En sí no es nada del otro mundo, pero como merchandising es precioso.
Tiene un montón de olores, algunos mejorables, unos horribles (apropósito) y otros geniales. Sin duda con lo baratito que es lo recomiendo bastante.

This book was a really fun and nostalgic experience for me. There isn't a lot of substance to the book, but I wouldn't expect there to be with a scratch and sniff sticker book marketed to 6 years and up. I liked the sketchy style that was used to illustrate the honeydukes sweets (not sketchy as in suspicious, but sketchy as in a loose and almost messy illustration style).

Also- there is hot pink foiling on the cover and spine! I repeat, HOT PINK FOIL. It appeals greatly to my magpie soul (I must collect ALL! SHINY! THINGS!)

There are quite a few different scents to experience in this book, based off each honeydukes sweet, some of which are more accurate than others. There's even a vomit scented bean in there (eww)

Only worth it if you’re a collector of Potter books or a little kid (5-9 maybe). The cover is the most appealing part. Images on the inside aren’t good and most of the smells are really unappealing.

Considering this is supposed to be a scratch and sniff adventure, that feature is weighted heavily in this review. Going off that, this book is just okay. There's not as many of those patches as I'd have thought, given the topic of the book, and some of the choices were questionable. One of the first few was a vomit flavored bean. Is that really something you want to include in a scratch and sniff book?

The illustrations were admittedly very nice. The text was heavily based on the films rather than the books, which was a little disappointing, but in and of itself didn't affect the rating.

Overall, for a book about the smells of a Wizarding candy shop, I was expecting something a lot more impressive.

A typo! I found a typo! :( On the Bertie Bott's page, it reads "They mean every flavor," Harry told Ron. In fact, Ron told harry. The black pepper imps also smelled like cumin, which was a bit peculiar. Not a story, more of a "milking it" book, unfortunately.

There are many places that I wish I could visit from the HP Wizarding World, but Honeydukes candy shop is pretty high on the list. I mean, who doesn't want candy, even if some of it is a bit dangerous?! And what better way to explore the treats stocked by the store than through a scratch and sniff adventure - it was only a matter of time, really, until this book came out considering what a popular type of children's publication it is. The concept itself is decidedly simple, with readers getting to read about the many tasty treats that Harry and his friends discover throughout their years at Hogwarts and then getting a brief aroma from the scratch and sniff panels to complement the experience. Unfortunately for me most of the scratch and sniff panels were underwhelming, but I blame that on the fact that I borrowed the book from the library and the previous readers used up the panels. Which is probably honestly for the best considering that I'm allergic to most scents, and I'm sure that chemicalized candy is no exception (booo). Thankfully, the well-designed illustrations more than made up for the lack of scent. The artists used carbonized versions of the candies in bright colours and riotous compositions that I feel aptly reflects the decadence of the Honeydukes store as well as accurately portrays the existing design work created by MinaLima. Interspersed throughout are occasional stills from the films (paired usually with direct quotes from the characters) done in a black and white xeroxed style, which breaks up the overwhelming amount of colour that the rest of the illustrations bring to the visual palette. Together, the two styles balance nicely and bring together the films with the fantasy world of Honeydukes.

• This book is based on the movies, not the books
• The illustrations are okay; the design is good
• The smells are so-so
• The text is pretty much pointless and only exists to sell the book
• My nine-year-old daughter loves it

Cute idea. I could see having it out while watching the movie for a more immersive experience. Text and illustrations are laid out in a playful way. Far more bad smells than I anticipated, but I could see that being a jokey, fun part for kids. Clever idea, and I'm glad they made it.

Hit or miss on the smells; some smelled like nothing, and a lot just smelled like gunpowder. There were some factual errors, but overall a fun book for kids and visually very nice.

This book is a nice addition to any Harry Potter collection. Quick read but great all the same. Hopefully you are braver then me, but I couldn't bring myself to scratch and sniff a few of the flavors from honeydukes lol Read, sniff and enjoy.

