced to new ones. The storyline’s are very interesting and fresh every-time. Can’t wait to read the next books in this series.
Loved these stories. Each of these main female characters are kickass and sassy. I love the family atmosphere in these stories. The intrigue and thickening plot is attention grabbing. Can't wait to read the next one.
Enjoyable stories, I am loving Dragon Gap and each new Shadow and Dragon pairing. I just wish the grammar and sentence structure were corrected. Definitely a better proof reader is needed.
I love the stories and all the characters in these books, but the punctuation is dreadful and the spelling of some words is consistently incorrect, making it confusing to read.
This is my second box set to read in this series what a joy to see when an author out d I es themselves from the first one I never laughed so hard like I have with this series, I even reread some chapters L.M.Lacee you are amazing
