As a lover of Shakespearean tragedy, the Dark Romeo trilogy was something that I knew I had to read as soon as I heard about it. Don’t get me wrong, I think Romeo and Juliet were two stupid kids that mistook intense lust for love, but the story is a great one nonetheless! Before I came to that conclusion as an adult, I thought the story was incredibly romantic. Something about feelings so strong that you would give up anything and risk everything for another person is even more beautiful than love without complication. Now I view it as it actually is, a true tragedy, because they gave up their lives for someone that they knew for only a few days in total. Maybe their relationship would have lasted and maybe it wouldn’t have, but they made extreme decisions in the heat of the moment that made their lives come to a sudden and tragic end.

Roman and Julianna are definitely making some Romeo and Juliet style risky decisions throughout this book. The difference is that they recognize the seriousness of their situation and are sometimes forced to make some of the decisions they do in order to save each other. They are more aware of the consequences of their actions and even try to put a stop to everything more than once. That allowed me to be drawn further into the story without too much eye rolling or head shaking in disbelief. Romeo and Juliet were very young, and that made it easier for me to excuse their irrational and impulsive behavior. Roman and Julianna are both full grown adults in important positions and that would make me less sympathetic and more aggravated if they behaved too recklessly. I think the author did a fine job balancing everything in such a way that I didn’t get that frustrated with the characters’ behavior, and I even understood most of the decisions they made.

Does that mean they always did what I would have done? No, but that also makes the story a lot more interesting. The push and pull, uncertainty, and mistakes are what made me root for them even harder. It may be too much for some people though, so if that’s not your thing, steer clear of this one. Roman was giving me and Julianna whiplash in this book, especially at the end.

The Scent of Roses was better than its predecessor for me, because there was more suspense, action, and turmoil this time around. We learn more about Roman, the relationship between Roman and Julianna feels more developed, and the risks keep getting bigger and bigger. There was less sex, because the characters spend a lot of time pushing each other away, but what we do get is hot! I can’t wait to find out what happens to these two star-crossed lovers in the final book! Will Roman and Julianna end up like Romeo and Juliet, or will the author gives us a happier ending? I’m hoping for the latter. Finger’s crossed!

What if…If only…The answers were ones that we didn’t want to face.
Ain't that the truth **sigh** . Man Proposes and God Disposes. In this case it's not the Gods above but the Powers on this earth , that are on opposite sides , are against the lovers - Roman and Julianna.
Are they fated the same tragic end as the iconic , literary lovers?. I'd hate to see it that way, but the way the story is going, hope is diminishing fast . Their lives are like railroad tracks, running together . Parallel yet no point of confluence.
**sigh**
There is a hopeless thing called Love and from Romeo & Juliet to Roman & Juliana, ages have passed, worlds have changed, yet the driving force that makes the world go round has remained endlessly tragic at most times.
The story is full of tussle between wants and needs. Roman & Juliana NEED to stay far, far away from each other, yet they WANT to stay just a breath away.
Some mistakes I needed to make by myself.
Some things I need to take care of myself.
Some things I need to decide for myself.”

I was so enamoured by the narrative, it flows so smoothly . The emotions are just bubbling beneath the surface and tbh, I shed a tear or two in 3 places , at least. These emotions sometimes got the best of them, when the cruel fate gives them a whiplash and they get torn apart. The stark reality of both their backgrounds is a chasm in their Ill fated love and though I cannot wait to jump into the final book, I'm so dreading to read it.
I loved the writing style, very vivid, very ominous, like Sienna knows she'll have to be cruel, yet she's dreading going " there".
The story is complete in its conception, the characters are very true to their background and they morph accordingly, there are no loose ends, no unneccessary distractions spoiling the mood of the story , no irrelevant details to break the rapid flow , making it a taut & racy read.
Even the words she uses to describe their stolen scraps of Love from the tables of hate is poetic
We were soaring together, high and wild among the stars. From way up here, all the arguments against us seemed like mere power and dust. Roman and I were gods together. Immortal together. Floating among stardust. Spinning new universes with our bodies. And when you fall back down to earth, a voice warned, what a pretty tangle of blood and limbs you will make together. No matter the consequences, I told myself, this is worth it. He is worth it.
Please don't go....let them love...let their love peak and touch the skies.