First off the bad, the scratch and sniff bits reminded me of ye old scratch and sniff stickers of the 80s. It was hit or total miss. Some had a nice smell to it that did remind you of the scent, others smelled VERY chemically and not at all like you'd expect. The book is illustrated in the same style as Honeydukes, so it has that vintage design feel, much like the packaging of the products at Wizarding World park (which some of the illustrations even showcase the same images as the packages, like the fizzing whizbees). Otherwise, it was kinda bleh. The scents weren't that great, they highlighted some products but not everything, and I really wanted more. I wanted to see the shelves, go THROUGH the store, not be shown a page of chocolate frogs (literally) and go hey it's chocolate frogs! I wanted that bit of magic that those who have never been to the park could glimpse into. The awe of the colors of the store, the bins full of candy, etc. So yes, a bit disappointed in this book.

What a delightful conceit. This landscape oriented book has a zany cover with bas relief, shiny Honeydukes 'sweets' decorating it. The frontispiece is bursting with colourful sweets, licorice wands and cards.
It's described as a scratch and sniff adventure and amuses on each page. The illutrations are bright and entertaining and offer a scratch and sniff experience at every page turn. The sniff are a little generic and odd, but it works as an original concept, with black and white stills from the films amonst the illustrations.
I had never heard of this until a week ago, and am thrilled to own it. Recommended for Hogwart fans of all ages.

i read this in about five seconds. it's really just regurgitating facts from the movies (not the books, which i found a bit disappointing). there were also a couple instances where they got the facts wrong, which did annoy me more than i'd like to admit 💀

i wish there had been more scratch and sniff choices, but my obsession with everything and anything minty was satisfied by the peppermint toad scent. i've been to universal studios twice in my life, and i'm probably not going back anytime soon (it's too expensive for me 3). this made me really really want to go back to honeydukes though i want some peppermint toads and chocolate frogs :(

Lovely little book. My son has only recently been introduced to Harry Potter, it's mainly my reading him the books as he's still little, but he loved this book.
Some of the smells are identical to the Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans.
There's wonderful illustrations and a short description on each page about the flavors and bits of the HP movies.
There's a lot of scents in this book, at least two on every two pages.
My son is happy, so I'm happy with this.

I don't expect too much out of a book like this, but I was still let down. I enjoyed the whole concept (very cool!) and I like the illustrations, but the scratch & sniff features really failed to impress and/or function. It's a library copy but obviously a very new one, so I'm not confident that all of the special featured scratch & sniff spots have been used up already.

Having had this book on my shelf for over a year, it was time I cracked it open... It smells wonderful!

This book focuses on all the candy that is found in the movies made and sold at the famous Honeydukes in Hogsmeade, with little patches that you can scratch in order to sniff the scent of the sweet - I didn't scratch any of mine, though.

I only read this as part of the readathon.

I’m 40 (still a huge Potter fan) and bought this book a couple years ago and finally opened it. It’s Uber cute. And of course I want some of these candies! I’ve only ever found the jelly beans. Which aren’t that bad. Maybe I should’ve gotten 2 copies. One for me and one to donate. The new potter fans should experience this.

Some of the smells are more realistic than others, while some barely have a smell at all. I also wish there was a bit more information about each of the candies. Nonetheless, it is a beautiful book with great style and a lot of fun.

cute idea, but really sparse. Most of the pages were just like "remember in the 3rd movie where Ron almost bought a licorice wand and then didn't? alright then, on to the next thing". Smells were a mixed bag

This is super cute. Some of the smells are a little off but not vomit! Whoa. The illustrations are sketches and stills from the films. I feel like this is a nice way to introduce Harry to my K students.

I love that there were gross smells mixed in with the delicious ones, my only complaint is I felt like it was really short. Yes, it is a children book, but I feel like there could have been more to it. I did enjoy it and some of the scents I wish were perfumes. All in all a great little read.

Nice little book. It's easier to smell the scents if you rub your finger on it and smell that, the book itself has a smell that seems to overpower the scent coming off the sticker. Also did not scratch the vomit one, not brave enough!

The “nasty” smells linger on your hands much longer than the nicer ones, I spent a good while worried thinking my baby had been sick before realising the smell on my hands was from the vomit every flavour bean scratch and sniff! Other than that, super fun book

A fun idea and a good add to any Harry Potter collection, but the scents aren't great and blend together. Also, why no blood lollipop scent when it has multiple references and pages in this book? Lame.
