Three Dummies in a Dinghy

Rate this book
Three Dummies in a Dinghy is the third instalment of the Stories of Life series.

In it, ordinary people share their extraordinary stories of faith and life. Some tales are humourous, others are entertaining and upbeat. But not all are happy stories. Many writers describe how they were found by a loving God in the midst of doubts and great suffering, and the circumstances don’t always get easier. But the message still comes through loud and clear that God is faithful, near and active in the lives of ordinary people.

We discover that there are unsung heroes of all kinds among us. With their encouragement we can open our eyes a little wider, see more clearly, and trust more deeply in the boundless kindness of our Lord.

An inspiring collection of true short stories. Some comments on some of them.

An Angel To Watch Over Them - An amazing story of God’s care and protection. Gave me chills of the good kind.

A Realisation - Thought-provoking. How one mum’s action one night changed the spiritual direction of her son. I want to do this in my family too.

Miracle - a miraculous story that shows God’s care for one of his own.

Stolen But Not Robbed - the kind of story that shows God is not only awesome but he has a sense of humor.

Twenty-one Days - I could definitely relate to this - both the situation and the unexpected God given peace

Epiphany in Fiji is especially moving.

*Disclaimer - I won’t review my own story in this!

This is a wonderfully eclectic collection of real-life experiences from a broad range of writers sketching their encounters with God. I am delighted to be one of the authors selected for inclusion.

I loved this book of short true-life faith stories. The fact that I and a friend contributed to this collection may also have something to do with loving this too. Full of encouraging and uplifting stories, this is a great book to be able to give to friends and relatives.