First and foremost kudos to Blake for the deuce picking up to the friggin sentence where book one (the Ace) ended!!!

Drama to the left, angst and intensity to the doggone right! Every single thing that can hinder any progress Roman makes with his woman is shot to hell in a hand basket! If it weren't for bad luck, these two wouldn't have any luck at all! Ya think it's over??!!! It ain't over until THE Tyrell gives his permission for the fat lady to sing!

This story is so hyped on adrenaline you gotta walk away to gain composure! You're yelling and screaming at Roman and his oxygen, Jules, to "look out", "run" and my fave, "don't answer the door because it's ___________ "!! How do I know? How will you know? BECAUSE the intensity is so crazy that you've cheated by skipping a few pages to see what's gonna happen so you can warn them! AS IF!!! I've never been so frustrated than with these two! I could have saved Roman and Jules a whole lot of pain if they would have listened to me! Crazy, huh??!! It's the book I promise! This story will suck you in and hold you hostage unto the very end! You're a referee in a game you had no idea you were playing! I'm a wreck, I'm exhausted, and I've never felt more alive!

Bring on the tre! The final installment in this trilogy is gonna be crazy!

Five stars!

Agghhhhh I need book three ASAP!

Once again. All I really will say is if you like a dark gritty city mafia retelling of Romeo and Juliet then you should definitely read this series!

The sexual tension between Roman and Julianna is off the charts. I kept yelling my head they just needed to admit their feelings for each other, and get it on again! Haha. This is a really good read. The star-crossed lovers plot isn't really anything new, but the writing is good and the story keeps you turning pages. I still don't know if Roman is good or bad, or if these two will have the same fate as their inspiration... only the next book will tell!

Holy moly 😯 What a rollercoaster of emotions!

Roman is so back and forth that there are parts where I’m genuinely curious what goes on in his head. Then we get his POV and it all makes sense. Poor dude. I hope he figures himself out in the next book.. before it’s too late.

"You know," the Father continued, "she could be good for you."
I almost choked on my own tongue. "I'd be the end of her. Don't you remember who my family is? I'm a danger to her just by wanting her, just by thinking about her, by breathing her name out loud."

Well, hot damn! When you think the book can't get any better and bam! it proves you wrong. This book was everything I looked in a book angst, romance, love twist, anguish, alpha male, a great plot that you don't see coming,  strong-minded heroine, and of course shed tears. If you make my heart squeeze and my eyes watery just know that you've engraved your characters in my heart!

The Scent of Roses is the sequel to Love Sprung from Hate, Dark Romeo #1.

Picking up right from the first's book epic cliffhanger, Sienna Blake gets back into action captivating you from the very first page.
In this book, you'll learn more about both characters. You'll learn what is Roman Tyrell capable of doing for someone he cares about and you'll also see Julianna struggle with what her mind is telling her to do and what her heart is making her do. Consequences are dammed but nonetheless, this helps her become stronger than ever.

Julianna Capulet being the strong-minded heroine she's always has been facing many obstacles in her life as well in her career. Being a detective and only daughter of the Chief of Police makes her an easy target but she manages to pull through and be on top. She's a strong, independent, sassy and beautiful woman that fights for what is right she's the only person that sees Roman as he is a NICE MAN.

I totally fell head over heels with Roman AGAIN! Haha, that man is frustrating, to say the least. But he's protectiveness over Jules is such heartwarming. His personality and the way he expresses himself will gut you but you'll understand why he thinks he's not worth saving when in reality is that, he's the best prize.

description

"I see. You think you can come in and save me. This isn't some stupid high school fantasy. You can't save me. I'm not your prince. I am the monster in this story."

