Dark Romeo #1

Love Sprung from Hate

Rate this book
Cold. Ruthless. Killer.

That’s my birthright. The only thing meant for me.

Until her.

Because when she gazed up at me, her honeyed hair spread across the pillow, her soft body naked and open, she made me feel like I could be different.

She gave me a reason to be different.

Imagine my shock when I’m dragged into an interrogation room, their prime suspect, and she walks in…

Detective Julianna Capulet.

I am so fucked.

Because I still want her. I want her like an addict craves his drug. I need her like a sinner needs his absolution.

And I will have her.

Even if it kills us both.

Inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, this is a retelling for mature audiences. Don’t enter the Underworld if you’re scared of the dark.

Love Sprung from Hate by Sienna Blake is a modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet. I have always had a thing for star-crossed lovers/forbidden love, so I was automatically interested. Learning a crime family would be involved just solidified the deal! I had never read any of this author’s previous work, so I crossed my fingers and dove right in.

“Romeo” is a man from an infamous crime family in Verona named Roman whose father is trying to groom him to take over the family business…a business that he wants no part of. His father let him do whatever he wanted in Europe for years apart from the family, but now that his other son, Jacob, has been killed, he needs Roman to step up to the plate and fill his shoes.

“Juliet” is a woman named Julianna that is the daughter of the police chief in Verona. She is a cop herself, and she has been struggling like hell to prove herself to him and the rest of the department. It is hard enough to be taken seriously as a woman in a male dominated profession, but it’s even harder when the chief of police is your dad, and he doesn’t give you any serious cases.

When her father finally decides to give her what she wants, Roman turns out to be the suspect sitting across from her in the interrogation room. If her father or anyone on the force finds out that she slept with the heir to the Tyrell crime family’s throne, she will be the laughing stock of the department and never gain her father’s approval. What would happen to Roman if his family found out he was sleeping with a cop? No matter what, one thing was made clear that day in the police station. Whatever was between Roman and Julianna wasn’t over. It was just beginning.

Love Sprung from Hate is a story packed full of instalove, steam, and suspense. Sometimes instalove doesn’t work for me, but since this is a Romeo and Juliet retelling, that made me let that slide. We need the characters to feel strongly about each other or the story wouldn’t work, and I think the author achieved what she intended to do. This is the first book in a trilogy, and for that reason, I was left wanting more from the story. I assume I will get it in the next two books, and that is good enough for me for now. Overall, I enjoyed the book, and I was invested enough in it to want to see what happened to the characters in the next installment. If you like retellings with a modern day spin or forbidden romance, you might want to give this one a try!

Juliana Capulet and Roman Giovanni Tyrell /Lettiere...
Two star crossed lovers from two opposite sides of the Law. They might as well be living on different planets, not in the same city -Verona. That's how apart they are. They come from different backgrounds, families, suburbs and work ethics. He belongs to the very viral fungus that's eating this city alive and which her father has vowed to eradicate and cleanse this city from.
Roman Tyrell and I were on opposite sides of the city, living in two different worlds, yet struggling with the same grief.
And into this complex web are caught the innocent pair of lovers , who've just tasted the elusive first kiss and spent together a night of unbridled passion .
She's protected and groomed by her father to protect the Law, he's forcibly inducted into the family business by his ruthless father.
The Reluctant Heir.
The Prodigal Son
The Last Standing Tyrell.
" since Jacob died, the youngest son has been recalled back into the fold. The prodigal son has returned and there’s a new heir to the throne. The new Prince of Darkness has come home.”
After one night together , they're standing on the opposite ends of the Gun.
No matter how hard Roman tries to run, his father has him by the Scruffs, and now since his weak point-jules is in the danger of being used as a pawn , he succumbs to his family's demands of blood and mayhem
“If you ever talk to me like that again I will shred you down to your worthless bones with my bare hands. I brought you into this world, I will fucking take you out of it if I have to.”
The story is so well written, has great turns and subplots, I just had a taste of the dish in book 1, cannot wait to devour the whole meal.
What will they do ?
How will they cross over?
Cannot wait anymore.

