Three holiday romance books in one set, each with a bonus song!
Book One of the Holiday, Inc. Series, Noelle's Golden Christmas. This Christmas, Noelle Holiday is getting a big surprise, and he's way too big to fit in her stocking!
December isn't filled with the magic of Christmas for Noelle, just the looming dread she's about to lose something else dear to her. Will she ever be rid of her Christmas curse?
When she adopts an injured shelter dog, she discovers the love of her life... a Golden Retriever named Abby. Perhaps being single is God's plan for her, but at least she isn't alone.
Her meddling family, however, is convinced she needs a man in her life. They introduce her to two irresistible men who couldn't be more alike. Or more different. Both men sweep into her life, testing her faith, and stirring up desire and confusion in equal measure.
If she can just get through this humbug holiday without another heartache!
This sweet Christmas romance tells the story of a believer, struggling to implement her faith in her everyday walk and battling fear to find the agape love that drives it away.
Book Two of the Holiday, Inc. Series, Haley's Hangdog Holiday This Christmas, Haley Martin may be harder to catch than her runaway dog.
Haley has a chance at her dream job working for Holiday, Inc. There’s only one drawback. Her ex-boyfriend, Gavin Holiday is her supervisor.
Seeing Gavin again makes her heart pound and her soul ache, yet Haley knows he deserves someone better. And her secret crisis of faith is only one of the reasons.
Add one very recalcitrant Basset Hound to all her other problems, and it looks like Haley is going to have a real hangdog holiday.
This sweet Christmas romance tells the story of two young believers, struggling to find faith and love in the midst of adversity.
Book Three of the Holiday Inc. Series, Shara's Happy New-foundland Year All James is asking for is a second chance. Or maybe a third…
Shara has been hurt plenty of times. She knows men can’t be trusted. She would never consider giving James a second chance… except his crystal blue eyes have a tendency to melt her heart and soften her resolve. Good thing she has a puppy to distract her.
Though James wants to date Shara, the idea of being a husband and father scares him. A lot. And with good reason. His brother’s wife is expecting a baby, and they both seem to have lost their minds. Good thing this puppy is giving him a trial run at commitment.
Only God’s unconditional love can heal Shara’s heart and give James the courage to make a lifetime commitment.
NOTE FROM AUTHOR: This sweet Christian Christmas Romance touches on serious themes of guilt, abuse, alcoholism, and bulimia, with an uplifting message of hope in God’s grace.
USA Today bestselling author Tamie Dearen has published more than twenty books, including The Best Girls Series and the Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance Series. Tamie believes real life is already full of enough heartache, so she gives her book-characters happily-ever-afters, no matter how difficult their paths.
Tamie Dearen lives in Texas with her incredibly romantic husband and two dogs. She hates dusting and exercising and loves anything musical or artistic. When she's not writing books, you might find her playing with her grandkids or drilling on someone's tooth.
Delightful set of love stories. Many wonderful characters. Plenty with their own forms of insecurity. Lots of raw emotions. Many reminders of God's love and forgiveness. I enjoyed the set and believe that you will as well.
Borrowed via Kindle Unlimited on 18 March 2019. This is my honest review.
Not usually a fan of contemporary romance but this one was so special! Enjoyed each story and loved the music links! What a heartwarming trio! And perfect for a Christmas read! Loved it! Will be looking for more from this author! Great read!
What an inspiring Christmas collection. All of the characters have flaws and things they need to work out with the grace of God. Also, please take the time to listen to the beautiful music Mrs. Dearen has including with these books. The songs are beautiful and have such wonderful messages. I can't think of how many times I've read a book with a song in it and wished I could hear the tune to appreciate it better. I love that she gave us that opportunity.
Noelle's Golden Christmas - I accidentally read Haley and Gavin's story first. The Noelle in that book and this one were very different. It was neat to see how much Noelle had grown. If you don't think Noelle has changed enough by the end of this story, you need to read Haley's story and see how her faith has grown.
In this story Noelle has a few hangups and misconceived notions and is still struggling to find herself. She meets two men who are quite different, but each helps her discover things about herself and come into her own. I liked Noelle's character and her desire to do right even if she fails at times. Aren't we all like that at times? I wish we'd gotten to know David a little more. I felt I knew James better and wanted more real conversation between Noelle and David. That's my only complaint about this book. It's a beautiful story and helps remind us that we are all sinners and we can all change thanks to our Savior.
