My life is unrecognizable. I’ve never been in more danger. I thought I was safe at Evermore Academy. I thought we were finally making progress in this war. I thought I had people I could trust.
I thought I could always count on Tucker…I thought wrong.
But now all that’s changed. Alataris is coming for me with everything he's got, and no one is safe. He's using the people I love against me. I’m not sure who is on my side or who has fallen to the enemy's tricks. I want to turn to Tuck, but even he is hiding things from me.
My life is falling to pieces and to fix it I'll have to turn to the one person I know I can't trust...
okay, okay okay... I need the next book immediately. This novel is way too intense. If I could rate this novel more than 5-stars I would...as well as this entire series so far!!!!
Zinnia is looking for the cure to the Hex that was placed on Tucker by *spoiler -- you know who*! Ahh, I can't even. Ophelia was such a bright spot within this novel, she is so complex and sassy; I love her.
So many secrets were brought forward this novel, Becks and Nova's...Kumi, I loved that there was more of her in this novel too. In this next novel, I want more of Becks and his past/secret. I want more of Nova and her friendship with not only Zin but Ophelia. I want more Brax and his love for animals and hopefully a relationship with Kumi. I want the dragon to come back and kick ass. I want Ophelia and Cross to have more of their complicated relationship explored. More of Grayson, as he is a Vampire...plus his family curse! Seriously there are so many ways this next novel could go...and so many things that I NEED to happen. Tucker and Zin are seriously end game soulmates.
This series is beyond phenomenal. I cannot get enough of these characters and this world. I have no idea how long Ms. Montero plans for this series to be; but I seriously hope there are several more novels in this world.
I need Evermore Academy more than ever. Alataris will stop at nothing to take me down, even use the ones I love against me. Now I have to trust the one person I know I can’t…
Delightful. Suspenseful. Magical.
I had started reading The Royals: Witch Court back in mid-March, and now that I read WICKED HEX I am even more in love with the series than when I first started reading it. I had feeling that this series would be my type of the book, but I didn’t realize how much I would love this series. I cannot wait to pick up the next book in the series and see what happens, and how can I not after an ending like that? That ending, I was in shock, even I did not see that coming. Now that is a cliffhanger that will have you waiting for more. How can you not help but wonder what happens next? I know that I do. I feel as if WICKED HEX had the most going on from the books that I have read so far. I loved the first two books in the series, but so far WICKED HEX has been my favorite. One of the reasons that I read this one so fast was because I couldn’t force myself to put this one down. Anytime that I tried to, or was ready to, something unexpected happened and I ended up reading for few more hours. There was a lot of going in this one, and not a single page where there wasn’t something going on. WICKED HEX will keep you on edge of your seat from beginning to end, and afterwards will have you craving for more.
Zinnia, I think out of all characters, she is one of my favorites. I also feel like out of everyone in the series, she is the one who changed the most. You can tell how different she is from the first book. I cannot imagine have to go through what she had. You can’t deny how she feels for Tucker. I know that she loves him. Otherwise she wouldn’t do anything to save him. My heart broke for her, and for Tucker, and I cannot imagine watching the love of your love, so close to death. If it was me, I don’t think that I would be able to handle it. To have go through what Zinnia went through, in order to save him, that takes a lot of courage. But I knew that she would do whatever it takes, in order to save Tucker. That ending, I never imagined that she would go that far. The more you read this series, the more intense it seems to get. Usually by the time that you reach the end, you find yourself with question. You find yourself thinking of most of the characters as your friends, and the story becomes real for you. That ending, I still cannot get over it, my emotions are all over the place, and I find myself thinking about it, wondering what is going happen next, and I cannot even imagine how Tucker must be feeling. I got admit that out of the books I read so far, this is the most emotional one.
Do you enjoy young adult fantasy? You should check this series out. It will keep you on edge of your seat from start until end.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I am not sure who Zinnia should trust in this book except Nova. Nova is the only one who trusted Zinnia with her secret. Zinnia acts like she trusts Ophelia & Crow from the start. She says she doesn't, but actions speak louder than words. Poor Tuck is really struggling through this book. It makes me mad because Grayson knows they are soulmates & a lot of them suspect it, including Matthias. So why doesn't someone with knowledge of things related to soulmates help them out! It just seems like in a world of magic there could have been something done before Tuck got so deadly. Now on to the next because I don't believe the ending will stay the way it played out!
The queens and their knights are faced with their toughest obstacle yet, and they don't even know it; at least at the start. Add to that some new faces, whom nobody seems keen on having around, and Zin isn't sure what to think, especially when new connections are revealed. In this book we see Zin going all in for someone she loves. She'll put her faith in the unknown, and do whatever it takes to make things right. But when it comes to matters of the heart, we often don't think straight, and can make rash decisions. So what happens if she goes too far?