This was my first Sienna Blake book to read and what a start it was! This is Book 1 in the Dark Romeo Trilogy with Book 2 releasing on July 13 and Book 3 releasing on August 10. Cannot wait to read the next 2 books as this ending……….. WOW!!!

Imagine meeting someone and having the night of your dreams come true. The two of you just melted together as if it was fate. You have found your perfect match.

Now fast forward and what has happened!!!

Julianna has been practically raised by her father. Having lost her mother when she was young, she has followed in her father’s footsteps to become a detective with the local police department. Her father is the Chief of the Police who vows to ‘clean up the streets’.

Roman has fled the country at the age of 18 trying to distance himself from the family he wants nothing to do with. But when his brother is murdered, he finds himself back in town. Hoping to come and go quickly…. things change quickly when his father notices him at the funeral.

What a fast paced, easy read that has some pretty steamy scenes!!!

What a thrill ride!!
This is book 1 of a series and I was completely captivated by the intense, thrilling and sexy ride.
What's not to like in a forbidden romance between the police chief's daughter and the son and heir to the Mafia.
The writing was excellent.
This modern day version of Romeo and Juliette had the similarities of the two families in turmoil wanting different things for their family. HOWEVER, this version was fast paced, exciting, intense and sizzling hot!!
The characters were well developed and their passion and turmoil brought out all the emotions.
Will they survive or will their love end tragically...
I cannot wait for book 2!!!

Sienna Blake delivers a sexy and suspenseful spin on a timeless classic with Love Sprung from Hate. Raw, gritty and incredibly erotic, this book was an intense tale of two people from opposing worlds clashing together unexpectedly. With a unique plot and fantastic writing, the story packs a serious punch and leaves the reader eager for the continuation of Roman and Julianna's story.

"The second we touched, it sealed her fate. I didn't want to let her go. Ever."

Blake's writing is so rich and powerful, and these traits are evident in every scene written. She takes the time to flesh out the details of the setting and characters without being tedious. The details of the characters' lives are laid out in a way that makes you eager to learn more about them. Both Roman and Julianna have experienced loss at a young age, something that affected them in different ways and contributed to the connection they shared. Through the dual POV, we are given insight on both of their pasts and present, and the reader experiences the intensity of the feelings on both ends. I loved how the passion between them was so fierce, it took both of them by surprise.

"He'd awoken something inside me. Now I wasn't sure if I could live without it. Without him."

The bond between them was so inexplicably strong from their first meeting, and only strengthened with each minute they spent together. I loved the interactions between them, and the way they come to learn their circumstances was so well done. Their inner struggles were written just as well as the dialogue was, and I felt myself becoming more and more engaged in their story as I read on.

"I wanted him. Even though I knew who he was, my body begged for his touch."

The fierce connection between the characters plays in well with the violence and unrest brewing around them. The author sets the stage for what is looking to be an even more intense second book. I am so eager to see where things will go with Julianna, Roman, their families, and the seemingly impossible situation they are in.

Get this book. If you're a lover of angst, Mafia, impossible odds, intrigue, and seriously awesome writing, get this book. NOW!

This five-star read beautifully parallel the famous Shakespearean play, Romeo and Juliet. Roman, hero, and Julianna, heroine, captured me from page one! Totally and completely knocked me on my ass and demanded I Iove them forever! Each scene hooked me! I willingly capitulate to every connection between Roman and his Jules. Things get dark and ugly rather quickly so be aware! The intensity is incredible and I walked away several times to regulate my blood pressure! Yoga and Dom Perignon seems to be the way to go after an intense scene!

So....things to remember: Kudos to Blake for her incomparable approach in this trilogy! Although this is only book one, she SLAYED!!! Totally NAILED it! Keep the yoga mat and Dom Perignon handy! You're gonna need it! Blood pressure cuff....not a bad idea either....and last prepare yourself for the deuce in this trilogy! I plan to marinate in this sexy couple and their drama! What about you?

