Duke was the third book in the Black Hornet MC series by Savannah Rylan. Although the series was a spinoff from Rylan’s Dead Souls MC series, the series could be read as a stand-alone; however, the series itself should be read in order.

Duke and Eden were high school sweethearts the entire four years until Eden ghosted him after graduation and he never saw or heard from her again. Until now, eleven years later, when his daughter showed up on his doorstep.

Duke began exactly where book two left off. The MC conflict that began in book one was continuing as the main thread throughout Duke as well. Rylan also introduced Eden and gave us the backstory between Duke and Eden and brought us into the present. Rylan also threw in a twist or two which set the stage for the next book, Colt.

I purchased the box set of the entire six book series and am reading them back to back and I’m glad I did. Although I liked the storyline for Duke, the book felt unfinished. It was more of a bridge or a chapter in a much larger book. A book with a suspenseful plot that I’m very hooked on and interested in! Now I’m diving right into book four, Colt, to see how this plays out...

Savannah Rylan takes us on a great escape with her rough and tough men with moral and the strong women that loves them. And this is no exception. But the story about Duke is slso a beautiful second chance romance that gives both Duke and Colt a suprise of a lifetime.

I can hardly wait for the next book, about Colt.

I this book 3 in the MC series. This story is a great second chance love story. Duke, who is a member of the Black Hornets. In high school he was in love with Eden. They had dated through most of high school and were each other’s firsts loves. After graduation Duke never sees or hears from Eden again. He is heart broken and devastated.

Eden is a restaurant manager, she worked her way up through the restaurant throughout the years. Duke has written Eden letters throughout the years. But, Eden has never written him back. She’s kept the letters, but never wrote back.

Eden has a daughter, Sierra, who is 11. Sierra wants to know who her father is, she wants to know him. However, Eden is very protective of Sierra and doesn’t want her to know. Eden was pregnant at their high school graduation. Sierra has been snooping for clues for her father and found the letters. One morning Sierra leaves and gets a Uber Ride to the last address she had on Duke. Sierra makes it to Duke’s place and of course her sassy attitude matches his.

Eden takes Sierra home after realizing where she had gone. Eden knows she needs to tell Duke the truth but she can’t seem to find the words.

When Eden goes back to confront Duke about their past, she runs into another motorcyclist—Colt, also her brother. She can’t believe he found her. Colt and Eden are arguing in a parking lot when Duke comes upon them. Eden knows she will have to explain Colt to Duke also, as Colt has kept his family a secret from Duke and the other MC members.

Eden and Duke make up for lost time when they are finally alone. However, Eden is followed and threatened. Eden contacts Duke and they have her go to a safe house. The MC club can’t protect everyone. However, they try to.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Black Hornets MC series. In this book, the Black Hornets are still trying to track down who is working for the cartel and get ready for war. Duke has been a member since he graduated from high school 11 years before and he is best friends with Colt. Duke hasn't had a relationship since he was in high school and the girl he dated left him without a word and broke his heart. When Duke was home one night, his doorbell rang and a young girl was there saying she was his daughter. One look at Sierra, and Duke knew she was his, and his high school girlfriend Eden didn't tell him about her. When Eden learned Sierra went looking for Duke, she followed after her. Duke was angry at first about his daughter and wanted answers. Eden said she would tell him when she was ready. When Eden returned to town, she saw Colt, who had his own connection to Eden, and when Duke found them together, everything he thought he knew changed and he was left with even more questions. Add in the danger of the cartel and it made for a great read. I love this series and i thought this book as a great one that had emotional parts. I felt bad for Duke because he had a family he never knew about and because of others they were kept away from him. I think Duke loved Sierra at first sight and still loved Eden and wanted to be with them. I love how he wanted to protect them from the start and wanted to prove he was worthy of them. Another great one.

This is the 3rd story in this Black Hornets MC Series and we get to read about Duke. I enjoy how each story carries over into the next story and not only do we get a story about Duke but also about the other members in his MC! One day Duke is exhausted dealing with Mr. Money and is home trying to relax and he hears a knock on his door. What does he find but one smart mouth sassy little girl, Sierra claiming he is her father. Once Eden realizes where her daughter took off to she goes after her. Once Eden and Duke see each other for the first time in 11 years things are a bit on edge. Eden and Duke where high school sweetheart hearts and the day after graduation Eden disappeared and left Duke without the one love he ever had. To say Duke wants the truth from Eden is an understatement. Eden has an older brother Colt who is also part of the MC and he has hidden his family from them until a Duke sees Eden having a conversation with Colt in a parking lot thinking all the wrong things about them. Things go from intense between them all until Eden and Sierra are threatened and the MC does what they do best, protect those in need. The love between Sierra, Eden and Duke is something special and the way they pick up their lives is a beautiful story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Savannah Rylan is up there as one of the best MC authors there is and this her latest series is a wonderful read This is the third book in the Black Hornet series this is a wonderful second chance romance that has a few twists and turns to give it a special take

