I loved this book. The story is well written and the characters are easy to fall in love with. This is book 2 in the series so we have met the main characters previously, however, this one gives us so much more depth and insight to the how's and why's of the original story. This author shows us the brutality of real life situations and how we deal with them. Full of anger, and the sweet gentle moments allows us to immerse ourselves into Rainelle. In order to get the full perspective, I do recommend that these books be read in order.
This is an amazing insite into what happen before. I loved being able to see what happen before and get more of the relationships Rainelle had before. You will not be disappointed when you purchase this book! I recommend for all.
This a great start to an exciting series.. this does end on a cliff hanger as there are more books. I will be checking out the next book when it becomes available!
I have to admit I thought it was a confusing story. Rainelle's character first comes across as a young woman who knows what she wants from life; become a singer. The way there is not easy when she comes to sing in a bar where the owner wants her more as a barmaid. She meets Ben, a man she can love, but her family doesn't like him. If she chooses him instead of her family, she will lose everything. The confusing part is mainly in the moments when it is written that wolves have been seen that may have been werewolves. It is mentioned but it does not come forward in the story. In addition, it is said that Rainelle forgets much, but the how and why of this or even the when remains unclear. Overall 3 stars

This was the perfect prequel book to the series. It introduced you to all the characters, who they were and how they we involved in Rainelles life before. It showed you how she ended up where she was and the situation she was in before the start of the first book. Just awesome!!