Five phenomenal stars!!!

♚6 Julianna and her Roman Stars ♚

Love Sprung From Hate by Sienna Blake was dark, raw, and gritty. The suspense gripped me like no other, my jaw was off the floor. My mind was blown literally and figuratively! I will say Love Sprung From Hate is one of my favorite books I have ever read. A forbidden love story between a detective and a Mafia Prince.

Julianna Capulet and Roman Giovanni Tyrell.
Two star crossed lovers, on different sides of the law.
She is light. He is darkness.

Julianna Capulet
Detective. Daughter of the Chief of Police. Fights for what she believes in.

"A Capulet never runs from danger. A Capulet does their duty."

Julianna is following her father's footsteps, becoming a detective, and cleaning up the streets. But she is always behind a desk, Julianna want's to be on the front lines. To have her own case, and her wish comes true...what she doesn't expect is that her lover is the main suspect for murder.

Roman Giovanni Tyrell
Playboy Mafia prince. The Prodigal son. Last remaining heir to the throne. Monster. Criminal.

"The Prodigal son has returned and there's a new heir to the throne. The new Prince of Darkness has come home."

Roman was forced into the family business. Shedding blood on the streets, slowly becoming a monster. A man he doesn't even recognize anymore. Roman is slowly dying inside, doing his father's bidding. He can not run from his destiny.

Until one night changes everything.

Julianna becomes Roman's weakness.
His salvation and also his undoing.
But he will protect his girl at all costs.
Even from Himself.

The undeniable chemistry between Julianna and Roman made my heart BLEED! Fate is always trying to tear these two lovers apart. I even shed a few tears, because this story was just so good.

ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review

Love Sprung From Hate was my first read from this Author but it would not be my last. You Sienna Blake have earned yourself a fan for life! I wanted to devoured this book in one sitting but at the same time I didn't wanted to end. I tried my best to read slower but now I'm finished and I'm in a Bookhangover! I'm pretty sure that condition exists! Let me just tell you before reading this book I was in a fetish for biker men but now I have a fetish for men in suit. Oohh so so hot!

description

"He had a sophisticated polish to his air, like he was born wearing a suit and yet… there was something dark about his demeanor."

Many people tend to think that two opposites sides of the world would never cross paths but life always gets in the way of that saying right? For me Julianna and Roman's story was Love at first sight, their connection was intense from the beginning that it had me in the edge of my seat.

"Weirdly, my voice had stopped working. Why was I reacting this way to him? I had never reacted like this to anyone before."

Julianna Capulet is a detective and only daughter of the Chief of Police, Roman Lettiere Tyrell is a Mafia Prince, heir to the Tyrell's bloody empire. Roman is a Lettiere by heart but Tyrell run through his blood, that doesn't mean he's a bad guy, like he's father but how can he prove that to other people when they only see through his last name.

"Look past the last name I was given, You know me."

Both the hero and heroine have many things in common and one of them is they both experienced grieved at the same age but they overcome it differently and it was both their mother.

My favorite character from this book is Julianna "Jules" she always managed to make me laugh, I love her personality, and I love how she stand out for what she loves and cherish it.
She's a strong, independent, sassy, and beautiful woman who can hold her own. She doesn't need a prince charming to save her and that's what intrigue me to love her. I've read many books were the heroine needs saving by the hero and finally a different perspective. Thank you Sienna Blake for changing the view in a woman.

"Tell Roman, that he's an arrogant ass who has no idea what's like to be a woman in a man's world."

Roman (swoons) is the perfect alpha male, very loyal. He's charming, sweet, a sexy alpha man, a dominant that'll captivate you from beginning to end. He'll make you swoon and laugh, he has the perfect personality which will make you wish you were Jules.

“I’m going to bend you over, peel your underwear off.” He paused. “Peel it off,” he repeated. “I’ll be lucky not to hurt you when I tear them off.”