Eden and Duke where schoolyard lovers but she disappeared shortly after graduation and he has never seen her again he has written to her but has never had any answers he is heartbroken about this. Eden had a secret she was pregnant to Duke at their high school graduation and now she has a eleven year old daughter who wants to know about her father. When Sierra finds the letters with a return address she catches and uber to find her father Duke is stunned at the girl on his doorstep she has his eyes but otherwise she looks just like Eden when Eden arrives to take her daughter home he knows they need to talk What he doesn't expect is that Colt is also her brother. When Colt and Duke get into a fight Eden pulls them a part and says she needs to talk to Duke Colt isn't happy but leaves he is been followed Who is it and will Duke and his MC brothers be able to keep her safe

A sweet unexpected second chance romance not often seen in MC stories.
Duke, Book 3 of The Black Hornets MC Series by Author Savannah Rylan is another example of being a great serial writer. This book focuses on high school sweethearts Duke, a member of the club and Eden who he hasn't seen since graduation night and never knew she was pregnant. Well he does now when his eleven year old daughter, Sierra knocks on his door and introduced herself. Can you imagine?! On top of that his best friend Colt is involved and the Cartel remains hot on the club's trail threatening everyone, including Eden. How is the club supposed to keep everyone safe? Can they?
I continue to love this delicious series where the men are hot and sensitive. The cliff hanger caught me by surprise and now am inpatient for book four to appear on my iPad. Definitely recommending this book for your reading pleasure and enjoyment.

“Duke” is the third book in the Black Hornets series and I'm totally in love with this series. Each book can be read as a stand-alone but there is a background story that carries throughout each book. I would suggest starting at the beginning just because the stories are so amazing. This time the story revolves around Duke a member of the Black Hornets, Eden his high school sweetheart and Sierra Duke's surprise daughter. Duke hasn't seen his ex since their graduation over eleven years ago when Sierra lands on his doorstep insisting she is his daughter. This book is a roller-coaster ride of suspense, drama, danger, action, twist and turns along with humor. “Duke” drags you into a world of heart wrenching romance and sizzling sexual tension that holds you captive until the last word. I can't wait to read more from this fantastic author whose work I highly recommend.

High school sweethearts Duke and Eden had plans for their impending adulthood. But the day they graduated all those plans were garbage, it wasn’t what they did. What Duke and Eden did do was break up. Eden’s long-lost brother had come back with plans for her and their family that required immediate action which meant moving and cutting ties. Duke was a tie.

With the Cartel business still in the air, Duke couldn’t understand why his brothers didn’t realize choosing the women they’d chosen would dig the club in deep. Shaking his head over their choices, Duke is completely unprepared when a perfect blend of him and Eden rings his bell introducing herself as his daughter, Sierra.

Duke had no idea the Cartel was watching him and had knowledge of Eden and Sierra and wouldn’t hesitate to count them as collateral damage. That’s more than enough reason to wrap Eden and Sierra in the bosom of the club as the club once again goes toe to toe with Cartel.

Cute but editing and storyline are getting worse

The story is okay but the characters don't make a ton of sense.
Eden comes off really unlikeable and refusing to allow herself around danger until she all but jumps at it being okay super quick. And Duke in the beginning is a jerk who hates his friends for their relationships and has no interest in family, then he is at the house he secretly made for the family he knew he wanted?

At one point we are told the MCs breakup was mutual and given the whole conversation, but then later it's that she ran off without a word.
Cold and Duke are supposed to be crazy close but neither knows of anything about the other and everyone's feeling seem to change on a dime.

Plot holes and inconsistent characters make it harder to read than it should be since it's a cute story.

This is the story of Duke, a member of the Black Hornets motorcycle club. It is the third book in the series and the author does a good job of filling in the information carried over from the first two books. Duke has just met his 11 year old daughter born to his high school sweetheart, Eden. She hid her pregnancy from him because of his affiliation with the Black Hornets and the potential danger. There is a lot of action and danger comes knocking, just as Eden feared.
This is a well written novel with wonderful characters and plot. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is a cliffhanger. That being said, there is a HFN ending. This book has explicit language and graphic sex scenes and is intended for adult audiences.

I received this book for an honest review. This is the 3rd book in this series and the excitement just gets better and better. Savannah Rylan did an outstanding job with this one. This is a story about a second chance at love. After 11 years Duke meets his feisty daughter who shows up at his door and finds out that his high school girlfriend who left him was pregnant. While lies and betrayals are revealed, Duke now has a bigger problem, the need to take out the cartel while protecting Eden and his daughter who are now being targeted by the cartel. With all of these twists and turns and with the help of the Dead Souls MC can he destroy the cartel while saving his family? Need to find out the outcome of this drama with Book 4. This is a must read and I highly recommend this book.

"Duke" is book 3 in the Black Hornets MC Series and picks up where book 2 left off. This series needs to be read in order and each book is not a standalone. These books flow together beautifully and the storyline continues flawless. Duke is very closed off about his past and only his best friend Colt knows the true him. When Duke's ex-girlfriend comes back into the picture his world is thrown upside down. Truths come to light and open wounds are starting to heal. When danger knocks right at the front door decisions have to be made quickly to protect the people he loves.
This series is awesome and really keeps you engaged in the story. With each new book the plot thickens and I can't put down the books. I highly recommend this series!

