What a lasting impression for a first time read for Ms Ferris. With the initial first few chapters under my belt, and the hard hitting impact from Rivals storyline as well as the beautifully designed characters, I found myself completely absorbed and addicted from cover to cover. To me, that displays true talent and creativity by Ms. Ferris. This storyline is filled with drama, mob genre plot; crime boss versus crime boss. Bryce is the son of one Boss, and has been given one task. Assassinate the Daughter of the rival Boss. Natalie, the target, actually becomes Bryce's 'one and only'. How can they possibly survive and flourish as a couple, when everything is set against them from the get-go? Follow their incredible journey together to see for yourself just how this pans out.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of Rivals in exchange for my honest/voluntarily given opinion and would most definitely read her work again. Very impressed overall and I highly recommend reading this book.

ONE DELIGHTFUL ADVENTURE!!!
Talk about riding on the edge. One action packed, fast paced, hard hitting, pulse racing, heart pounding, nailbiting, nerve racking, page turning, smooth flowing read that's as riveting as it is captivating. A whirlwind of emotions and events that build the drama, intrigue, danger and suspense while tension spirals. So many twists and turns, unpredictable surprises around every corner make for one thrilling experience. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. Kayla's insight and imagination give each character depth with a vivid overview that's easy to relate and bond with. The scenes are so graphically detailed it's easy to picture each scenario as they play off one another in perfect balance. Kayla did a remarkable job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Great job Kayla, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Rivals, written by author, Kayla Ferris is an intense mob genre story where is crime boss against crime boss. It's where the son, Bryce of one boss is brought in to assassinate the daughter, Natalie, of the rival boss. Instead they fall in love. How are they going to survive? How much carnage will result? They will have to go on the run. As it turns out they will have a most unlikely ally and Bryce will end up the an unlikely profession.
I'm recommending this book despite the length. Stay with it (although, to be honest, I did skip a few paragraphs here and there). I liked the characters and how some of them changed, but some didn't and remained stuck, which they needed to be. Enjoy!

This was my first read by Kayla Ferris but definitely won't be my last. This was an intense read about rival mob families. Bryce works for his father a mobster. He is determined to move up in the ranks. His next assignment however, is to kill the daughter of rival mobster Victor Balducci. You do not question Bryce's dad- you simply doing as you are told. Things only get more interesting when Natalie and Bryce fall in love. If you are looking for an intense and powerful book that will keep you hooked to the last page, then this book is for you!!! 5 stars!!!!!!

This is the first time I have read a book by this author, this story is fast paced, exciting and intense Bryce is the son of a mob boss and has been given the task of killing a rival boss's daughter but when he sees Natalie he falls for her and defies his dad. Can he protect her and himself. This is a great read.

Rivals is the mafia version of Romeo and Juliet. Children of rival mobs, Bryce and Natalie fall in love after he is sent to kill her. This story is packed with intense drama and high heat levels. It’s defintely not set in Shakespeares time! If you like mafia romance, this book is perfect for you. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.

Bryce and Natalie had similar childhoods, but Bryce followed his dad into becoming a mob member and Natalie disowned her dad for being a mob member. When Stephan Bruce’s dad ordered him to murder Natalie everything changed for him once he saw her photo. This was a thrilling storyline which had you on the edge of your seat. Well done. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

High intensity that will keep you on your toes. These two are fighting for their lives and end up in a whole new life they never expected. Fantastic read no one will want to miss! I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

Wow! This is an epic mob romance! IT's mob boss against mob boss with the victim that Bryce can't kill, or get out of his mind! This is one of those pulse pounding, suspenseful stories that is hard to put down once you start!

Bryce is supposed to kill Natalie but will he save her instead? That is a question you will get answered after you read the book. Bryce is a mobsters son whose task is to kill a rivals daughter but will he be able to go through with it?? This is a fast paced book with good characters.

Couldn't get enough of Natalie & Bryce. Wow. This one moves at a fast pace & action packed to keep you on the edge of your seat. I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review for a copy of the book.

Wow, what a great book. Not usually into this type of story, but kept me intrigued throughout the whole book. Bryce and Natalie are a definite match made for each other.
