Pulse pounding story which takes you on a high speed car chase like thrill. I never ever put the book down, even for a minute.
It's that engrossing !!
Books 1 & 2 laid ground , created the backdrop for this perfect story about imperfect people. Roman and Juliana , who have stood every trial and test for their love...what if they are Ill fated like their literary counterparts?! **gasp** . I cried many times reading the story because a love so true and selfless shouldn't die ....should it?!
The truth was, I had fallen in love with Roman Tyrell and I didn’t know how to crawl out of love. Every time it felt like I had made progress, I would be reminded of him and I’d slide right back down. It was an irreversible love. An unbreakable love. Completely unconditional. Beautiful and terrible all at once.We were all to blame for creating a perfect storm resulting in two deaths. Even me.
My heart is still heavy and laden with so many emotions this story has put me through...
I loved the story, the flawed characters, the hopeless happenstances and tragic karmas.
Reminded me of a story I read once , where a couple so deeply in love sacrificed their precious possessions to buy gifts for each other. The boy sells his guitar to buy her a comb, the girl sells her hair to buy him new chords.
This story has sacrifices similar to that. Selflessness to a fault.
Well done Sienna, creating an unforgettable tale of endless love

Hanging in the Stars (Dark Romeo, #3)

WOW!!! EPIC ending to a Fantastic Series!!!

What Roman and Julianna have gone through was one heck of a roller-coaster ride. One that I would have jumped from before the first downhill decent. But these two have stuck together and it has made their love for each other that much stronger.

“The most terrifying thing any of us can do is to fall in love. Why do you think they call it ‘falling’ in love? The greater the love, the harder we will fight against it.”

How true is that!!! Roman and Julianna have fallen in love and their fight is one that will attempt to bring down an empire. The love these two feel for each other is so strong. That while reading this book, I could feel how much they deserved each other!

Go on, do your worst. Challenge me. I’m ready. I’m not afraid of you anymore. We’ll see who comes out on top.

Roman finally got it thru his thick skull…He is a Tyrell. He does what he wants, when he wants. Now he has come up with a plan… But will that plan work or will that plan backfire and hurt the one he is trying to save!!

Sienna Blake NAILED it with this conclusion!!!

I knew it! I absolutely friggin KNEW IT! I knew this conclusion, this book right here, would rip my soul in two and then what??!!! Who is left to pick up the pieces?!!!

HITS is one of the best conclusions in a trilogy I've read to date. Trust I've read my share of trilogies and this baby right here is now in the top three!

I can't really dive into the story without revealing spoilers but allow me to convey the awesomeness present on every page in the story. From love to loss, from lost to discovery, from betrayal to loyalty, this story has it ALL! The angst, the adrenaline, the drama will assault your emotions in a manner that will befuddle the greatest minds in modern medicine. You're not ready for the Roman and his woman's drama. But don't allow the anxiety to deter you. Remember the three Rs: relax, relate, release. You need this book, heck the entire trilogy in your life!

Five epic stars!!!

Disclaimer: This review is my PERSONAL OPINION of this fabulous book! My personal opinion should have no bearing on your experience with this book or the trilogy!!!!

Now, this was a good finale for this trilogy! Wow, what a rush! It was amazing!!
But I still feel like this one ended in a cliffhanger and I have a lot of questions... Who was Sevastian (or whatever was his name?) It the Bound series related to this trilogy? How could he just "fix" Roman's problem? What is he gonna ask from Roman in the future? How is that just gonna hang over their heads? What happened with Marco, Roman's brother? Is he dead? So many questions.....

Anyway, this was interesting, I don't think I'll ever reread it but I enjoyed it. This third book was definitely my favorite in the trilogy.

The highly anticipated conclusion of this phenomenal series is nothing short of a live wire thriller!
First of all this book cannot be read as a standalone. Books 1 and 2 expertly laid the foundation for the masterpiece that is Hanging in the Stars.
The writing was exceptional, the characters so well developed and likable, I was totally consumed by the story and the story of Roman and Julianna.
Roman and Julianna have proven their loyalty, their love and devotion to each other and to their families.
Whether or not that's enough you'll have to read and find out!