The ordinary push and pull game got stronger that not even Roman could control it.
When Roman lets his guard down and lets his feelings overcome the fear everything starts getting into place despite the warning his best friend Mercutio warned him bout he was ready to overcome his father and start living the life he deserves.

"Give me all of your nights, Julianna," he murmured against my cheek. "Be with me."

description

Let's not forget about the hot best friend that Mercutio has always been and Giovanni Tyrell. Mercutio is the friend you'll want to have by your side at any time of the day. In this book, we will see more of him and I honestly hope Sienna has a story for him, I want to know more about him and what makes him tick!
Giovanni Tyrell, Roman' s father (shivers) Yes that man still gives me the chills!!! He's like a snake, he's preparing his next move but you don't know when he's going to strike.

Overall I absolutely LOVE this book. The bond between Jules and Roman was getting more and more intense that I was gripping the book like it was my lifetime. Every turn of the page I felt as though my heart could not take it. Both the hero and heroine have a deep connection that no matter what happens I know they'll fight for their LOVE. I know Roman would not just give up that easy, but is he really ready? Or his blood name Tyrell be strong enough to ruin this Love and forever be a Forbidden love?

description

"I tried to be good for you, but I can't fake it anymore. I am a Tyrell down to the core."

Wow! I wish I could give it more stars. I need book 3!!!

Man oh man... I devoured this book!! Who needs sleep? (Okay, but on a side note, I really wish I could lay/sit all day and read-but alas, I have to adult, so I can’t do that ugh).

This book continues from where book 1 leaves off. Julianna is in Roman’s home and Abel (aka the dog aka bad guy) is pounding on his door. Roman has to improvise and throw her on his bed, get naked (well, he’s only wearing a towel, so it doesn’t take much for him) and pretend he’s getting busy. Abel buys it without realizing who Julianna is (she’s face down and still wearing a dress, so her face is hidden). He leaves and Roman and Julianna are face-to-face, realizing that they’re on the opposite sides of the law. They are attracted to each other, but they can’t be together. Even though Julianna wants to help him, he knows there are a lot of factors separating them. It doesn’t take away from the raw, visceral, thick chemistry that they have between them. It’s undeniable and a force to be reckoned with.

We see a different side to Roman in this book. He’s vulnerable and broken in certain aspects; I cried when he’s remembering his mother’s death and the effect it continues to have on him. Not everything is black and white- there are so many gray areas and it’s really tested in this book. The things Roman is forced to do are gut-wrenching and horrific. Julianna knows he’s good; he’s not evil like his blood and the media play him out to be. Yes, he’s not completely innocent- especially when he’s forced to endure and live out his father’s expectations. But, he’s disgusted with himself and has a conscience. He’s not happy to do the biddings of his father, but he has to. Even as some of the things that happened are revealed, I wasn’t angry and found myself sympathizing with Roman. If this book wasn’t dual POV, then I probably would’ve judged Roman as the bad guy. He’s no saint, but he’s not the devil either.

The telling signs of an amazing writer (like Sienna Blake) are when I’m completely immersed in a book that time stops moving and I put myself in the characters’ shoes and live in their world. Finding myself justifying death means Sienna Blake is doing a tremendous job detailing the characters lives. The pressures from the world can be so powerful that it changes people, and we see that happening with Roman and Julianna.

I am loving this series! I can’t wait to dive into book 3 and see where the story goes and how everything unfolds. I am INVESTED!

Highly recommended!

REVIEW: ONE MORE BOOK TO GO!!!
"How selfish am I that I could consider ruining her just so I could have her?"

