Colt was the fourth book in the Black Hornet MC series by Savannah Rylan. Although the series was a spinoff from Rylan’s Dead Souls MC series, the series could be read as a stand-alone; however, the series itself should be read in order.
Colt was the Road Captain for the MC. He was the planner. We learned in the previous book some of his secrets and they carried over into his book as well. Olivia was the DEA agent assigned to being down the Cartel in Redding. And her best bet was through Colt and the Black Hornets.
Colt picked up where book three, Duke, left off. Rylan took us through some of the chaos from the previous book and continued the suspenseful thread between the Cartel and the Black Hornets through the entire storyline. She also weaved in the alliance between Colt and Olivia as well their attraction. And as expected, another cliff hanger will take us directly into the next book.
Although I enjoyed the suspenseful storyline, it read as a chapter within a bigger story. I’ve purchased the six book set an am reading it back to back as one story. That’s my recommendation for others as well since the main plot continues through each book. Onward and upward with book five, Thor.

Colt story starts at the end of Dukes when he calls him from jail that were everything starts for Colt and Olivia, These story was one wild ride from start to finish, They have a connection towards each dont wan to act on it because of Colt position in the club and Olivia been a DEA agent. They both have to help each other out to bring the cartel down plus keep been with each a secret form everybody, Not saying any more it will only give away the story, A must read, Another f**king awesome story Savannah, Thor (aka Hulk) let be have you.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the fourth book in the Black Hornets MC series. In this book, we pick up after the shootout with the cartel and Colt trying to get away. Colt finds an injured Maverick and hides him from the police and tries to get away. Colt is arrested and thrown in jail, but he hasn't been charged with anything. After being held for a few days, Colt learns a police officer was killed in the shootout and the local sheriff wants to pin it on him. Colt is interviewed by Olivia, a DEA agent who is investigating the cartel. Olivia has history with MCs and know there is more to learn about Colt's club. Olivia doesn't think Colt is guilty or any of his club killed the officer. Olivia makes a deal with Colt about trading information they have on the cartel in order to capture the leader. Colt is released from jail and he goes to the club and tells them about Olivia's deal. Dean, the president of the MC, is furious and the other club members worry Dean is losing it. Colt and Olivia grow closer as they try to learn to trust each other. Soon their attraction to one another is more than they can stop and they act on their feelings, but can they really trust each other? I loved this book and this series. I thought it was action packed and fast paced. I love Colt and thought he needed to find a love. Olivia was willing to trust Colt and knew about the MC life. I think she knew he was innocent and was willing to prove it. I look forward to the next book.

Who Doesn't Love A Good MC Story?

Couldn't put it down; read it within six hours. I wasn't sure how I would feel about Colt getting his own story being in the previous book made it hard to like him. Yet in this one he was redeemed a little bit in my eyes. Though I had hope he'd get more interaction with his sister and niece. Except as I read they were hardly mentioned in this book and were more of an after thought some of the time to the character despite how he really wanted to make things up to his sister and to get to know his niece.
Colt's love interest Olivia brought in a q fresh spin (I personally hadn't read before)to the story. We learned about her past so we could trust her intentions to the MC and how she came to be a profiler and DEA agent. Their budding relationship hit a small bump that has as quickly resolved and they flourished as a couple.
Despite the action packed beginning I felt it lacking in the kicking ass and taking names department that I came to love from Savannah Rylan's writing. The story was mostly about Olivia and her past connection to an MC and the growing problem the agent President of the Black Hornets who seems to becoming more and more ... unhinged (though I'm not sure if that's the word I wanna use). But there is still more to come! Add this book to your Library today!

It didn’t finish, ended on a massive cliffhanger.
Olivia is a DEA agent, investigating the drug cartel. When the sheriff asks her to talk to a man who has been arrested in a shootout with the cartel, it’s Colt. She does a deal with Colt that he’ll cooperate with her and help her to shut the cartel down, and he gets released from jail. It all starts falling apart after that. She wouldn’t just be able to release a man that’s suspected of killing a policeman. She has no proof that he didn’t do it. Then of course they start having sex and she doesn’t seem to do anything, apart from read a few files and get her information from Colt. Then they’re madly in love and she gets death threats and that’s it! It’s the end of the book. It doesn’t explain what she’ll do as a job, where she’ll live, she’s never even met any of the club apart from him.
There are the mistakes as usual. Thor in the beginning is described as a functioning mute, whatever that means. Then all of a sudden he starts talking!! The plot doesn’t make sense, I didn’t like her or him, and the club brothers don’t exactly have each others backs!