What a series this has been and thus conclusion to Roman and Juliana's story was just perfect.
The first two books introduced us to their dangerous love affair, I grew to love them the more I read but their life together is not easy there is so much against them. This one pulls all the loose ends together to a heart stopping conclusion.
The author gives us a story of lust, passion and an unending love with twists and turns that had me throwing my kindle several times. The danger is a theme that runs throughout all the books in the series and kept me on the edge of my seat.
A fantastic series given an ending the characters deserve.

Way to end this series!

Great wrap up to this three book series. If you like Romeo and Juliet retellings then you definitely need to read these books. They are similar enough that you say, "OH YEAH," but Blake does a great job giving this story it's own identity.

Such a great read!

Oh, my god, this hurts my heart, I was thrown all over the place. I felt all the emotions and my heart was hurting and I just it was so perfect and I cried, and my heart oh my. I read this before Christmas and just thinking about it sends me all over the place and oh so many feelings that I still haven’t gotten over. I don’t think I will get over this for a long time. Especially as you know I did cry.

I loved that Roman stood up for everything, finally, he did. I also loved how he sacrificed everything for Julianna and was willing to lose her just to protect her and make sure she was okay.

Now, this is Romeo and Juliet retelling so if you know the original story you know there is going to be death. Now both Roman and Julianna’s fake death was so heartbreaking and heartwrenching which is when I cried. Like I kind of forgot it was a retelling until Roman “died” and I was like well damn this isn’t going to end happily. I was very depressed in that moment! But you know you go on with these heartbreaking stories. I loved this ending for a Romeo and Juliet story like I prefer this version and it sent me into a spin.

It was a beautiful ending and amazing writing. I can’t actually get this out of my head, I fell in love with this series and you should all definitely pick this up and read! I know for a fact I’ll be picking up more of Sienna Blake’s book. I did really want to go into more detail with all these books but I was trying to keep it spoiler free. If you’ve read these books let me know! If you haven’t, read them.

Hanging in the Stars by Sienna Blake was a thrilling and emotional conclusion to a fantastic series. Roman and Julianna's story was one filled with lust and heartache, secrets and betrayal, and violence and danger. Their tale of undying love and obsession completely enthralled me from start to finish.

"It was an irreversible love. An unbreakable love. Completely unconditional. Beautiful and terrible all at once."

Blake wove some incredible twists and turns in this book, as family secrets came to light and betrayals were exposed. There were shocking moments and emotional moments, and moments where I had no idea where the story would lead. I loved the balance of the romance and suspense elements. They were woven together in a way that was seamless, creating a beautiful yet haunting story that I could not bring myself to put down. Even with everything surrounding Julianna and Roman, all the chaos and violence, these were two people whose souls were inexplicably tied together. Blake did such a great job exploring this connection and making the reader feel it through her words.

"My life began with you. It will end with you."

Fans of romantic suspense will love this story. It has drama, intrigue, humor, twists and turns, and a beautiful love story that will stay with you long after you've finished reading.

“He’s not scared of you.”Nora let out a sigh. “The most terrifying thing any of us can do is to fall in love. Why do you think they call it ‘falling’in love? The greater the love, the harder we will fight against it.”

Words of wisdom in the truest fashion. This is my favorite quote (hands down) we gots to LOVE Nora right?

Hanging in the Stars is the Finale to the Dark Romeo trilogy and let me tell you Sienna Blake does not dissapoints.

She has become one of my top favorite Authors and a one-click. Her writing is BEAUTIFUL, Intense and Descriptive that she'll make you feel exactly how the characters are feeling. Every tear they shed I did myself, every cuss word I cussed, in every betrayal revealed I felt my heart squeeze, in every lie revealed I felt the ping in my chest and in every intense moment I was sitting on the edge of my seat holding the book like it would give me some sort of relieved. Phew! I'm Alive! I didn't think I was going to survive this book haha Sienna provided us with some angsty moments, some intense moments and some steamy moments.