A sexy one night stand with no personal questions, nothing wrong with that right? Well after you have him in the interrogation room with a murder case file you may think twice about that. And let's not forget about Giovanni Tyrell, Romans father (shivers) Omg his name even gives me the chills. I don't know what to say about him just that the man itself is a scary mother******. He's ruthless, raw, and doesn't give a Sh** about the law.

“If you ever talk to me like that again I will shred you down to your worthless bones with my bare hands. I brought you into this world, I will fucking take you out of it if I have to.”

Overall I love this book because it consume me, grip me, and gave me all the feels. This book ends in an amazing cliffhanger that makes you want more let me clarified myself "I need more". I can't wait for y'all to read this book and Love it like I did. P.S We don't have to wait too long for the second book because it will released on July 13, 2017. Eeek! I'm so excited to see where this story takes me. Jules and Roman' s story was intense with many twist and a great plot. I know Terrie called dibs on Roman but can I have second dibs? Haha

"Sienna is a pen name for a bestselling, award-winning fiction author. If she told you who she really was, she'd have to kill you. Because of her passion for crime and forensics, she'd totally get away with your murder"

This was at the end of the book and I totally agree with this statement once you read this story you'll know why. (Wink, wink) I literally felt like I was on one of those CSI shows, Sienna Blake knows what she's talking about, she knows her facts

These are my Happily Ever After Novel Thoughts...

This story has a very Romeo and Juliet feel, right down to the names; Roman Tyrell/Lettiere, Julianna Capulet, and Mercutio. Two lovers from opposite sides of the law and the best best friend, sound familiar? If you like/love Romeo and Juliette, you will like this mafia spin Sienna Blake puts on it.

For me, a mafia version of star-crossed lovers seems perfect on paper, and this story did not disappoint. It had a great push and pull feel to keep me entertained and not wanting to put it down. But be warned: it is a cliffhanger!

A happenstance meeting, a one night stand, a murder...

Roman and Julianna have a chemistry that undeniable but one being in the mafia and the other being a homicide detective, their paths should have never crossed in the romantic sense. That is unless you believe in fate. Fate, it is said, will play a hand in your life when you least expect it. Was it really fate that brought these two together, or is it a manipulation from either side?

I can't wait for the next book so I can find out what happens next! This book does end with "To be coninued..."

Grab you a copy and settle in for a great emotional ride in the town of Verona, while searching for a happily ever after.

“Look past the last name I was given. You know me.”

WOW! Pulled me from the start and didn’t let go. Intense tale of two people from opposites sides of the city, living in two different worlds, yet struggling with the same grief. A fierce passion, intense connection from the first meeting which intensifies. A cannot work/forbidden romance between a police detective (and the daughter of Chief of Police) and a reluctant Mafia Prince has me rooting for them. Told through dual points of view, we have insights into their thoughts, their past and their present. Developed characters, setting, and plot. The author left me a bit scared of the mafia father as well as his scarfaced goon, Abel. I’m eager for the continuation of Roman & Julianna’s story. While the story doesn’t end with this one, each of the books in this series releases within a month of each other so you’re not left hanging a long time for the continuation. Loved it!

Oh Roman, oh Roman. Where for art thou Roman?

If you really like Romeo & Juliet retellings then this is your book. This is a spin that I've KIND of read before, but also not really. There is a uniqueness in this story, that it isn't word for word like R&J, but it does have the star-crossed lovers vibe and similar/same character names. The. Aight bits are hot, the angst is getting heavy, and the characters are sort of growing on me. This ends in a cliffhanger and the next book comes out in July. If you can't wait... I'd wait to pick this one up. If you can wait, and you like retellings of Romeo and Juliet, then read love sprung from hate RIGHT NOW!

Wow, this was amazing!! 😍🔥 That cliffhanger tho.. 😮

One night was all they had for each other. They never expected to feel so connected to the other in such a short amount of time. But when they go back to their normal lives, they never expected to meet again.. especially so soon.

