Kumara Siriwardane is a renowned Sri Lankan author, journalist, and editor, celebrated for his contributions to Sinhala literature and media. An alumnus of Ananda College, Colombo, he began his literary journey in school, writing poetry, short stories, and dramas. Over the years, he has held key editorial roles, including as editor of Muthuhara magazine and deputy editor of Silumina newspaper. His literary works include novels, short stories, and translations, with notable titles such as Handa Nihanda, Sasankara, and Bhawanirodha. Siriwardane has received prestigious accolades, including the State Literary Award and the Youth Award, recognizing his influence in literature and the performing arts. He also holds a master's degree in mass communication from the University of Kelaniya.
