This book was a wonderful story about friendships, new love, chasing dreams, and fresh starts. Melissa’s books are always guaranteed fun, flirty, sweet reads with a perfect mix of drama added in. I love the characters she creates and the stories she tells through them, and this book is no different. I love this series and I adored Olivia’s story. Thank you Melissa for the ARC!
"The past year has been a rollercoaster of emotion, and I've reached a point now where I know without a shadow of a doubt it's time to get off this crazy ride." (6)
Olivia is a washed-up supermodel looking to get back on track. Written in diary format, Olivia relays the troubles and challenges of starting over. And, somehow, traversing through the hurdles of the runway leads her to an unexpected love.
Story had some witty banter and an easy-going plot. A little slow at times, but the story was, overall, okay. At times, you can get a little lost with the number of characters in the book, but I'd say this is a classic women's fiction.
I read Stacy’s story in On the Road to Love and now on Olivia’s story. CJ, Stacy and Olivia were friends that knew each other when they lived in Florida. Olivia was the model that was discovered in a mall and made it big and forgot about her friends and what was really important in live like family and friends. The friends that she did have were not really friends, they all only cared about how they appeared to others and living the life of luxury and being rude to others that did not have the same things. It was a great story about the transformation of Olivia to becoming a better person and finding true love. This was a great heartwarming story with Olivia surrounded by her true friends.
This was an entertaining book with great characters.

Olivia is over being a model on the catwalk but she's unsure what else she can do plus the girls there are scatty and snooty and she realised that she acted like that too ignoring her family. Her boyfriend cheated on her but he did her a favour as it cleared the way to meet a hotter nicer guy who adores her. Her 2 bff have their own agendas but are always there for each other. She's introduced to Deidre and an idea forms for a career. Fun entertaining read
It was so nice getting to know you. It was great to be a part of your new start. To see you learn, and grow, and find love. It was lovely to be on that journey with you. I laughed along with you, and shed a tear or two. As always, at the end I was sad to part ways, to say goodbye to a new friend. Wishing you the best of luck,
Olivia’s story wraps up the series in this third installment. I love hers just as much as reading Stacy and CJ’s stories in the first two books. I got to learn a lot about her history with her modeling career and “friendships” she had before reuniting with Stacy and CJ. I have loved this series so much and want more!
The plot line didn’t really have any significant conflict. I also picked this one up without reading the first in this series, although I think this books are supposed to work independently of each o get. The pace was super rushed and the writing was not particularly descriptive. It felt like a teenager was writing this.
Cheered for Olivia the entire way through! Quite the force as she finds her way back to her true self. Love you the two besties... Forget about Jenna. Ooh Colin... This story has all of the elements of a great read, romance, comedy, drama and swooning. Please read! Does not disappoint!
Not the strongest plot. A suggestion...don't keep reusing a description over and over. Example: "kissing my hair ", or " kissing my forehead ". These repitions are typical of a lazy writing style. A creative author should be able to write a new and interesting description that engages the reader.
I think the first book is the best one. By the third, you realise how similar the books are. Not only the story, the characters but the writing style as well. How many more "off the shoulder tops/dresses/sweaters" do we need? Disappointed by the ending. I like big chonky epilogues with closures and HEA.
I didn't want this series to end! I need more Candance (CJ), Stacy and Olivia. Their friendship makes this series, their romances were just a bonus. I loved that this book not only featured Olivia, but there were more Stacy and CJ unlike the 2nd book in this series. I really wish there were more in this series. I'd love an update on what is going on on their lives.
Another great book by Melissa. As I had read the 2 previous books in the series I was looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint. This book was Olivia's story and it rounded off Love in the city series perfectly.
I enjoyed the reference to places on NY city but other than that found it... meh. It was okay and very much a story of change and growth for the couple and Olivia who the book was centred on.
It was a nice round out to the series. There was a plot contradiction from the first book, someone's editor needs to be more on the ball. The publisher also needs to do better with the formatting.
I really enjoyed this book. At first it seemed a little slow but I like the way this author writes a book. All story and not too much drama, misunderstandings, etc. Fun characters showing growth depth. Very nice!
From Runway to Love is the third installment in the Love in the City series, with the first two reads giving us backgrounds into Olivia’s best girlfriends, with Stacy in On the Road to Love, and CJ in All You Need is Love. I enjoyed their points of view, and was eagerly anticipating Olivia’s. This last installment doesn’t disappoint!
It was enlightening to witness such a big change in Olivia, in where her priorities lie and what’s most important to her. You get the impression that there was a time when the world had her on a pedestal, and it’s been a weighty fall. The change began in On the Road to Love, but you really see it and feel it when it comes from her own perspective. I enjoyed reading up on all three ladies and what life has thrown at them, but I felt most connected with Olivia. Maybe because I felt she had a lot more to lose, and the biggest transformation. Melissa Baldwin has done a great job of showcasing that, while still making Olivia into one of those characters you would love to get to know, to befriend, and has this flawless way of being the coolest person in the room. You can’t help but want to get to know her.
While we’re used to only imagining what it would be like to have others worship us, it’s something that Olivia has to deal with. We get to see what that’s like, and how it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. This makes it hard for her where relationships are concerned, on whether she can find someone who meets the certain criteria society tells her she should look for in a mate, no matter what her personal feelings are. That can be a tough way to live life, and we get to see that struggle.
While From Runway to Love is about Olivia and her quest in finding love, it’s also about her relationships with her best friends, mending bridges with family, finding a sense of direction and a place within the other people who she discovers are most important in her world. It’s an all-over quest, making her a much-needed well rounded individual, and someone you want to continue to get to know, because she’s just that great. I had a great time in reading her story, and reading all of the books in this series.
My favorite book out of the series was CJ's but this book was super cute and I like that everything throughout the book was just a good easy feeling in a good easy read... With all the good feels....