ANOTHER AMAZING RIDE! I am really enjoying this series. I can tell you with it being my first mafia series, it is most definitely holding my interest! This is also the only one that I have ever signed up for because it immediately piqued my interest. I have enjoyed the sarcasm and the wit in Juliana and I have enjoyed the smirk and the aggravatingly sexy, brooding man in Roman.

I loved LOVED the way that Roman took care of things from behind the scenes....he knew he had to protect Juliana and I loved watching his feelings come to light. I REALLY enjoyed this one!! Of course, I am left in limbo because I need the FINAL book.....but man! What a find for me. I seriously am so glad I decided to take the chance on this series.

"I can't get you out of my head. You plague me when I'm awake. You haunt me when I'm asleep."

Roman is just intensely delicious and sigh-worthy DREAMY. I know that's weird to hear, at least it is to me given his family and all, but I remember what he was like with Juliana and how he took care of her, so what I "know" of him, he is most definitely dreamy to me. I loved the way he silently, and not so silently, took care of her. He wanted her so bad and was so worried about corrupting her.

"I wanted to possess her. To own her. Even if it meant I would end her life with my darkness."

Juliana is so strong in her convictions. While I feel she was strong in her mannerisms, her mental war with herself between her heart and her mind was a struggle. She wanted so hard to believe he cared for her, but she fought with herself about it. There was still a lot of inner monologue, but since I kind of expected it, it was easier to get through. Again, wordy, but still very interesting.

Such a good second book in this trilogy....I am very pleasantly surprised. It's hot. It's enticing. There was enough action to push it forward and enough emotion between these two characters to make me pine for more. It's a great storyline and I am excited for the final book!

"What if it wasn't you who darkened her life but she who lightened yours?"

Roman Tyrell & Julianna Capulet

The Prince of Darkness & The Princess of Light.

for·bid·den
[fərˈbidn]
not allowed, banned.

The Scent of Roses picks right up after Love Sprung from Hate. Julianna and Roman have both agreed that they need to stay far away from one another. To keep each-other both alive. But the pull is too strong.... Their love is extraordinary, but fate will once again try to break them apart.

No one knows about their affair, and it's only a matter of time before it blows up in their faces. But Roman is hell bent on protecting his girl. By any means necessary! Julianna knows that he is not like his father, and that she is on his side...... but being with him puts him in grave danger.

Roman is calm, cold, and collected.
Shows no fear and weakness.
Except when Julianna is around.
His Salvation.....
and....
His Doom.......

"You see. You think you can come in and save me. This isn't some stupid high school fantasy. You can't save me. I'm not your prince. I am the monster in this story."

My heart is in pieces. Tears are once again sliding down my cheeks. I have becomes obsessed with Julianna and Roman's forbidden love story. The Scent of Roses is exquisitely heart-wrenching, and absolutely one hundred percent unputdownable! I was captivated from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and fall in love with Julianna and Roman's story.

"Don't mistake me for an angel, Jules. I'm the shadow you run screaming from."

Sienna Blake has ripped my heart out of my chest while it was mid beat and left a big gaping hole!! This emotionally, dramatic, action packed story will be the death of me!! I honestly don’t know if my heart can handle any more. The agony and apprehension will rip you apart while you watch the two star crossed lovers battle all that is against them.

Roman will rule you and then he will ruin you. He is tender, but he can be so unnecessarily cruel. Roman has conceded his fate as the heir to the Tyrell empire. He knows he should stay away from Julianna for both their safety but he is finding it difficult to do so. At the same time he is sending her mixed signals as to what he wants.

The sheer reality of their differences and their forbidden love is ever present. It is never more clear than one fateful night when Julianna gets a glimpse into what Roman’s life has now become.

Today she would be solving a crime. Today I would be committing one.

Finally the two confess their feelings and in unspoken terms agree to fight to survive the odds that are stacked against them.

I didn’t deserve her. But I was a selfish, selfish man. I would keep her. Hold her tight. For as long as I could. Until the day she figured it out and she ended me.

