Malcolm's Stand

Rate this book
My name is Malcolm. I am 17 years old. I am a high school senior. I am dead.

The news says I was shot, unarmed, because the police officer thought I was a robbery suspect. There are no witnesses or cameras. It is my word against his; and my voice is silent. My mom cries every day. My girlfriend, Tianna, doesn’t want to sing anymore. My community wants to riot. I want my life back.

I may be dead, but I can still see and hear. I can also make people sense my presence. Ghosts have a way of finding out the secrets of the living. What I discover about my mom, girlfriend, the cop – even myself – makes me want to come alive with joy and die a second time with sadness.

I have decided to make a stand. Will you?

Story is too disjointed and didn't flow very well. Through the 1st 200 pages of the book I still didn't know the circumstances surrounding the shooting of Malcolm.