This is one of those books you just can't stop thinking about when you're done. I love how close Zinnia and Nova have become. After seeing how Alataris treats Ophelia, I am not surprised where she ended up. I also loved Kumi's increasing involvement with the knights and queens. A previous review by Nic said it all. This is a fantastic series and I love each and every one of the group. I hope there are many more books in this series to learn about all of the others. I requested an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This one picked up speed around half way through. First, it was a bit difficult to get into the story. The story lost some momentum the last third of book two and it continued into 'Wicked Hex'. But then it was brilliant and I liked how Ophelia is now part of their group. There are a lot if secrets between the main player and I have a feeling it is not going to end well. I am a bit irritated that the adults like Niche are so hell bent to follow the rules even so Alataris is doing what he wants. I really wonder what the whole picture of this world is.
Some spoilers.... OMG... 🥺🥺🥺🥺after everything they have been through, he finally tells the truth about them being soulmates and then the hex takes over....
Can this get any juicier??? Zinnia’s world has been turned upside down not knowing who to trust.. Alataris is coming for her and no one is safe.
I love ❤️💙💗💜 this book , it just keeps getting better with each new book in this series.
I've been reading this for nearly a full month. Finally finished this morning. So I couldn't really recall what happened in the previous books or other series that's linked to this but oh I was so bored regardless.
I don't want to fully blame the book I think the book is OK I just wasn't in the mood. I liked the plot and I think if I'd read this maybe in a different time of year or a year ago maybe I'd have gotten sucked into this and liked it but unfortunately not.
I think I'm probably going to dnf the series(s) and just move on.
This is the third book in The Royals: Witch Court series and they just keep getting better! This book is well written, fast paced, action packed and grabs your attention right from the beginning and keeps you in suspense until the very last page. Zinnia’s world has been turned upside down not knowing who to trust. Tucker has been cursed with a Hex. Alataris is coming for her and no one is safe. I loved everything about this book and can’t wait for the next book Wicked Potion!!!
Zin's life just got more complicated. Tucker has been hexed with a spell that makes him want to kill Zin. They both know they are soulmates, but with Tucker in thrall and trying to kill her, trying to start a relationship is secondary to staying alive. Ophelia has come to Evermore and so has Cross but nobody is sure if they are friend or foe. In order to save Tucker, Zin has to die and she's ready to do that. The only thing is, can she trust Ophelia to bring her back?
Tuck is still unconscious with the hex. Then Ophelia makes him a potion from the special Amazon flower and he wakes up. But something still isn't right, his eyes are black at times, he forgets time and doesn't act like himself. The hex makes him want to kill Sunnis. So she needs to die to eliminate the hex. Ophelia makes her a special potion that simulates death, then she's supposed to wake up ten minutes later.......
Dang! That was a wicked Hex for sure! Title is very accurate. We start back up with where Zinnia has rescued the ice dragon from her dear old dad. Tucker has a Hex put on him. Trying to find a way to remove it becomes a challenge. A sister, and a new guy added to the mix. Things get very complicated. Gah the ending! I need book 4!
This is the third book in this really great series and one I am so completely addicted to. They have to figure out a way to fix Tucker and she is determined to not lose him and will do everything she can to save him. Absolutely love this series and all the characters!
Wow this book really puts you through the ringer emotionally with the characters. Everything the feel and are going through you will feel too. Poor Zin and Tucker never get a break. He is hexed and we have to watch the struggles the face. This book leaves one big cliffy. So buckle up for the ride of their lives.
So much happens in this book that you just keep reading and don't want to stop. The excitement and danger just has you switch from happy to misery in a few pages. This is a very exciting book that will leave you wanting more. Megan Montero is definitely a wonderful author you will want her to keep on writing. On to number four.
OMG!!! How can I write anything without making spoilers? The whole series is highly addictive!!! Each book is better than the last and I'm seriously suffering from withdrawal, what with the cliffhanger that ends Wicked Hex! I'll re-read all books while waiting for the next!!!!!
Another AMAZING book in this series...Loving Zin and Tucker!! Full of action, can't put this series down... Just glad I found a this series when it was done and didn't have to wait between each book!!!
What a roller coaster of emotions!!! 😭. like Half the book Tuck has this weird hex mojo on and Zinn trying to cure him and all the gang trying to help and omg! that ending had me like 😱😭😱😭😱 on to the next book. Must read in order peeps!
Yet again, Megan is able to weave an incredible story that I (the reader) couldn’t help but get sucked into. I love how the character growth as the story progresses and also getting to see it from additional perspectives.
Wow oh wow! Each book just keeps getting better and better. This picks up right where the other one left off and the action just never stops. I can't wait for more
This book had so many up and downs . I cried a few times and the cliffhanger ending was B.S. I need the next book and enough playing with my emotions 😭
The narrative gets slowed in this volume, but the story still grips the reader. A suspense that follows the mood of the characters and new mysteries are unrevalled.
