I love the Damned series, but Damien stories are just okay. Don't get me wrong, I love Damien and Max. I just feel like the 3 wise men and some of the other Catholic church stuff is making the story convoluted and boring. I would like to see Damien and Max do their thing but separate from the church and wise men being their boss. Let Damien be his rogue self and bring Max along for the training. I think if they worked with the mercs but continue to do their exorcisms and what not and continue to unravel the mysteries that have been popping up it would be a lot more exciting or interesting.

Compelling!

This spin off series was a bit wierd for me with its locatio being in England, but the storytelling is first class with the charachters growing in depth and Damian is now much more than he was in the Damned books. Also Damians and Maxs demons are great with their addictions.
I also like the intrigue of the church and Damians willingness to go againdt them if he thinks they are wrong.
This book was a page turner that it took me by surprise when i reached the end.
Hopefully you will go beyound book 4 as Damian and cohorts have grown on me!

Very disappointing. Kept reading and just got worse.

OK, survivor of Italian Roman Catholic childhood talking here. All my required Masses were in either Latin or Italian. Did not expect to be subjected to endless Latin prayers EVER again. That's one major strike. Next one: Damian is like Johnny Depp meets Harry Dresden on a bad day. Strike three: can't wrap my head around Damian and Max walking around with their own personal demons yet everyone else in that situation must be exorcised or killed. Terrible stories. All three. And I so wanted to enjoy them!

No don’t shut down the series

Spoiler alert. I just finished reading the book and reading the authors notes I just want to say NO YOU CAN’T SHUT IT DOWN I
Hope there are enough fans that just like a great good read without any sex scenes. This series is amazing in the way the storyline is going. I love the Damed neighbor Rose and May I think you need to expand your cast of Characters if you want to add a sexual element.

Intriguing Prologues

The prologues for each book gives an interesting insight into something from Damian’s past. We see hints from the last, and there are teasing hints of a mystery that Damian needs to solve. There’s the usual action and humour, and lots of it!

Max is learning a lot, though remains clumsy.(which in itself is entertaining!). Damian is growing, too, even though he’s older.

Another great read, and now impatiently await the next book.

Loving this series

This is a great series that delves into the options that an ex mercy and priest has in life.

I love reading about Damian and the people he surrounds himself with and can’t wait to find out more about his demon.

I would be very sorry to see this series end at the next book. I think there’s lots of interesting roads this story could follow.

Save Damian

I have enjoyed Damians story but I would like to see him leave the church . The church restricts his saving people and getting rid of demons. He is developing and growing a relationship with his demon. His relationship with Katie was/is special. He needs a story/adventure with Katie.

Damian is the Man.

I love this seris iIt's way more serious, deeper and more intriguing then others. If the other books in the Damned world are sitcoms. Then Damian books are like Boston Leagal. Damian is Like Allen Shore and Denny Crane is like Max, You laugh along the way but there is meat to the story not just fluff.

A good reaf

As always, the story line is engaging and more humor is sneaking in! Being a priest and trying to accept the rules he, more or less, agreed to is hard, Damian needs to loosen up a bit and have more fun. I hope he gets back with Katie's Killers and enjoys a little more fun in his life. Max is a great addition and I hope to see more of his training. Semper Fi!

Excellent sequel

I hope Michael rethinks his plan to end this spinoff with Damian. I'm enjoying them a lot. A bit different than some of the others but that makes them a nice change. Even though book 4 may be the last I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Loved this story

Yes it is time for the three Wise men to kick Damien out and surprisingly Matt goes with him but they go to Mornin and the gang. But he is not done with the church yet.

Keep Going

Even though this series is different than the KatieDora series, I still enjoy it. Though I really hope the Three get their twigs and berries caught in a trap and have to be rescued by Damien in the style that they hate!

Ok Damian locks Max in a closet to keep him safe. Damian notices Rose is being taken over more and more by her demon. Damian decides to do something about it or rather his demon!!

Great series

I really like Damian. His stories are a bit less intense than Katie & Pandora’s. I also like the lessons Max is learning as he goes. I can’t wait for the next one!

Only one more

I really enjoy this character and I'm sorry to find that there is only one more book in his story. He's funny, interesting and carding.

Much better!!!

Solid ratings.
I really liked this installment over the previous one. Damian is much more like himself, back in his days with the mercs, instead of just doing everything he's told to do. The three wise men are creepy. I do have to agree on that one.
I wonder what more we can learn about his demon, what the wise men want with Max, and what other secrets will come to be before the series closes.
