Great book
Ellie's husband is up for reelection but he suddenly gets a call. Drop out of the election or someone you love will die. When a car goes through the pizzeria killing a man can they find the killer before the election results come in. A fast paced story with great characters and a great storyline. It will keep you turning the pages till the end.

Another fabulous book by Patti Benning. Russell is in the middle of his campaign for re-election to sheriff when he gets a threatening phone call. It is wonderful having a book with a lot of the focus on Russell. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Please let it be soon! 😃

Between running her successful pizzeria and helping her new husband with his re-election campaign for sheriff, Ellie Pacelli Ward has her hands full. When Russell receives threats against his family if he doesn't drop out of the race, Ellie persuades him to hold off while they try to track down the person sending the threats. Things get even tenser when a car is driven thru the front window of Ellie's pizzeria, killing an innocent customer. Can they figure out what is happening before someone else is hurt or killed?
This series continues to offer wonderfully developed characters, great backgrounds and twisted murder plots that will keep you guessing right to the end. Each book has enough background that you can them in any order but they really sizzle when read in order, as you see the characters and storylines develop. Cozy fans will enjoy these quick, relaxing reads that leave you ready to read the next one in the series!

The election for Sheriff is in a few days. Someone tried to kill Ellie and threatened Russell's entire family forcing him to withdraw his name from the ballot. Is his family going to be safe and is his days as sheriff over? Great quick read.

Great story.
I am so glad to see the new Papa Pacelli book out. I loved the plot. The twist and turns were really great. It sure kept me guessing. Thank you for a great one.

What a nail biter
WOW this was was full of suspense. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Couldn't read this one fast enough.

I love this series! The stories never get old and reading the stories puts you right there will Elli, Russell and Nonna. Can't wait for more.

This series never disappoints! Great characters, storylines that keep you guessing, and small town values are the glue that makes this story a great addition to the series.

As Ellie is talking with a customer a car drives through the front window killing one of her customers. Is this related to the threatening phone call?
Will Elli and Russel find the killer in time or will he step down to protect his family?

Wow, Russell is the one that got in the mix of things this time when it came time for re-election for the sheriff's job.
Ellie got caught in the cross fire, there was a big mess for them to deal with and it put the family on high alert, Russell had plenty of protection for them.
What people will do to win.
You won't be disappointed in this book. I can't wait for the next book.
