Cora and Finn continue their journey to Texas where they must meet Javier Martin, el tío de Cora. But first they stop at Finn’s cabin to rest and there is where Lars , Finn’s partner, best friend and lover meets them.
Lars isn’t much of a fan of Cora at first as he sees that his friend has lost his mind over her, but he offer to help her and protect her too.
They manage to get to Javier’s house where he welcomes them with open arms, but soon they realize that Cora’s tío has his own agenda.
Finn, Lars and Cora have a very🔥🔥🔥night of passion together just before these 2 amigos leave.
Cora has a chat with her uncle and just at that moment they receive a message from Zachary, aka El Lobo, the man who has Cora’s father. He wants Cora and the files in exchange for Cora’s father life. Javier refuses but Cora decides to go, with the help of Lars, Finn and Angel( a man who has worked for Zachary and who ends up betraying her after she saved his life).
Cora and Zachary finally meet and she realizes that she had already seen him before, in her first kidnapping when she was a child.
They barely make it out alive, but her father is not as lucky. They end up at Javier’s house again, only this time he is not so friendly. He ends up putting Lars and Finn in the hospital and begins to teach Cora her new role as Capo of the cartel.
Cora is now La Sombra!!!
Finn smoothed her hair away from her cheeks and tipped her face up. “I don’t know if I can leave you.” “I’ll be fine,” she managed, voice thick with the threat of more tears. “Please, just—” “I don’t know if I could ever leave you. I don’t crave safety.” Finn’s teeth found her earlobe, toyed with it. “I crave you. I’m addicted to you.
“Before I met you, Lars and I—” “You were a couple?” Cora put in, her voice quavering. Finn deflated. “I wouldn’t say—” “Jesus,” Lars said dryly. “We fucked a few times, that’s it. What he’s too shit scared to say, is that he’s fallen hard for you.” “Lars,” Finn growled, but the man flat-out ignored him. “You see, bunny, I know Finn. We’ve been friends for years. I know when some chick comes along and uses his heart for a punching bag.”“So it’s not good for us to keep hanging around you. But we’ll make sure you don’t ever have to worry about the cartels again.” “And then?” Cora asked in a shaking voice. “Then I’ll never see you again?” Finn rose. “That’s the plan,” he said quietly. Cora turned to Lars, as if seeking some kind of explanation. Lars shrugged and said simply, “We’ll all be better off without each other.”
