This is book number four in the Northern Creature Series, and it does not disappoint (I do recommend reading them in sequential order from book one, Monster Born). A major winter storm is brewing just as the wolf pack is about to make its big run, in Alfheim, the magickal town in Minnesota protected by the elves. Making this run even more dangerous is having to keep a close eye on some of the young kids since it's their first run. The elves help them stay together, but it won't be an easy feat, especially since a smarmy stranger has shown up in town and has started to stir up trouble for one wolf in particular.

Also, Frank is still searching for answers as to who the mysterious woman with concealment enchantments is. Ellie Jones. All he has is a picture of her on his cellphone to go on, a name, and that he cares a great deal for her. With help from his loyal dog, Marcus Aurelius, Ellie's friend Chihiro, and his innate determination he will find a way around the nightly sundown reset and find his way to her.

As usual, Kris Austen Radcliffe is a master storyteller, weaving and winding the details with such mastery that you feel as if you are right there along with the characters. She puts in just the right amount of detail for wonderful world and character building, yet not doesn't go overboard so you won't be bored to death and wishing she'd just get on with it already. The pacing is fantastic that you are turning page after page not wanting to put your (e)book down, but filled with anticipation and excitement at what happens next yet not rushed through where you feel like you missed some important plot point or left disappointed that it was all over too soon. If urban fantasy, elves, werewolves, and the like are your thing I definitely urge you to give this series a try. Each book somehow outdoes the last. Maybe I'm just biased, because I love them all!

I love everything about Alfheim, the fictional hometown of Kris Austen Radcliffe’s Northern Creatures series, and it’s denizens be they elves, weres or other things that go bump in the night. Wolf Hunted (Book 4) is a wonderful continuation of the series, and of the story of Frank (star of book 1’s Monster Born, though you might know of him as Frankenstein). Once again an absolutely superb and wonderfully imaginative story taking advantage of the superbly crafted world created by the author (and it’s equally superb cast of supporting characters) - ideal for this kind of story. Add in top-notch writing and the results are yet another big winner. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

This is a wonderfully imaginative series, which set in modern day Minnesota. A group of elves emigrated centuries ago and founded a settlement. Alfheim now houses, in addition to the elves, a local werewolf pack and Frank Victorsson, of Frankenstein's monster fame. Frank became the adopted son of Alfheim's elven leader, Arne Odinson and does his part to be a good citizen and keep his adopted family safe. Frank, and the other inhabitants of Alfheim, have developed beautifully over the course of the series. This book is about an outsider coming to the settlement and trying to attack the wolfs during the run on the pack during the full moon. The setting is authentic and believable. If you like modern urban fantasy with a bit of a quirky twist, this is a series worth checking out! There is plenty of action and fun characters.

This is the fourth book in the series & it doesn’t disappoint. Frank is still struggling with the concealment spell that is hiding Ellie & Marcus. A pesky photographer comes to ruin a celebration. The plot thickens, new foes & friends come to play. I read this in one sitting & didn’t want to put it down. Exceptional written with scenes & characters that grab your attention from beginning to the very end.

I voluntarily agreed to review this book, and was given an Advanced Reader Copy to do so.

My favorite of the series so far. A fun, easy to read fantasy adventure with lots of Norse mythology mixed with Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman and Elven mythology. I could see this becoming a TV/Netflix series. The characters are likable and the various magics & fighting styles are unique. I’m hooked till the end. Highly Recommended.

Great book that continues Frank's story. A new threat comes to his town and he has to try and find out what it is and how to defeat it.

Frank and his friends face a blizzard for Samhain and a mundane son of a warewolf with revenge magic to spice things up. A very good book as is the norm for Kris Radcliffe.

Frank & the elves are in serious trouble, but it seems like since the start of "Brothers" visit, things haven't exactly been easy or normal for Frank Victorsson & the other magical residents of Alfheim. With the new threat facing Alfheim Frank fights to get within Ellie's wards. Once again Ellie helps save the day even though the Elves & the other magical's within Alfheim cannot see or interact with her. I cannot wait to read what happens next in the world of Alfheim. Kris is one of my favorite authors & Alfheim is one of my favorite worlds! This story nail biting from start to finish!