Haley's Hangdog Holiday - Wow, this book sure covers the entire spectrum of emotions. I was not prepared for that, but I love it. I don't want to cry every time I read a book, but I love when a book pulls me in so much and I am so invested in the characters that it does bring me to tears for them. I love Haley, I love Gavin and I loved the silly dogs. I don't want to give anything away, but I will say the epilogue really got me.
Shara's Happy Newfoundland Year - I love in a series when we get to hear the story of some of the lesser appealing side characters. James and Shara were not favorites from the first book, but even before it ended you started to see a change in them. I'm glad we got to see where that change took them. They've had complicated pasts and they are struggling to communicate and completely trust one another after a mistake. This story has a lot of ups and downs, but I came to love and appreciate James and Shara so much more and I loved their story. It was also fun to see Noelle and David again. Noelle has come a long way from the beginning of the series and I have loved her character.
Noelle’s Golden Christmas Tamie Dearen always brings unpredictability to her stories. Noelle could have fallen into a poor pitiful me character but she does turn it around. There are some surprises in the story. I enjoyed the subtle way the author brings in that God can change lives and hearts.
Haley’s Hangdog Holiday This is a wonderful story of romance but it is mainly a story of trust, trust in each other and trust in God. Haley has trust issues and her mother has control issues. Gavin is caught in the middle of the two issues. Gavin’s father is the last person one would suspect of being a closet matchmaker/heart repairer. Tamie Dearen has done another great job of bringing us interesting characters and story line.
Shara’s Happy Newfoundland Year Shara and James finally get their shot at happily ever after but between her insecurities and his foot-in-mouth disease there was a good chance that time might never come. Once again Tamie Dearen brings us characters you alternate between hugging and yelling at them. Some tough questions and answers about God’s love and forgiveness are addressed in this story. A good story to read.
I don't normally read a lot of Christian romance, but considering all, these were good stories. The characters came to life with their own personalities. There were lessons to be learned as the author delved into their individual circumstances, focusing on problems and issues: social, spiritual, psychological. For sure, the focus was on Christian messages. But you don't need to embrace the religion to appreciate the interpretations. I'm finding it hard - not being a writer myself - to explain how a lot of this really helped me understand our own imperfections and human frailties, "sins", coping mechanisms, etc.
Enough said. I'm mostly a romance reader, and all the good stuff was there. I particularly liked the last - Shana's story. Reading the first two definitely helps the flow and it is all so heartwarming seeing people helping other people. And of course the dog stuff was adorable.
I read these books after buying them separately. I didn't realize when I got the box set that I'd already read them until I started reading again. I considered closing them and moving on to one of the many in my t.b.r. pile, but I couldn't close the door on the wonderful characters and stories. I didn't want to let them think I didn't care about their fates. I'm so glad Ms. Dearen led them through to a happy ending!
I truly enjoyed these stories and I look forward to reading more by this author. She writes freak stories that included the problems that couples face in day to day life. She also touches on the some of the complications that they have in communication. I look forward to the next journey in reading soon.
All three of these book have truly wonderful characters. Each trying to work through their faith and trust issues. Lots of laughs, hope, love and compassion. Also many misunderstandings. I highly recommend all four of these books.
Noelle's Golden Christmas is so much more than just another Christmas romance. It is about personal growth, trust in the Lord, becoming a better person and giving your life and concerns to God. It has a great dog, a heroine named Noelle Holiday and the two Christian brothers - obviously written with tongue in cheek! Be sure you check out the awesome song written by Tamie Dearen. The link is at the end of the story. I am loving this series of holiday stories. They keep getting better. Once I started Haley's Hangdog Holiday, I got nothing else accomplished until I finished it. A wonderful, Christian romance with very believable characters and the bumpy road we travel. This story has humor, pathos, life changing illness, characters struggling to be better Christians, and lots of faith. The basset hounds add a whole other dimension to the book.I will read this one again. Shara's Happy New-foundland Year is a thought provoking, warm, wonderful holiday tale from Tamie Dearen. The characters are very believable, imperfect humans. Shara and James have joint custody of a Newfounland puppy. This is an interesting story of love, redemption, and letting God be in control. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not buy this set since I own each book individually. I highly recommend the Holiday Inc. set of books.
