Angel or demon. Bond or die. It’s the way of the world, but when Kaiden completes the ritual, something unique happens. Has the Chosen One entered the war?
Warning: Contains adult content. Read at your own risk.
Long ago, magic entered the world. Now, humans must bond with an angel or demon to live.
After Kaiden bonds with a fallen angel, many believe he'll end the centuries-long war between angels and demons. Just as many want him dead. With the help of three amazing hot women, Kaiden attempts to do what most would think crazy. They take on the demon army.
Go big, or die trying.
Warning: Bonded is a post-apocalyptic harem with light gamelit elements. If you haven’t already figured it out, this story is filled with violence, sex, blood, action, fights, along with three hot chicks who can kick some serious ass.
The book has a new twist on an old battle, the war between angels and demons. They are bonded to humans so the fight can be waged on earth. The story is about a young men who has just been bonded and it follows him through his adventures as he enters the war and the greater world. I liked the book and the storyline and will most likely read the next book in the series. I just hope the author slows the book down. The first book seemed RUSHED way to much, both in the way his relationships went with his harem to the way this combat training took place, and the way he became a commander. The MC went from zero to hero way to fast with no development in leadership, he went from this young man probably a teenager to a commander with no trial and error in combat and made all the right decisions in his first fight like it was no problem, plus he fought like he has been doing it for years and it wasn’t his first time. I’ll just have to wait and see what Zane does next.
This breaks my guideline (it's certainly not a rule) of not posting negative reviews, but as this book is so technically deficient that I feel that I should in order to help the author to do better.
The writing is stilted and difficult to read in general. There are so many editing errors that I didn't even bother keeping track, and in some cases words appear to be missing in sentences. The writing style can be worked on, and rigorous editing can solve the other problems. All of this distracted me from the story, but it too seemed pretty weak. The idea wasn't bad, but execution was sorely lacking.
In a few words.. This book needs the attention of a good editor. Spelling mistakes and story flow issues abound.
That said.. It was/is a interesting first draft to a story. Def NOT a quality product though.
The book seems.. Rushed. Even the Sex parts of it. Its odd because the little sequences where the MC was dreaming/Fantasizing were much better writing than when the MC actually got down to business.
Lots of things just don't make sense MC goes from.. I don't wana fight anyone. to. Lets go to war in just one short 1-3 paragraph section. With hardly anything explained at all.
Be forewarned, constructive criticism for Caleb Zane.
Dear God, Caleb Zane you really need to have someone proof read your work. So many grammatical errors, misspelled words, as well as words that do not fit into the sentence. It's almost as if it was written on a phone and autocorrected several times, completely wrong. The story line was good, however I do not think I can read another one of your books as every other page has 1 error if not more. 2 stars only because I liked the plot.
I thought it was an interesting and pretty well told story, but at about half way through I just about stopped as the strange grammatical errors were getting pretty bad. I suggest the author take another pass through and make corrections. I started highlighting the errors which got me through the rest of the story. I have it 3 stars as it was entertaining but painful at times as you reread a section to figure out what the word they were planning on using.
So this book needs some major edits. I don’t know if it was auto correct or what but but words need to be corrected. There was also some sentences that just didn’t make sense like they were half baked. The world building was good but could be great with a little more explanation. Length could be added to the love story, giving more depth to characters’ feelings developing towards each other.
The world has definitely changed. Now when you turn twenty you must bond with an angel or a demon and be drafted into service to serve in the war between heaven and hell. I’m sorry, I could not get interested in this vision of tomorrow. The “three amazing hot women” did not help either. Some of the plot was a little two dimensional, but this was worth reading. It has a very interesting take on a theological outlook. The MC is interesting, but needs depth. The secondary characters have more feel to them. It was enjoyable, and I will read the second book to see if these things smooth out.
I got to 17% and had to quit. Between missing or wrong words, the change between past present tense, and general teenage dialog internal and external was just too much to bear and I stopped reading the book.
I bought the book on a recommendation and enjoyed the whole story but the reason it got four rather than five stars was because of so many spelling mistakes through our the book . Still a nice twist at the end to make me want to read more
This was a great read with a new twist on the good and evil perspectives. However for the grammar fanatics this book could use a polish. Otherwise I enjoyed it very much.
The mixing of good and evil pantheon was bothersome but the book still had the best of harem even though it didn't have a lot of depth. Such is the way for pulp readers. Gonna jump into the sequel soon.
Love the storyline and the characters. Yeah there were some grammatical errors but nothing that ruins the story or context. You know what the author is trying to say. I definitely recommend this book. Just bought 2 more by Caleb and I’m now following him on Amazon
This book was an ok listen for me. It was entertaining enough. It had an interesting story concept but wasn't explored that much. The characters were a bit intriguing I'd like to get to know more.
Chris Graves's narration was excellent. It definitely helped me kept engaged throughout.
Not quite what I was expecting. Having a war on Earth between good and evil is surprising in itself, but throw in the joining of the two? Very unusual.