We have learned through out the books that Julianna Capulet is a strong, independent, sassy and beautiful woman that can hold her own. Or so we thought, in this book she's going to experience many different emotions some good and some really bad. Her LOVE for Roman is so unbelievably beautiful that you just wished you had that kind of love. She'll soon learn what LOVE will make you do... say... think things that you know she'll never in her right mind do.

“I don’t want to live without you. I tried but I can’t. I’m done trying,” I said, repeating words he once said to me."

Roman Tyrell (double sighs) is one of my top favorite Hero's, Yes he's a Tyrell and mafia prince but we can't judge someone without knowing them right? Under all that strong facade we see a soft side making him the man that he is. Roman had a life planned but sometimes life gets in the way and those plans go to pieces. He only has one choice LOVE or FAMILY?

"It was a kiss made of stars and light. Of gunpowder and sparks. A kiss that stirred up a lost hope as fragile as snowflakes. We kissed for what had ended and for what was only just beginning."

Overall I absolutely LOVE this book with all my damn heart. I want to write more but I'm scared I'll give spoilers! Both characters will experience grieve and forgiveness. Love, Betrayal, Loyalty, Lies, is what you'll experience through out the book. This has been the BEST FUCKING TRILOGY I'VE READ! OMG, you just gotta love Roman and Julianna I'm glad the author took the step to write us this amazing books!! Jules and Roman will forever be engraved in my heart!!
Before I finished here let me ask you, Are you brave enough to finish the Romeo Trilogy? Do you think Roman and Julianna are brave enough to have an HEA or Shakespeare’s curse befall our star-crossed lovers?

"The only question you need to ask yourself is…how much do you love him?”“What does love have to do with anything?” “Love has everything to do with everything"

Most are familiar with the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. It's one of the most tragic love stories every written. True soulmates, that felt an instant connection that bound them heart and soul only to be ripped apart by their families because of a long time feud that had been around long before they were. Many authors retell this story with their own unique spin on the characters and story line and what Sienna Blake put down on paper was one of the best versions I've come across.

Julianna Capulet is an officer of the law, daughter to the Chief of Police and has lived her life striving to follow in her father's footsteps and make him proud. Roman Tyrell is the reluctant heir to the Tyrell empire. Born into a family that has controlled Verona's underground for years. Raised by a father with a heavy hand, all he's ever wanted was to get away and have nothing to do with any of it.

For Jules and Roman, one night together changed their fates and bound them forever.

The Dark Romeo Trilogy follows their story through the insane betrayals, questions in loyalties and tested love.

This trilogy was a perfect blend of old and new, a classic with a modern twist, the light and the dark. Sienna Blake wrote the story in a way that felt so familiar yet completely different all at the same time. Even as I read through the conclusion, I riveted with how the story unfolded and absolutely blown away. I highly recommend the story as it's the best I've read from this author, so far. A definite must have for you reading collection.

FAVORITE QUOTES:
I had fallen in love with Roman Tyrell and I didn't know how to crawl out of love.

There could never be a world where the two men I loved most walked on either side of me. In turning to one, I rejected the other. In loving one, I hurt the other. I could not have them both.

"What does love have to do with anything?"
"Love has everything to do with everything."

When he slid inside me, we lost ourselves in each other, then we found ourselves. Rich where we were meant to be.

3.5 stars- FTB scenes and speedy resolutions

Man… I put off reading this because I was so in love with books 1 and 2 and I didn’t want this journey to end. Then, I come across FTB scenes and quickly resolved complications 😐. What happened to the steam? 😫

The book continues from where book 2 leaves off- which is when Roman tells Julianna that they can’t be together, he’s a bad guy, and he’s marrying Rosaline. He confesses his involvement in killing her almost-r@p!st and he makes it seem like all these reasons are why they shouldn’t be together. Julianna is quick to defend his choices, but Roman doesn’t listen and leaves her.

Of course, there are outside factors preventing them from being together- the biggest ones being their fathers. Roman is a sweet antihero whose hands have been forced to do things he didn’t want to do. He uncovers many truths about his father that puts him in more of a negative light- especially when it comes to the past that’s affected both him and Julianna. We also see the deaths of two dear people; obviously it’s related to the play, but it still hurt to read.