This is book 4 in the series. You can read as a stand alone, characters are explained. In this story we have Colt, who is a member of the Black Hornets MC Club. Colt was arrested and is sitting in a holding cell for 3 days. No one from his club has come to bail him out, he’s just sitting waiting for anyone to come. The police are holding Colt hoping to find evidence to convict him with so they can lock him up for good.
The DEA agent is Olivia (Liv). She has come out to Redding to see if she can help the police find who is dealing drugs in their town.

This is the 4th story about the Black Hornets MC series and this one is about Colt. At the end of Duke, Colt ends up getting taken into custody and takes on the burden of responsibility for his entire MC. While in jail a DEA agent, Olivia questions Colt and boy is she good at getting answers without Colt speaking. She also grew up around an MC and the history has some bad memories that she is using to help others. Olivia is out to find the truth of what happened and in doing so Colt is given a pass out of jail with restrictions of checking in every 24 hours with Olivia. These two have a great connection but need to learn to trust one another if they want to have anything special between them. I enjoyed how they figure out how to trust one another and how to deal with those out to cause nothing but more heartache onto the MC and those they are protecting. Colt's story starts where Duke's story ends. Locked up after a failed shootout with the Cartel his only chance to leave jail is FBI Agent Olivia. She reads his mind like no other and answers questions before he can. Working together from two angles to bring down the cartel is not sitting well with the club. When their President Dean is making decisions that can potentially harm the club Colt has to step in with the other guys to protect the club and their loved ones. Olivia's involvement with the MC does not go unnoticed and when her life is threatened Colt will do anything to keep her safe.
This series just keeps getting better with each book as the plot thickens. Just when you think you know the key players another twist is thrown in to blow the story wide open again. Amazing writing that is keeping you glued to the pages.

Great story and series.
Colt, Black Hornets MC Series, Book 4, by author Savannah Rylan is as electric and edge of your seat reading as the first three books in the series.
Colt is the Road Manager of the club and has given himself over to the police when a shoot out with the drug cartel went sideways. Enters Olivia, a DEA agent and a daughter who was raised in an MC. she is very proficient at nonverbal language and uses it to read Colt and helps him strike a deal to get him out of jail.
They work very closely (clothing optional) which leads to an arrest but also a threat. What happens next takes place in the next book, Thor.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and I am leaving this review for your consideration.

I've read the first three books in this series and they were all five stars. “Colt” is no exception and is also a gripping five star read. Liv is a DEA agent trying to take down the Cartel. Colt's club, The Black Hornets is also trying to rid their town of the Cartel. Liv is very knowledgeable regarding club life as her father was a long time member of an MC. Colt and Liv strike a deal to help each other although Liv's boss and Colt's club are definitely unhappy with this arrangement. Can they make it work and reach their desired goal without bloodshed? Will their undeniable attraction get in the way of their plans? “Colt” is another true masterpiece from a fantastic storyteller. Not to be missed.

I just love this MC... You just never know what’s gonna happen next.
Colt is thrown in jail trying to protect his MC and his town from the Cartel.
He just has to stay cool and wait for his brothers to free him. But all that coolness goes out the window when the hot, sexy DEA agent walks in.
Liv is a DEA agent brought in to break the prisoner.
He’s arrogant, cocky, gorgeous and he thinks he’s going to win. Every look, every touch is a sign and what I’m seeing in Colts eyes has nothing to do with the Cartel.
Liv and Colt are an unstoppable team.

The fight against the cartel bringing drugs back into town continues in this 4th book in the Black Hornets series. Colt is arrested on suspicion of shooting a police officer during the shootout between the club and the mafia. Olivia is the DEA agent assigned to investigate him on account of the drugs coming into town. She is a skilled profiler and knows more about the MC world than Colt realizes. The two work together to figure out why the police are trying so hard to pin the charge on Colt. This book is just as fast paced and exciting as the others in the series. Cannot wait for Thor's story to come out next month. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

He turned himself into the police to save the club when a confrontation with the drug cartel went wrong. Now he is looking at serving time but with the help of DEA agent Olivia he may cut a deal to save himself and his club. Will these two such different people be able to work together to not only save the club but also bring down the cartel and what about the simmering heat that is flaring between them. This is in Savannah's usual style with plenty of drama and adventure thrown into the mix along with some steamy heat between our main characters and we get to visit with all our old friends from p

Awesome contemporary motorcycle club romance. The Black Hornets are a small MC that's trying to keep drugs out of their area but the cartel is trying to force drug sales and shipment. Colt is the Road Captain of the club and gets arrested. The DEA send in an agent, Olivia. She's good at profiling people so Colt doesn't even have to talk and she can read him. There's a lot of action as the club tries to stop the drug war and protect their family. The characters are well developed, smart and enjoyable. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading the next book "Thor" by Ms. Rylan.

