Listen up, Maggots! You want self-disciplije in your life? Stop being a wimp and act manly! Get up at 4:30, work out, do everything you need to do before anyone else even wakes up! Take an ice cold shower! If you drop food on the floor, pick it up and eat it, because being dirty is good for you!

You know that voice in your head that tells you that you can't do something? Just ignore it! Know why you are depressed? Because you have no real problems so you wallow in self-pity!

Don't watch TV, don't go on social media, don't have any joy I your life. Don't buy acting you don't absolutely need. Sleep on the floor! Comfort and relaxation make you weak!

Cut your hair short, make sure your clothes are wrinkles free, and don't eat anything that is not the bare minimum you need to get through the day. Shopping is for losers! Save every penny!

Reading this book to completion was itself an exercise in self-discipline. While I am sure the Spartans and special forces have tons to teach about self-discipline, none of those lessons are actually in this book. This is great if you want to be told to live a specific, rigid lifestyle that the author deems worthy. If you are looking for relevant ways to make your actual life more disciplined this is not helpful at all.

This book sometimes has some good advice but it seems to come almost by accident. It has some good basic concepts, but nothing you won't find yourself in a five minute Google search. In fact, this book reads less like an actual book, and more like some report a college freshmen wrote, which was mostly copied from Wikipedia.

This is low brow stuff, poorly written and explained with zero depth or practical applications to real life. If you want to live a sparse, Warrior like life committed to training and depriving yourself of joy, this book is excellent. If you are literally anyone else, there are vastly superior books on the market.

Also, if you are a masochist and like being told you are worthless and your life is meaningless, this book is essential reading. If you want to make actual positive change in your life, look elsewhere.

Short and not very good.

Points that you could find anywhere on Youtube in 30 seconds, a lot of definitely plagiarised from people like Jocko Willink.

This read like a high school report on the subject, gleaned from a Wikipedia article, a History Channel rerun, and a copy of Mens Health magazine from 1995. Highlights include: belabored common sense, unprofessional commentary on treating one’s own mental illness, random profanity that doesn’t appear until Ch. 8, being able to identify the exact point in the book where the author must’ve learned the word “moreover,” and a weird foray into knowing where the exits are at your neighborhood Starbucks. I honestly wonder if the average stars given to this are the result of someone hacking the algorithm.

Quick read. Good reminders of what it takes to be disciplined. Nothing I didn’t already know although harder for some than others.

It was ok but it didn't "wow me". The book will not only teach you how the Spartans and Special Operations Units trained but will also show you how they become the epitome of self-disciplined individuals. I believe this book is more geared towards folks who have zero self discipline and I do recommend this book to those types of folks. However, the title and the look of the front cover is why I was hoping for more from this book. The book was 110 pages and the chapter titled, "Building Mental Toughness" was the most inspiring chapter. What I took from this chapter too include the entire book was taking cold showers. In fact, this technique is also done by world-class athletes because of how effective it is in improving their mental toughness. You might think this is an unnecessary suffering but it is not because taking cold showers has a lot of benefits such as boosting your immune system, increasing levels of testosterone, reducing inflammation, and so on. Again, if you have zero self discipline than this book is for you.

not much depth to material, needs to improve transitions. I congratulate the writer for completing the book but they are trying to use tie in to Special Operations in order to sell the book.

Self published book with several typos in book. The writer should have reviewed and corrected. Very light read.

Nothing earth shattering here, a good short read about building the tools of self discipline.

The tie to Spartan lifestyle is pretty weak. I think the author’s research started and stopped with the movie 300. No amazing new insights gained.

Quick and simplified read about the similarities between the Spartans and Special Forces and how to have an everyday person regime like theirs. Perhaps a little too simplified but, it gets the point across.

I felt that this was written for children. It describes several attributes of discipline but only covers how to develop them at a very superficial level. The illustrations are mostly random photos of military kit - I guess to reinforce the special forces link

I am fairly positive this book was produced by AI. The information within is simply positioned as the results of the most popular results found from various topics via Google. Kudos to the publisher of this text as it seems to have sold more than a few copies.

Did'nt like the layout, too much free space wasted and the pictures felt irrelevant to the contents. But great tips to get productive in daily life and start having a healthy productive routine

Quick succinct read

I enjoyed the direct, no fluff explanations in the book.
Largely a reminder for me, but time let discipline and bearing slip since leaving the military.

Eh. Started out good, but the book clearly picks up the tone of “last minute reading project” halfway through. Repeating the same mantras over and over again, fumbling over the same topics throughout chapters. At one point it picks up the theme of rambling and muttering nonsense. Not great.