The ending had me feeling an anxiety that settled in my chest and had me clinging to my kindle crying out in despair for the ill-fated couple!! Damn you Miss Blake!! I need book 3 Hanging in the Stars like I need air!!

I was so excited for this book and it was AMAZING!!
The piling up of secrets, danger, and mystery really has me on the edge of my seat and I'm so anxious for the next book!

This is not a standalone within a series, you've gotta read them all, but it will be totally worth it to invest your time, because this is a goodie! The dynamics between all of these characters give them all such a clear voice and it's so easy to visualize them all. I feel like I'm watching a movie as I read, which rarely happens for me that easily. The characters are complex and wound up in a web of lies that keep you guessing and hoping. The pressure is really building for Roman and Julianna, because they both are in a dangerous and delicate position within both their families, and each other's. Will their devotion to each other win out, or will the pressures of family and familial responsibility rule their futures?

This book picks up where book 1 left off. And holy moly, does Sienna know how to keep you in the ledge!

Will they throw caution to the wind and give in to their ever increasing attraction? Or will they be sensible and stay away from each other?

I can’t say much because it will give it away. But READ THIS SERIES!! I am so anxious for book 3. I’m so curious how it ends! And I can only pray it’s not like the true Romeo and Juliette.

Roman and Julianna's sexy and emotionally compelling story continues with The Scent of Roses, a book packed with suspense, drama, and danger. Sienna Blake knows how to weave a thrilling storyline and does so flawlessly with this book. A forbidden attraction reaches new levels of danger in Roman and Julianna's passionate and intriguing story.

"I'm not your prince. I am the monster in this story and you'd do well to never forget that."

Picking up right where book 1 left off, Roman and Julianna find themselves fighting each other and themselves as they try to navigate their feelings and the circumstances surrounding them. Caught on opposite sides of a brutal battle, they each find themselves learning that the gray areas far outweigh the black and white. I am a huge fan of mafia themed romances, and the author does a great job showing the distinction between the two opposing sides, doing so with realism and finesse. I loved how well she showed Julianna and Roman being pulled in different directions. The emotion and angst was at a all time high in this book and I love the depth that was shown with both characters.

"I wanted to posses her. To own her. I wanted to soak myself into her soul, so deep she'd never get me out."

The tension between two of them was so raw, so palpable, that I was practically itching for the scenes that brought them face to face. Those scenes were so well written and well executed, capturing the deep connection between the two characters, and the sizzling sexual chemistry that neither could ignore. The back and forth between Roman and Julianna never got dull, nor did it feel overdone.

"We were too intense, too much fire and lightning, too much under each other's skin. He was daring me to come out of the shelter and dance to the beat of our thunder. I wasn't sure I'd live through it."

Blake wove a well-balanced story that will leave the reader eagerly awaiting the final book. It is dark without being too dark, and the romantic and suspense elements are equally captivating. I am eagerly anticipating getting my hands on the final book in this trilogy, which is sure to be a fantastic conclusion.

"Our eyes met. The air snapped with tension. All at once I felt like I might suddenly take flight, my chest and stomach both fluttering like frantic doves. And yet, I felt like I was drowning, a liquid heat rushing up to swallow me whole."

Sienna's follow up to Love Sprung From Hate has even surpassed its predecessor! We get to see further into both Roman Jules' lives and character, both the good and the bad. The strengths and the vulnerabilities. And, of course, the intense passion between them.

The Scent of Roses picks up right where we left off in Love Sprung From Hate, and Abel continues in this book to be someone you truly can't stand. Even seeing his name on the page makes my skin crawl. Roman's father is barely any better, and we start to learn the depth of his depravity in this book.

Jules and Roman's connection is so strong it cannot be denied, even though both of them fight it with everything they have at times. Like moths to the flame, their fates circle around each other and pull them in, even if it's to their doom in the end. They will either soar or burn.

