Throughout the book the author questions the “rat race” and advocates for more collaborative and humane workplaces — yet never addresses the male privilege (including his own) that underpins our 40-plus-hour workweek (and, like, everything else about work).

Uneven translation with lots of awkward wording and some blatant errors (I read the ebook version). Many instances of easily avoidable gendered language, yuck.

Some chapters seem to be meant for people who’ve never had a formal job interview, while others are for more senior folks who might be having a mid-career crisis.

So, it’s a mishmash with nuggets of good advice.

Such a great book and page turner. Many famous books were mentioned, together with personal experiences. When one of the three questions mentioned - Do you learn anything new today? I definitely learned something new by reading this book. It can also relate to our personal experience as in the career path : where about our compass and how about notice signals of the radar? Everybody should read the book.

Imagine sitting down with a wise HR executive, and having him tell you stories from his decades of experience while he offers you heartfelt advice on your career and life. That's what this felt like, and in the most wonderful way.
