Carl from New York and Clare from London have a romance - in their letters that they send each other over the pond. Soon it becomes more than just a platonic friendship. The logical consequence is to finally meet each other. But they're both unsure: will they be disappointed or overly happy? And are they really the person they pretend to be?

I liked the fact that the book wasn't over after that first meeting. There was more to come, some more twists - so that it didn't exactly go the way the reader might have expected it. Then again, final ending was the way I wanted it since the middle of the book.
