I read this as part of a course on international humanitarian law. It was a great complement to the course to provide a good basic knowledge of IHL, what it encompasses, how is applied, and how it was created.

Excellent introduction to IHL. First came across in preparing for the ICRC's IHL Moot Court, and then read as part of Universiteit Leiden's IHL course. Really enjoyed all of the resources provided at the end of each chapter.