Being an English teacher that has taught Romeo and Juliet for years, I appreciated the similarities to the play without the tragic ending (duh- this ends in an HEA). The ending came really fast and the book ends way sooner, in the 80s. Maybe I need to read the first two books again, but I felt like there was a lot more detail in those books than in this one. I still enjoyed it tremendously, but I was sad to see that we got fade-to-black scenes and quick resolutions to the many conflicts.

Overall, I enjoyed it, but not as much as I originally thought I was going to 😐.

⚠️safety squad⚠️
-no cheating/omd/owd
-the H is “engaged” to ow but he doesn’t touch her. She tries to seduce/touch him, but he quickly runs away from her
-suicidal thoughts and “attempt” (think Juliet from Romeo and Juliet)
-people get killed/die

"If the love is strong enough, it will survive anything."

I can't believe this is the end for Roman and Julianna's epic love story. I was on the edge of my seat biting my nails, praying that these two would get the happy ending they deserve.

...Julianna. My perfect Julianna, her honey-hair and angel's soul shining brightly in my mind. My heart twisted with regret most for her.

I'm sorry I hurt you.
I'm sorry I lied.
I'm sorry I couldn't deserve you.

With this being the end, deadly secrets are revealed. One's that will shatter Roman and Julianna's world. No one is safe, heads are turning, keeping your friends close but enemies closer seems rather fitting for Hanging in the Stars.

Death, Destruction, Chaos.

Roman will do whatever it takes for Julianna to be happy.....safe....even from himself.

"We were finally on the two sides we were meant to be on. "

I don't think I have ever cried as much as I have for the Dark Romeo series. My heart hurts so much thinking about what Roman and Julianna had to go through to stay together. Even when fate wanted them apart.....they fought hard but loved harder.

Get ready for the epic conclusion.
To Julianna and her Roman.

I highly recommend reading this emotional, heart-wrenching, angsty tale. This is a story that you will never forget. A story that will forever stay with you.

Thank you Sienna for making my heart weep. all the tears I shed, me wanting to throw my tablet across the room.....it was all worth it. Can't wait to see what comes next.

Hanging in the Stars is the final book in the Dark Romeo trilogy.  I have LOVED this entire series and found myself impatiently waiting for each new installment!

After book one I was HOOKED on Sienna Blake.  Every book she puts out after reading this series will be mine.  MINE! About 3/4 of the way through I thought, just maybe, I was going to have to dislike Sienna forever.  But it's all good! AMAZING ending to this series!

Giving reviews for series where you have to read the books in order, is difficult for me.  I never want to give anything away and honestly not knowing was half of the greatness of this series for me.  Reading time for this installment was a little over 4 hours.  You could totally binge this entire series in a weekend.

The darkness of this series called to me and delivered what I needed.  So many moments of either crying or having a racing heart really made this series for me.  I don't think I had anything figured out until it happened.  I also loved that it was fashioned after Romeo and Juliet.

Seriously, read this series.  READ IT!  You will love it from start to finish and will be addicted to this author going forward.

5 stars is NOT ENOUGH for this book, this series or this author!  But since that is all I have, that is what I'm giving!

This was amazing and I am super grateful to Sienna Blake for letting me read and review for it!

Hanging in the Stars will have you riding tidal waves of emotions leaving you satisfyingly drained at the end. I went into sudden cardiac arrest where my heart stopped three times throughout this story and I needed resuscitation. I will be sending Sienna my ambulance bill!! The anticipation to know the outcome, held me with bated breath as I flipped those kindle pages faster than Aunt Jemima can flip flapjacks.

The Dark Romeo trilogy mirrors Shakespeare’s most famous love story. There are so many easily apparent similarities, from the character’s names and their traits, to the many significant moments and scenes. This reproduction of such a vintage classic is phenomenal and extremely noteworthy.

The whole story focuses on romantic love, and how that love is a violent, ecstatic overpowering force that replaces all other values, loyalties, and emotions. Roman and Julianna are driven to defy their entire social world, and rebel against their families and heritage. Hanging in the Stars illustrates the chaos and passion of being in love, and combining love, violence, death, and family into a tragically heart rending romance.