Oh my gosh, Savannah Rylan has outdone herself with this book! Duke is a roller coaster ride...exciting, sexy and funny! Duke and Eden have a history, young love that results in a child that Eden’s kept secret from Duke until said child, Sierra, shows up on his doorstep and then the book ramps up the entertainment! Sierra is sassy and so funny and there’s also a whole load of supporting characters that help to make this an amazing story! I am now curious to check out these fascinating folks so I will be going back and reading the previous Black Hornets books as well as The Dead Souls series since they’re intermingling. Great job Ms. Rylan, great book, I highly recommend it!

Duke 3rd story of The Black Hornets MC. It was a sweet emotional story about second chance's. This Duke and Eden story they were high school sweethearts. Eden left after her and Duke Graduation. After 11 years A big secret is revealed to Duke, plus plenty of twists and turns and action and Men of The Dead Souls MC show up to help them outtake the cartel. then bang CLIFFHANGER what the H%%L. Well, things just keep getting messier for the Black hornets! Loved it!

Duke can’t understand why all of his friends are tying themselves down with women and children. Life is for living the high life but when he gets an unexpected visitor at his door his whole world is rocked by his past meeting his future. As secrets come to light the MC are still fighting off the cartel and their threats to harm everyone they love.

Great story can’t wait for Colt’s story.

I liked that this story is a bit different that the usual with surprise children/babies. It is very well written and has a great storyline and plot. Likeable characters who are well described and develops nicely through the story. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters and brings the story closer to the reader.
When the love of his life suddenly is outside his door with a child he is really surprised. But he knows he has to protect them and have the family he needs. Emotional and with twists.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I really enjoyed all of the characters. This was a book of kindness, compassion, surprise, and returning to your first love. I really enjoyed it when Duke's daughter came to his home and introduced herself to her dad. I also enjoyed it when he and his daughter's mom Eden got back together. And became a family again overall this was a really great book. I recommend this book to all romance readers. And MC lovers.

Daughter he never new until now!

Duke member of the Club opens his front to a little girl who came to see him and shake his hand, Sierra was his eleven year old daughter which he never new he had! Eden his High School sweetheart left town after graduation and failed to tell him she was pregnant. The story and the characters are involved in some exciting, strange storylines. Sexy, steamy, and some mystery. Recommend with a 5 Stars rating

I have recently discovered this author and I am hooked on her books. This is book 3 in the Black Hornets MC series. Duke and Eden were in love in high school and together as much as possible until she ghosted him on graduation day. She broke his heart. Eleven years later a young girl turns up on his doorstep claiming to be his daughter. Sierra's mother shows up shortly after, not wanting anything to do with Duke because he is part of a motorcycle club. I enjoyed reading this story.

Awesome, sexy and not motorcycle romance. Duke has been with the MC for over a decade. Suddenly, an eleven year old girl shows up at his door saying she wanted to meet her dad. Eden hasn't been back in town for over a decade and never expected to see Duke ever again. Both Edens and Dukes worlds are tilting and lots of troubles coming. There's action as well as a fight brotherhood between the characters. I've had the pleasure of reading the first 2 books in this series and they just get better. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Rylan.

This MC second chance romance offers readers a surprising amount of sweetness. I liked Duke and Eden very much and thought they had good chemistry. There is plenty of drama, danger, action and emotional turmoil to keep you fully engaged and entertained. A very good read and a great addition to this series. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Finally a second chance love story where when they figure out that they both messed up they actually TALK! Like not after making things worse, they realise it and talk like « normal » adults... or as normal as possible given that there is an mc club, a cartel, threats, lies etc... let’s say they are more normal than the usual characters in 2nd chance love stories lol

Second chances

These books are so fast paced. Duke lost the love of his life after her graduation. Eden just up and left him with no explanation. He had been holding out for her and trying to forget her for years but no chance. When a small knock on his door comes and an eleven year old girl is the one who's knocking his life changed forever.

Here you have an MC Biker shuffling through life, searching for..... who knows. Duke thought he’d found the love of his life, Eden, in high school. After the graduation ceremony, she just up and disappeared, no note, no goodbye, no explanation.

Fast forward 11 years, and there���s a knock on the front door, Duke opens the door to the last person he ever thought of.

WOW! I just finished this book. It was very interesting. I did very much enjoy reading it. Duke found out that he had a daughter and got his long last high school sweet heart back. Cole got his sister back, plus a niece as well. Then all things went to hell in a hand basket. So on to the next book in this series.

Wow, I really loved reading this story. The characters were wonderful. Duke and his high school sweetheart. After all this time, he finds out the truth. Eden and Duke have some issues to work out..

Their chemistry and passion is scorching HOT🔥! Steamy sex scenes are in this book.