First of all, the chemistry between Julianna and Roman is off the charts!! 🔥 I could not stop reading about their mutual thoughts and feelings. They are the absolute cutest.

Second, the way they meet again. Holy shit. I mean, I knew it was coming but it was still crazy! The way their families differ so much but are still somehow the same.

I cannot wait to see where this goes! Off to book 2.

Received an arc for my honest opinion.

Wow. This is not your typical mafia book. It's so much more. It's hot and sexy but the chemistry between the characters is amazing.
The son of the mafia boss and the daughter of the chief of police have an incredible night together. Just to be thrown together with Roman being the main suspect in a murder case.
I cannot wait for the rest of the series.

I am absolutely in love with this book. I was not sure how I was going to like it at first but Omg!
First off William Shakespeare is my favorite and who doesn't love Romeo and Juliet.
Roman and Juliana gave me chills. I loved how they met and the way they were with one another.
But then the big haunting line that played in my mind was nothing is what it seems.
That is true to a T when it comes to this story.
I had no idea what was boiling underneath the surface. I mean really who would if there was really nothing they felt important to share.
Roman is the devils son and you can never run from the devil.
Juliana is a detective surly their paths were going to cross if they only knew who the other truly was.
All I can tell you is that this book had me on the edge of my sit! This story is intense and you will be glued to these pages.
I read this book in 2 hours and I am still in shock. This last page has my mind racing. I need to know what side my Roman stands on.

OMG....I need book two right flipping now!

Wow!! What an exciting read! I could not put this book down. The danger, the familial expectations of each of the main characters, the intense predicament they are now faced with.... I cannot wait for the next book! I haven't been hooked into a book quite this hard in weeks!

Our hero and heroine find themselves in a situation that makes it impossible and dangerous to be together. Julianna is a homicide detective working on a case that directly involves her love interest, Roman. Is he guilty or innocent. How will she manage working the case, not showing she has any connection to him, and getting to the truth? .... all while sorting through her conflicting feelings. The story continues with "The Scent of Roses (Dark Romeo 2)."

Love Sprung From Hate ~ Sienna Blake

There are two extremely powerful emotions that mirror each other…Love and Hate.

Talented author Sienna Blake demonstrates this strong transformation in her rich and powerfully emotional narrative entitled Love Sprung From Hate.

“Hate and Love and hate have a magical transforming power. They are the great soul changers. We grow through their exercise into the likeness of what we contemplate.” George William Russell

The main characters: Julianna Capulet and Roman Tyrell come together from opposite worlds that are so far removed that it would appear impossible to develop a viable connection.

The criminal world and law enforcement make for the strangest bedfellows naturally until gifted author such as Sienna Blake manufactures a web of deceit, lust and mystery to vividly depict a masterful scene of passion and magic.

The conflict embedded in this narrative is a whirlwind of emotions. Once the audience develops a tender heart for Julianna Capulet or Roman Tyrell personas it is difficult not to feel compassion, and hope for the main characters as they sojourns into darkness unravels. Events for Julianna and Roman become heated, complicated and stressful as their lives collide into one another.

Readers of Love Sprung From Hate may perhaps wish Roman and Jules only the best in resolving complex situations. As the two key personalities deal with the war of personal family heartaches; compounded with understanding their own sense of identity as individuals dominated by strong parental ideas and opinions.

The secondary characters Abel Tyrell, Roman’s Father and Chief of Police Capulet Julianna’s father are strong and commanding personalities support the meaning hard hitting dialogue and the emotional turmoil that peppers this interesting criminal narrative and keeps the action moving at a steady clip.
The other keenly developed story elements are portrayed skillfully helping the reader visualize, feel, and hear clearly the passion between lovers and the emotional conflict that arises between fathers and their offspring. The dark energy embedded deeply within this book is action packed.

The love bursting forth is sizzling, juicy, titillating and displayed in a very tasteful, erotic manner.

