Lisa has a diverse career background, having spent more than a decade working in radiation physics, and twice that as a director of film and video.
An avid pilot and photographer, Richman can often be found flying a Piper Cherokee or photographing Deep Sky Objects (DSOs) late at night.

What can I say except for by nature of plot and just sheer execution, the duo of Cooper and Richman get 5 stars alone and they just keep surprising me all the time. After the initial problems and story ARC were completed i wondered how our intrepid adventurers would fair, but fear not with all too realistic plots and engaging characters this easily competes with the main series. Because of this then i have to give another star if only because it's hard to compete against quality like this.
An emotional tale this one. Following on from the previous books in this series, the characters we have come to know well have entered a new system, and a new host of issues. Compared to prior books, where we saw some parties trying to set up authoritarian regimes, here we see one that is well entrenched, and we get to see just how bleak and dark such regimes are. The team get to demonstrate their various skills well here as they get into conflict with the regime, with a suspenseful story up until an action packed finished.
Team Phantom Blade and the nest of filers is more like it.
The Avon Dale and Team Phantom Blade arrive at Little Rivers to find they have a situation in their hands that Will interchange them. The two planets of this system remind me much of the U.S. Vs. USSR or Israel vs any of the Muslim countries. The story flows well with some drastic dramatic moments that will break your heart.
If you are a fan of the Aeon 14 series, do not miss this one. But be prepared for the emotions it will evoke in you.
Lisa and Michael did a very good job of showing true colors of "people's republics" that aren't really about people and how dangerous such "neighbourhs" are. A bit of irony here. Good book, reminds us of human life's value and that it can't be traded because of greed.
Governments can be as different as chalk and cheese, using an iron fist or a velvet glove to control the populace. When they collide it can be devastation. This is not a happy story, the subterfuge is disturbing, the lengths to which some will go is even more so. As well as being a good book in itself it leaves the reader with a lot to think about.
Every time I read a aeon14 book I can’t wait to start the next one in the series or begin a new story line. I will read everything M.C. and his team of writers put out, never disappointed.
Always good to catch up with our favorite captain and billionaire business man. Some things become clearer as these books march on. Onwards to that other despicable regime!