The conclusion is a theatrical and astonishing finale, and is completely unexpected, but is so befitting of this seemingly hopeless love story!!! The Dark Romeo trilogy is a one click trifecta!!

“It was an irreversible love. An unbreakable love. Completely unconditional. Beautiful and terrible all at once.”
Hanging in the Stars is a fantastic finale to the Dark Romeo series. The series covers a two-year span in the forbidden love of Roman and Julianna. They had been pushing and pulling against their feelings towards each other, and falling in love. They were fighting against each other because they weren’t meant to be together. From love, loss, heartbreak, betrayal, secrets, loyalty, violence, and danger - this story has it ALL! Sienna Blake takes you on a roller-coaster ride for this conclusion. Hanging in the Stars is fast paced, thrilling, emotional read. As in the previous two books, the characters are well-developed and written so you feel what they’re feeling. Another intense, suspenseful read. The series was the first I have read from Sienna and I will definitely check out her other books.
Note: This is book 3 of a continuing story. You need to read the first two books, Love Sprung from Hate and The Scent of Roses, prior to reading this.

Hanging in the Stars is a whirlwind of emotions. An epic conclusion to the Dark Romeo series that I'm almost sad it's over. At one point I had to put the book down and walk away, I was so upset with the turn the book had taken. But Sienna definitely redeemed herself.

I really loved the connection I developed with Roman and Jules from Love Sprung from Hate that just continued to build until now. I didn't want to let them go. Their connection and chemistry just drew me into the story with them, I was there living and experiencing everything they were. Roman really is the perfect book boyfriend.
"My life began with you. It will end with you." Sigh. How is that not perfect?!?

This series was a great balance of suspense and romance. It is a sexy, thrilling, tantalizing story full of love, heartache, violence, danger, loyalty, secrets and betrayal. A beautiful story that will leave you with a book hangover for days.

After much anticipation, I finally got my hands on this book and boy was it worth the wait. Once I started this book I could not put it down! This is book #3 in a series and they must be read in order.

While the theme of Romeo and Juliet exists through this epic series, it is not as predictable as you may think and I was shocked by how emotional and teary-eyed many of the moments made me. That's quite something because I don't cry easily! Roman and Julianna go through so much while having to protect themselves and each other from their own feuding families. Their love for each other is fierce and undeniable. The danger, angst, and suspense in this book had me biting my nails and fearing to read onward!

I have already recommended this series to my review team members that haven't read it and also my reader friends! I can't wait to see what Sienna has for us next!!!

Oh man, if you thought that this final installment of the Dark Romeo series was going to appease your emotions, just wait!! There was a point in the story where I literally think I stopped breathing for a few pages! Roman and Julianna have endured so much in their quest to finally be together, and in "Hanging in the Stars," it definitely doesn't get much easier for them. But one must fight for what one truly wants, right? And that they do!
This story has it all---your emotions will be taken on the most turbulent roller coaster ride of your life! Betrayal, angst, love, and perseverance are all wrapped up in one beautiful story that will leave you wanting more! Romeo and Juliet, move over, because Roman and Julianna want their epic ending too!!

Intense and mind blowing, Hanging in the Stars, gives us the end of a trilogy that is absolutely incredible!

Roman and Julianna are so in love that hurts. Their love will make powerful men fall by their feet. Their fate was hanging in the stars indeed.
They will get through so much. Pain. Fear. Hope. But in the end they will conquer their own world!

There are a lot of emotional scenes in this story, some I wasn't expecting and shocked me a lot. The twists are great and give it an angsty feel that will make you read it in one sitting!

Absolutely amazing!

Completely stunning, suspenseful, and perfect ending to this story!!! Definitely a must read. At every twist and turn I was holding my breath, heart beating fast so anxious to see how it was all going to play out. The characters are perfect. They make you want to root for them and make you feel what they feel. I honestly couldn't think of a more perfect way to read a modern twist on this timeless classic.

Y'all, this series is one of the best damn series I've read in 2017! The conclusion to the series nearly broke me. I had to walk away a couple of times to catch my breath and get myself together. Though I'm sad to see it end, I couldn't ask for a better ending.