This book is sexy and hot, yet full of tension and struggle. It draws you into their world, makes you part of it, and you're going to go with them down the rabbit hole. And... you'll go willingly wherever it leads because you love these two and cannot pull yourself away from them. You'll laugh, you might cry, maybe even scream, but you'll go along. It's the sign of a great book by a great author that you can't pull yourself away. I literally didn't put this down until it was finished. Do yourself a favor and read it (after Love Sprung From Hate of course)!

I received an eARC of this book in return for a fair and honest review. It in no way impacted my thoughts on the book or the review I've given.

This second instalment picks up right where it left off in the first one. The pace is consistent and doesn't give any reprieve.

Roman and Julianna continue to struggle with their feelings. Roman is convinced that he is not worthy of Julianna. She can see the good in him but, being a Capulet puts her in a position where she could lose everything and everyone if she is not careful. They try to stay away from each other but, it only takes a look or a touch for the fire to be ignited between them. Whenever they give in to this undeniable attraction, trouble follows.

Roman is torn between his family obligations and the love of his life. Going against his father could cost them their lives. There are so many obstacles that they don't know whether they are coming or going. When Roman finds himself being pulled further into his father's world, he comes to a decision which could so easily backfire. Besides, it's not the easiest solution! Julianna is more confused than ever with the mix messages.

This story is heartbreaking and frustrating. The rivalry and hate between the Tyrells and the Capulets are indisputable and the young starcrossed lovers are stuck in the middle. This version of Romeo and Juliet is emotionally fierce and fiery. My heart sank after what transpired at the end. There is no telling on what to expect next. I am looking forward to the grand finale and I do hope that the fates will look favourably on this beautiful young couple.

I received a complimentary eARC and the views expressed are my personal opinion.

The Scent of Roses (Dark Romeo, #2)
By: Sienna Blake
4.5 Stars

Picking up right where we left off in Love Sprung from Hate (Dark Romeo, #1), Roman and Julianna have no one on their side but themselves. But the love they have for each other makes them grow stronger!

In this story, the tangled web gets woven tighter… There is no one who you can truly trust. Whether it be family, co-workers, friends, strangers… It seems like everyone is pitted against Roman and Julianna becoming a couple.

Julianna being a newbie detective wants to close her first case. In the interrogation room, SPARKS fly and a very hot round of questioning takes place. But how much longer can Julianna keep lying to the ones she loves for the one she truly loves. When will the walls come crashing down from her covering every step she takes.

Roman is truly a Tyrell—a bloodthirsty monster. This is what he keeps telling himself to save the one he could not. Will he be able to take over the family business and then take it all down for the one who has made him feel the love he truly deserves?

Can Not Wait for Hanging in the Stars (Dark Romeo, #3) coming August 10th!!!

Original Review @ Naomi’s Reading Palace

After how Love Sprung from Hate ended, I have been excited to get my hands on the next book in the Dark Romeo series, to see if Roman and Julianna would be able to get themselves out of the situation they were in. It was exciting, intense and just as sizzling as the first book in the series.

I liked seeing more to Romans life, and that Julianna was able to get to know Roman better as well. She also found herself in a situation that threatened her life that she needed to be rescued from. But each of these moments brought them closer. I liked seeing their relationship grow, but there was always something that would tear them apart. I know these two belong together, but the dangers and circumstances tore them apart.

I felt that this book had that middle book syndrome; it was a little back and forth, where they wanted to act on their feelings, did so, and then would pull back. The connection was definitely there, enough to say that their feelings were solidifying, but the dangers always threw them into jeopardy. I am keen to see where things will go to from here, though, and cannot wait for the final book!