Love Sprung From Hate is a page-turner and in my honest opinion worthy of a five star summer read under a sunhat on a beach with a refreshing, icy adult beverage.

This is a splendid version of Romeo and Juliet, the starcrossed lovers. The undeniable and all consuming power of love at first sight is convincing as are all the other areas of this beautifully portrayed rendition.

Roman is the son of one of the most powerful mafia boss in Verona. After the loss of one of his loved ones, he spends most of his time with Mercutio, his best friend. He feels more at home with him and his grandmother. Unlike his older brother, he doesn't want two follow in his father's footsteps and leaves to study in London.

Julianna is the only daughter of the chief of police in Verona and she is a crime detective. They have been through a tragic loss, which has affected them in different ways.

Eight years later, there is another tragedy in Roman's family and he returns to Verona to pay his respects with the intentions of going back to London the next day. Unfortunately it's not as easy as he thinks. When he realises that he has been spotted, he tries to escape, only to come across the most beautiful woman that he has ever seen. The attraction between him and Julianna is instant. She tries to fight it but he intends to get to know her even though, he knows that he won't be staying in Verona.

When they meet again, the attraction is just as sizzling as it was when they first set eyes on each other, and they spend the most passionate weekend together. Saying goodbye is harder than they thought and are both at a loss.

Roman's father has other ideas and he always gets what he wants. The situation changes and Roman and Julianna come face to face once again. Not under the best of circumstances. This is when their identities become obvious. Julianna is devastated and Roman feels completely lost but will Julianna understand?

The retelling of the events, the characters and the locations are vividly described. There are rivalry and violence. The love between Roman and Julianna is profound and their emotions are palpable. It's a well balanced and well paced story that captivated my full attention from beginning to end. I am looking forward to see what happens next but, dreading it at the same time! It's a heartfelt story and I am still feeling the effects whilst writing this review.

I received a complimentary eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

Sometimes an author takes something old and makes it new again and does it well. Such is the case with Sienna Blake's Love Sprung From Hate. Ms. Blake took Shakespeare's classic, Romeo and Juliet and translated it to our modern times. Ms. Blake changed the star-crossed lovers from teenagers to adults with Juliet becoming Julianna Capulet, newly promoted police Detective and Romeo becoming Roman Tyrell, errant heir apparent to a crime family. The city is still Verona but the feud is between the Tyrell Crime family and local law enforcement heading by Police Chief Capulet.

Jules and Roman start their short and ill advised love affair after meeting in a cemetery and becoming completely infatuated with each other. Roman is in Verona for his older brother's funeral and doesn't plan of staying but his father has other ideas. Julianna thinks that Roman will be gone from her life forever and then is not-so-pleasantly surprised when he ends up in her interrogation room. Ms. Blake's Julianna is an intelligent, capable, ambitious woman. Far from needing a hero, Julianna aspires to be her own hero. Roman is a man who wants nothing to do with his family's dealings, but hasn't quite found his way. Alpha yet contained. He fights where he comes from by running away.

Sierra has spun the intrigue, machinations and family feud into a current day crime drama while maintaining true to the heart of the original. Small touches of original William's work such as Mercutio (Roman's best friend), Rosaline (Roman's childhood sweetheart) and Benvolio (Roman's cousin) are woven into Sierra's take on the narrative and gives the story a bit of old world flair.

This is the first book in a three part story. The first act, if you will, as lines are drawn and suspicions mount around Roman and Julianna who just want to be with each other. I look forward to July and the second act, The Scent of Roses.

How good was Love Sprung From Hate, you might ask? It was freaking fantastic! From the opening scenes I was pulled into this world as Julianna and Roman's story unravelled, and I could see that they had insane chemistry. It was packed with action, suspense, intensity and a few sizzling scenes that will hook the reader into wanting more.

