“Elise Sax will win your heart.” –NYT bestselling author Jill Shalvis * Success! Operation Billionaire is off to a great start. Beatrice is away on a luxury honeymoon with her billionaire. Now, it’s Olivia’s turn. Snagging a job as personal assistant to hottie billionaire Rock Clarke, she’s in his house and with a little encouragement, she could be in his bed. But Olivia comes with a lot of baggage in the form of her four children, and Rock is a confirmed player, not a diaper changer. Olivia’s Operation Billionaire backup – her mother and her friend Rosalind - won’t give up, though, until Rock is saying, “I do” and Olivia has her happily ever. How to Marry Another Billionaire is the second book in the hot and hilarious new trilogy by the author of the Matchmaker books. * This is a full-length novel, perfect for fans of billionaire romance, romantic comedy, and chick lit. * “Elise Sax belongs on every bookshelf.”—NYT bestselling author Melissa Foster
Elise Sax worked as a journalist for fifteen years, mostly in Paris, France. She took a detour from journalism and became a private investigator before trying her hand at writing fiction. She lives in Southern California with her two sons. An Affair to Dismember is her first novel.
How to Marry Another Billionaire by Elise Sax is filled with laughter, romance, chaos and zany characters. Everything I expect and look forward to in Ms. Sax's books.
I see (in my review because such books I fairly fast forget) that I had a nice time with the previous part of the series. Unfortunately, this part bored and annoyed me. I don't know if it was because it was too much unbelievable, or with too little plot. I don't want to even spend more time searching for the reason. I just add that the worse was, that Rock's aversion to children and to commitment changed out of the blue. It could have been more charming and subtle (and funnier). Total waste of thread.
[1.5 stars because there were a few laughing moments]
Operation Billionaire is fresh off it’s success in finding Beatrice her billionaire, now it’s Olivia’s turn! How to Marry Another Billionaire was a non-stop laugh fest from start to finish. Elise Sax never fails to give you an hilarious happy ending! Can’t wait for Rosalind to find hers.
Olivia is a single mother of four. Rock is a single commitment phobed billionaire bachelor. He is friends with Cole. That is how they meet. He joins in helping in the Operation Billionaire plot to help Olivia. Her dates are funny but he rescues her each time. He is funny at the beginning with her kids but they work there way into his heart. Love their adventures throughout the book along with all that Cole does to his cars. Love this story. Cute ending.
I am a huge fan of this series. So I was all for learning why Gladie moved in with her grandma. I started reading the book and my first thought was, this is a little slow. I had a few chuckles but it was not the same as the series I loved. Then, wham! We go from a walk to a run. I go from chuckles to laughing out loud. I am smiling through the whole rest of the book. It was fantastic! It was definitely the series I love.
I guess Elise was trying to be funny in the first one. This one is clearly the better of the two books. The premise is that now that Beatrice has her HEA, it’s Olivia’s turn. The tropes are many & the book is overdone & dramatic, but it also has it’s funny moments.
The girls try the Operation Billionaire shtick on Rock & he falls for it hook, line & sinker. These are really short books, but, even the short length does not explain Rock’s 180 on kids. It was mind-boggling. He spent like 2-3 hours with them & was ready for fatherhood with FOUR kids.

Rating as a movie: X for sexual content

My rating: ⭐️⭐️½💒🤰🏼💰💸
My thoughts: 📱34% 1:50:52 Chapter 6 - I wasn't 60 seconds into Chapter 1 before the first major inconsistency! In the last book, Beatrice sprained her ankle and Cole broke his leg and now they are saying it's the other way around. I already suffered a major disappointment with the ridiculous humor in the last book and now this. There was a 5th baby born in the last book but now it's back to 4. I'm convinced this is a bad parody.
This one toned down the silliness and the sexual details a bit but not much, it still was a ridiculous story. I'm finally at book 3 and I've given up on following the plot since they are just making it up as needed.
Recommend to others: Only if you don't care about continuity and find The Three Stooges hilarious.
Operation Billionaire Trilogy 1. How to Marry a Billionaire (2017) 2. How to Marry Another Billionaire (2017) 3. How to Marry the Last Billionaire on Earth (2019)
So much of what I love in one book: hot guy, bedroom gymnastics, crazy kids, clumsy heroine, and interfering old ladies. I always laugh with a Sax book, then swoon and laugh some more. The girls want to get Olivia together with Rock, but he's a bit hesitant until she dates other billionaires. The chaos ensues as her friends try to help. Of the three girlfriends, Olivia is the second to find her billionaire. Beatrice was first and Rosalind is next, each book is separate but lots of characters return. Although I was given an early copy from the author I fully enjoyed and have written this review voluntarily without bias.
Loved, loved, loved this story!!! Elise has a way of writing that is so entertaining, mesmerizing and engrossing. I absolutely love her style of writing. This book was so hilarious.... I laughed and laughed... Then I would think of a funny scene and laugh all over again!!! It was a sweet, loving, swoony book too.... Rock was the perfect hero... Olivia was such a wonderful caring person..... And all the characters were perfection... Quirky, funny, supportive, a little NUTS .. But perfect. 😀. This was a delightful and uplifting read!!!! Highly recommended!
Having read all matchmaker books from Ms. Sax, I knew I had to read this novella. Classic mayhem and humor awaits in this book. Learning how Gladys becomes the mystery solving matchmaker makes even more sense after reading this. This is a standalone novella, but opens the door to the whole matchmaker series. Fans of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series will appreciate the comedic genius, but with a far better romance undercurrent and twist of a more modern "who done it".
They say the best way to conquer your fears is to take them on full force, Rock has done exactly that in How to Marry Another Billionaire. I loved Olivia and Rocks story and this book was just as funny as the first in the series, The camaraderie between all the characters are ON POINT and I laughed throughout the entire story! I can not wait to see how this series wraps up with Rosalind's story.
Sooo funny! In this second book Olivia is left high and dry by her cheating husband with four kids and no money. Rock is her billionaire of choice. The gang is ready to take him down. One small problem. He doesn't like kids or commitment. But, with everyone on board with a plan, he doesn't stand a chance. Wonderful and so funny you laugh your way through the whole story.
That's what you'll think through the whole series while laughing your head off. Gladie is the walking disaster you always read about. Elise Sax is a genius when it comes to humor and timing. I have no idea how she comes up with these stories but she delivers every time!
Damn this series is fun! I know this is a prequel, but I'm glad I've read the previously released books in the series as it made the cameo of a certain metrosexual detective, that much more delicious. I love this series and can't wait for the next !
The first book in series had me laughing out loud!!! This book was funny, cute and enjoyable. But not LOL. ☺ Still a good book. Have to wait for March to see what next book brings.
Loved this just as much as the other book. Am so turned on with this whole series. Of course I am getting the next book. It makes me laugh out loud with all that goes on.
Another hilarious romcom! I laughed till I cried again. What she goes thru to catch a marriage shy, children shy billionaire is hoop after hoop. So there's hope for women with multiple children and stretch marked stomachs that even Spanx can't help. What her friends do to help her is terrible! Funny, but terrible!