Roman and Julianna are intense, fire and lightning, cannot get out from under each other’s skin. It is a push-pull/hot-cold relationship as they know the danger of being together. They fight each other as well as themselves trying to stay away from each other in this forbidden romance. So far, their secret affair is safe, but you have the sense that something is coming and it’s not good. Each time Julianna tries to convince him that she is on his side, knows that he is not like his father, she puts him in danger. Well-developed characters written so you feel what they’re feeling. Another intense, sexy, suspenseful read in the Dark Romeo series leaves you eager for the final book in this trilogy. Story continues in Hanging in the Stars out August 10th.
Note: This is book 2 of a continuing story. You need to read book 1, Love Sprung from Hate prior to reading this.

The drama is at full throttle in this instalment of Roman and Jules epic story, if this was a tv show it would be one of those huge lavish productions.
This is a story you get invested in you really can't help diving straight into all the drama and angst. It's a drama filled story that has you on the edge of your seat at times I was screaming at both Jules and Roman in frustration. As a reader we are in a unique position that we can see what's happening that they don't and even when I was shouting at them not to do something they didn't listen. Why didn't they listen?
There is so much going on I this book it's like a game of cat and mouse but I'm still not entirely sure who's catching who. I'm going to be counting down the days till book three.

It has been a while since I have binged a series, but Sienna has pulled me in and I can't stop until I find out how Roman and Jules story ends! The Scent of Roses starts off right where I was left hanging from that major cliffhanger in book 1, and continues on the suspenseful and thrilling ride through Roman and Jules relationship. I loved seeing how their bond is growing stronger and their chemistry will set your kindle on fire. There are so many twists and turns, hot and cold, that I didn't know what was going to happen next. I was on the tip of toes through all of the happiness, sadness, angst, drama and suspense that I couldn't put the book down. If you are looking for an intense and attention grabbing series just scroll on up and one click these awesome books! I'm very anxious for Hanging in the Stars. Brava Sienna, Please meet your new stalker :)

The Scent of Roses will having you hanging off the edge of your seat!

Roman is still one badass book boyfriend. In this book he is a bit scary. He sold his sold to the devil in book one and now the devil I collecting the debit.

He is torn and his father's business is getting into his head. I for one still love and adore this character. He is so sweet and his eyes are all about Juliana.

Now Juliana is fierce! If I was getting as much whiplash as she is I would lose my mind!

Overall this series is genius and I can't wait to get my hands on book three.

P.S. the ending of this book made me punch my husband in the arm, just for being a man. Please don't judge me. This book brings out my passionate side

I volunteered to read an arc of this book. No form of payment was received.

This continues right where book 1 Love Sprung From Hate left off. You need to read that before this one.

The chemistry between Roman and Julianna is off the charts. There is so much to this story and I don't want to give anything away.

This is a must read book filled with drama, violence and some really hot sex scenes. One click this when it releases!

I so can't wait for the last book in this series to see what happens next

Hold on tight because this story will take you for a ride!!! The suspense, the intensity, and the fast pace will keep you on the edge of your seat with your heart beating so fast that you need to put it down to try and catch your breath but let me tell you......you won't be able to put it down. The second you even think about putting it down, you realize that you need to know what happens next more. The level of suspense and intensity of suspense will make you feel as though you have read a full length novel when you are done and still begging for more.

The Scent of Roses is book two in the Dark Romeo series. It begins at the end of book one and continues to tell the story of our star crossed lovers.

It answers questions and hides truths but if you pay attention you may just know exactly what's going on. My conspiracy theories are all firmly in the I Know...but let's see space. I love trying to figure it out before the reveal.

I also have a crush on Roman but would love to b!tch slap him. Just saying...

I can't wait to see what's in store for me in book three.

Yowza! Book 2 starts off right where book one left us..... the uninvited guest knocking on the door. My anxiety level was off the charts while reading this book. Blake's writing makes you physically feel the emotional torment Roman and Juliana are experiencing.
When Roman is asked how he would describe "his woman", his reply was "She dims even the stars".... SWOON! I'm done y'all! Roman Tyrell knows all the right words and when to say them. I can not wait to get ahold of book 3!