Julianna was a detective, and Roman was the youngest son of the Tyrell Mafia Empire. I could feel how attracted Julianna and Roman were to one another, as they spent one unforgettable night together. I loved seeing how passionate they were, and the soul deep connection that they shared, and that they were reluctant to part ways. However, forces outside of their control brought them together again and they had to face each other from opposite sides, while trying to hide the connection that they have for one another.

I was quite impressed with Love Sprung From Hate, it left a lasting impression on me and it established the perfect base to the Dark Romeo series. I was able to see Julianna and Roman together, and also a glimpse into both of their worlds. I devoured the book quickly, and was swept away in Sienna Blake's fabulous story telling. I enjoyed her picturesque descriptions so it felt I was right there seeing what was going on. I enjoyed the how the story became intense and built up... to leave me craving the next book! Bring on July, I CANNOT wait!

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

WoW... This was an intense, suspense ride... But so good.

This book captured me from the beginning till the end. A sort of forbidden romance. The daughter of the of the chief of police and the son of the mafia boss. How can that not be described as trouble and totally a rollercoaster ride.

These two spend one night together and she had no intention of seeing him again, but then the next time that Julianna sees Roman he is the suspect in a murder.
And what's even worse the chemistry and attraction between them is so explosive they can't stay away from each other.

Roman doesn't want to follow in his father's footsteps, he is more than happy to do his own thing, spend time with his best friend and his grandmother.
So when he meets Julianna its like she represents a light to him, something that is not from his Dark background.

And how is this exactly going to work, she is a detective and he is the son of a Mafia boss. Can this work or are they doomed from the start already.

This book will have you reading to get to the end to see what happens. You will feel like you are right there experiencing and feeling everything that the characters are feeling. But I guess you will have to wait till the next book to see where this is all going to end up.

If you're a fan of the forbidden romance, this book is for you. It's a modern twist on a timeless classic that will leave you wanting SO much more!

Roman and Julianna are natural born enemies, only they don't know that. She's the chief of police's detective daughter, determined to make a name for herself without her fathers help. He's the reluctant heir to the mob empire who tried to escape his fathers grasp.

I love the way these two meet. It's so unconventional, and absolutely fitting for them. The chemistry is explosive, and right away, Roman exerts his gorgeous alpha self. He's arrogant, but not overbearing. 24 hours. One night. That's all he can give her. And in that time, they discover all of the commonalities that they share. Loss, heartache, not living up to expectations. And wishing they had more than one night to spend together.

Julianna is a spitfire. She's a little insecure when it comes to men, but with her job, she's determined and fierce. I love the inner dialogue when she comes face to face with Roman after their one night.

Sienna's writing is wonderful. This story flows, and before you know it, you're at the end. It's filled with suspense and twists, all wrapped up in a sexy package. The ending alone will leave you gasping. I'm very excited for the next book. I need to know how they handle the situation they've both been unwillingly thrust into, and whether or not their hearts survive.

In three hours time, Sienna Blake went from someone I had never read before to on my top 5 One Click Authors.

Love Sprung from Hate is an amazing tale of a romance that can never be that pulled me in right from the start and kept me enthralled until the very end.  There is so much that is taboo with the "relationship" between Julianna and Roman.

Roman is deliciousness defined.  His character has to be one of my favorites of all time.  Period.  He is tough, exciting and dominant yet under all of that is a kind and gentle man sure to please!

Julianna is a tough girl who can definitely hold her own, but get her around Roman and for some reason she feels comfortable to let him take control.  There is something she senses on a deeper level that makes her look below the surface of what she is seeing.  These two have chemistry and to say they are soulmates almost doesn't begin to describe it.

This series promises action...which I love, love, LOVE!  It's dark and dangerous and promises to get even grittier by the end of this series...making me hooked!  The only thing that I could complain about this book is that it ends in a cliffhanger...and now I must wait.  Sigh.  I'm not good at waiting.

Love Sprung from Hate is the first book in the Dark Romeo series by Sienna Blake.  You will need to read this book to continue on in the series.

No matter era, these star crossed lovers' romance is gonna turn out epic.
Holy shit this was so good and intense as hell. I loved the concept of good vs evil happening instead of just focusing on two family rivalries.
Roman Tyrell is the youngest and the last remaining heir of Italian Mafia boss, Giovanni Tyrell. My heart breaks for Roman who is dragged into a hell he is dying to escape for so long. Despite coming off alpha to people, he has this vulnerability that makes him so heartbreaking.
Then there's Juliana Capulet, a young detective and a daughter of the chief police, Montgomery Capulet who wants to see the Tyrells rot in prison. Juliana is sweet, feisty and a brave girl who believes in the law and wants to do right for Verona as well as justice to her deceased mother.

Roman and Juliana meet by coincidence and are immediately attracted to one another. But of course, their time together was just temporary until they face one another again within the harsh reality. Juliana is the detective assigned to a murder case involving the Tyrells, especially Roman and it was quite engaging to watch how these two stand against one another.

There's definitely angst and passion around Roman and Juliana... they shall be the death of me!

I'm dying to how this epic tale unfolds... off to book 2!

This book was smoldering, intense, dark romance at it's best. A modern re-telling of a classic that enthralled me from the very first page.

Julianna and Roman's chemistry was smoking hot - the fact that their feelings were forbidden only ignited the spark between them a million times over. Roman was suave, sophistication with a confident air that drew me in each and every time he made an appearance. Jules was a fiesty, kickass heroine; constantly at war with the feelings she had for Roman, knowing they were wrong, but knowing they were oh so right, too.

This story flowed right off the pages, with Blake leaving a few gems along the way, promising a far more twisted and suspenseful tale still to come. The ending left me needing more (thankfully I won't have to wait long to have these amazing characters back in my life), and I'm excited to dive right into that action, to find out Julianna's fate, and to see where she and Roman are headed. Will they be able to ignore all that's keeping them apart, or is the divide between right and wrong, good and evil, too much for them to overcome?

A thrilling introduction to this new series, this book will seduce you. A definite must read!

"He's just a man. No, not a man. A god and a devil in one." ~ Julianna Capulet

"Love Sprung from Hate," the first Dark Romeo installment, will pull you in from the very first page, beginning with the explosive encounter between Roman and Julianna. Two star-crossed lovers? Possibly. But first they must decide how to handle the very difficult situation they become entangled in.
Julianna is the daughter of the new chief of police, a cop herself. In trying to prove herself to her father, she is thrown into a murder investigation involving the infamous and troublesome Tyrell family, the same family to which Roman belongs. Roman, the man with whom she shared an intense, erotic night and can't get out of her mind. Will this result in danger for Julianna? Can she still trust the enigmatic Roman?

Wow, wow, wow. You think you know your typical mafia trope but this is so much more! I loved it! Sienna's writing is excellent in keeping you interested in what's ahead. It's fast paced and sexy but their story is anything but easy.

Anything that is "taboo" or "forbidden" is always on the top of my list. The chief police's daughter and a son to the mafia. Sounds like a big no-no, like trouble!

A modern day Romeo and Juliet, if you will.

A series of events leads the two together AGAIN just when they are least expecting it. Their chemistry is through the roof. Their journey together is incredibly entertaining and there's lots of push and pull. Families on opposite sides, both wanting something different than their family.

PLUS, their sex is on fiyahhhhhh!

Next two books, please!

This author... She is truly talented. I've read all of her books, and somehow, she just gets better and better. This book was no different. Her ability to weave a tale is flawless, but to take on a classic, making it her own while including subtle similarities, well, let's just say... MIND BLOWN.

The author's writing is beautiful, with her use of comparisons and analogies, it makes the reader feel, and I do mean feel everything. Filled with joy, suspense, humor, and many WTF moments, this book is a roller coaster of emotions, slinging you from one emotion to another with every twist and turn.

I highly recommend this book. I highly suggest that you one click immediately, and tell everyone about this author!!!!!