Great!
I chose this rating because this was a really great book. I really enjoyed most of the characters. Colt and Olivia. He was a very secretive man. He end up getting himself arrested some kind away. So that's where Olivia comes into play, she was a DEA agent so she wanted to get in good and understand his MC. He wasn't going to let her get his crew into anything that wasn't good for them. Well the way it ended up she helped him out, and in turn he had to help her out. And as you know Colt and Olivia fell in love one another this was a really great relief. I recommend this book to all romance and MC lovers.

Colt is a continuation of the Black Hornets MC and this one is a doozy! Colt is the Road Captain and winds up in jail due to a bad decision by the club's president. Olivia is a DEA agent who is sent to interrogate him while in a cell. A deal is struck between the 2 of them that a) releases Colt from jail; and b) helps the DEA take down a drug ring kingpin. This book is nonstop action with a lot of sexual scenes and language. It also ends in a cliffhanger due to the nature of this series. There is a HFN ending so a reader is not completely left hanging.

This book was gritty, raw and intense. It picks up right after the end of Duke's book and takes readers on one thrilling ride. Colt and Olivia generate plenty of steam and sparks. Their banter is clever and their attraction is powerful, though they do their best to resist. These two are firmly on opposite sides but that does nothing to ease the pull between them. Drama and suspense keep you on the edge of your seat, while the scorching scenes will have you needing a ice cold drink. I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting, heat filled romance. This is my independent, impartial review.

What they didn’t expect was the sparks that fly whenever they are near each other.

Colt begins where Duke ended. For this reason, I highly recommend reading the books in order to completely grasp what is going on and the connections between each person.
Liv and Colt's story will have you on the edge of your seat (and definitely screaming for more when it ends). Will Liv and Colt be able to find happiness despite Liv being DEA and Colt being MC? Read to find out where their loyalties lie.

It is well written with a great storyline and plot. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the main charachters and brings the story closer.
I like this series about the Black Hornets men and they only get better with each story. A story that has humour, emotions, intense, suspense, steam, twists and drama. A fast paced and filled with action. It is not destroyed because of the pace. It suits it. A lot happens in this story and that made med read it in one sitting.

Another deliscious and steamy MC romance by Savannah Rylan. This time it's all about Colt, his incarceration, his toughts about the President of the Black Hornet MC and of course the lovely and intelligent Olivia that gets under his skin.
As always I loved how the author has portayed the protagonists and made them feel real. The banter, humorous dialogs and the steamy moments are all mesmerizing.

This is the fourth book in the Black Hornets MC Series. Is there a conflict of interest between Colt and Olivia? He's an MC gang member and she's a DEA agent. Wow, this series just gets more suspenseful and thrilling. No shortage of danger or drama as we follow the emotional and romantic roller coaster of Colt and Liv as they fight the cabal. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to review. Wow, what a story!

Wow, this series just keeps getting better! Colt is a long time Black Hornet, a little more mature and most definitely loyal, to the point of allowing himself to be arrested. Enter Liv, DEA and profiler, with a previous life that includes an MC family. Throw these two together and you definitely have sparks! Quick, sexy and amazing, per usual for Ms. Rylan. I love revisiting previous characters and look forward to meeting new ones. Thanks Ms. Rylan for the fabulous read!

Omg talk about a trip on a roller coaster ride, I LOVED IT. Colt in jail to save his brothers, meets the annoying and spot on DEA agent with a pair of brass ones. Needless to say it makes for an explosive combination. My only question is when the club didn’t trust her and colt found out why she knows so much why didn’t he check it out or have the club check out her background and claims????? Can’t wait for the next books

A great addition to this action packed storyline romance. Colt and Olivia were strong, likeable and developed nicely. This fast paced story had great chemistry as their developing relationship hit some obstacles as they became a couple learning to trust. An amazing read thrilling rollercoster of gritty intense and raw passion filled with suspense and some drama. I can't wait for Thor's story. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC
