Bethany Silver was a newcomer to Blue Bear Ridge, Colorado. Even though she quickly settled down, her move might end up being just temporary. That was until she caught the eye of Zakari, a big burly bear shifter. He had been looking for his mate his whole life and he wasn’t about to let her out of his claws.
I have popped my bear shifter cherry and it was a pleasurable experience lol! The story was simple and straight to the point. However, I wanted more background information about the town’s and her knowledge regarding shifters. I also wanted to see more of his bear side.
There were a lot of growling and “Mine!” declarations but I don’t mind that because it was expected. The sex scenes were hot and made me want for more.
The Bearly Controlled Grizzly is a story of finding the One. It would appeal to readers looking for an entertaining quick and sexy read.

My heart was beating fast as I stared at him, felt this pull, this connection. It was strange, unusual, but all powerful. I couldn’t have ignored it even if I wanted to.

The author asks 'who wouldn't want one OTT alpha bear shifter obsessed with you?' I know that if he were anything like Zackari, I'd be a-OK with it indeed! Once he saw Bethany, that was it. No more searching. No more yearning. He'd found his mate and although she was human, she was his. While she was a bit overwhelmed with all that Zackari had to offer, she had no doubt that she belonged to him. It was instant lust and love all in one swoop, with just the right amounts of heat and sweetness to make this an entertaining read.

Quick, sexy, steamy shifter romance. If you just need a quick read before you go to bed that doesn't require anything from you, this is your book.
It was fast-paced, you knew what was happening, and the book just took you along. I am starting to like books like this more and more just before I go to bed if I need to read a little but don't want to end up sitting in my bed reading until morning.
For a short story, I liked it a lot, and it had a hunky, controlling, alpha Grizzly bear in it that is way too hot when his animal's instinct is driving him hard. Also, I loved the epilog in this book. I think that was the best part!

The Bearly Controlled Grizzly is the first book in the Bear Clan series, and it was a beautiful, safe, short, sweet and extra steamy read.
Bear shifters are my favorite. Especially when they're OTT, possessive and growly.
Definitely can't wait for the next brothers book!

Zakaria, like his brothers, is a bear shifter. They're all loners, spending the majority of their time working or with each other aside from the occasional trip into town. It's on one of those visits that Zakaria meets his one, the woman he's been waiting for, literally, to share everything with.
Bethany, to help a waitress that needs medical treatment, takes over her shift, though it's far from her usual job as she handles the accounting for the bar. However, she does what she can and that decision leads her to Zakaraia. She takes notice of him immediately, as he does her, and knows something special is about to happen.
Thankfully, Bethany knows of shifters and doesn't resist the pull she feels toward Zakaria and instead embraces it, accepting his claim on her and reveling in it. They still have some things that need worked out, not the least of which is Bethany is only there temporarily.
Now for Zakaria's brothers to find their mates. One-click now and follow along as two people meet and instantly know they've found their forever. I loved this book so much. Zakaria was a virgin, and not ashamed of it, but instead proud that all of his firsts, his onlys, would be with his mate. That is my kind of Hero, truly deserving of the title, and I adore that it's implied the same of all of them. We did confirmation that Maddix, and his teasing snippet has me so intrigued, is. I'm (im)patiently waiting for the next book in the series.

A fun, much too short, over the top, alpha male waiting for his fated mate, mountain man story.
This was just an enjoyable read about a reclusive bear shifter who has been waiting his whole life for his one true mate. If you are in the mood for an over the top, very possessive alpha male then definitely pick up this book :)

I smelled her before I saw her, this addicting aroma that was sweet yet spicy, soft and delicate. It had my entire body tightening, had my heart racing wildly. I curled my hands around the edge of the table, my nails starting to turn into claws as my bear rose to the surface.

This was just an okay read for me. Nothing over dramatic. No angst no drama, just another obsessed alpha male shifter bear.

Zakari ha esperado a su pareja toda su vida, el y sus cinco hermanos han vivido en el mismo territorio toda su vida, cada uno separado pero cerca, todos esperando el dia en que su soledad termine y su pareja aparezca. Asi que sabe que cuando la encuentre hara todo lo que este en su mano para mantenerla y proveerla, y siendo un cambiaforma Oso, la posesividad esta garantizada.
Bethany llego al pueblo para cuidar a su abuela enferma, y lo que menos esperaba era conseguir a su pareja ahi, y mucho menos que fuera un cambiaformas Oso. Pero no hay forma de evitarlo, asi que solo quiere un poco de tiempo para asimilarlo.
Asi que cuando Zakari siente que le dio suficiente tiempo para hacerse a la idea, va en su busqueda, porque ya es hora de reclamar a su pareja y tener a la familia que siempre ha sonado.
Esta es una de esas historias que uno lee para pasar el rato, la agarre porque tenia la impresion que ya la habia leido, y era cierto, la lei hace muchisimo tiempo, tanto que ni siquiera lo habia registrado hasta que la volvi a retomar.
Lo cierto, es que es una historia rosa, romantica, sin drama y sin mayor interes, pero con todo el universo me habia gustado bastante, es una lastima que las historias sean tan cortas, pero ese es el chiste precisamente con este tipo de historias, que se lean rapido, y puedas pasar el tiempo sin pensar mucho.
Voy a releer la serie? Nop, con este me basto para acordarme de que se trataba todo, asi que lo dejare hasta aqui.

Ay tenía ganas de algo cortito y que vaya al grano. Estoy con un libro que no me tiene enganchada por ahora entonces mi mente se dispersa enseguida, veo nuevos libros y me apetece leerlos todos menos con el que estoy, y por eso estoy haciendo esta reseña 😂
No puedo deciros mucho de este libro porque con lo corto que es, si os cuento algo, lo cuento todo. Me encantan las historias de cambiantes con chicas humanas dulces y eso es lo que encontré aquí, y sobre todo encontré 0 drama y un buen final feliz, lo que me recetó el doctor 😏😂❤️

This is the first book in the Bear Clan Series by Jenika Snow. Zakari is a 30 year old grizzly bear shifter with five younger brothers none of which have found their mates yet. Bethany has recently come to Blue Bear Ridge, Colorado to help take care of her Grandmother. Her Grandma isn’t a nice person at all but she’s doing it for her dad. She has a job at a local bar and that’s where she meets Zakari when he saves her from a handsy, drunk patron. As soon as he smells her Zakari knows Bethany is his mate and he doesn’t like seeing another man try to touch her. Bethany feels like she’s known Zakari all her life and she doesn’t understand why.

Petite nouvelle avec des shifters ours qui commençait plutôt bien : bien écrit, une héroïne qui avait l'air intéressante, un héros un peu trop dominant et obsédé par son âme sœur mais il y avait moyen de faire quelque chose d'intéressant ...
SAUF QUE
Les héros se rencontrent et là c'est le drame :
- instalove non pardon instalust mais comme on n'en a jamais vu !! L'héroïne l'a à peine aperçu et ELLE N'EN PEUT PLUS !! (le héros aussi d'ailleurs mais bon lui ce n'est pas une surprise vu qu'il attendait de pouvoir s'envoyer en l'air avec elle depuis toujours ><)
- AUCUNE intrigue, rien nada, aucune profondeur :
- l'immense scène de sexe qui était bien écrite ... Mais avec des passages qui m'ont gêné : le commentaire "Pure Fresh Fertile" (J'avais l'impression d'être dans une pub pour du déo ou de l'engrais xD), le léchage d'anus (est-ce que j'ai besoin d'en dire plus ??) et le fait qu'elle soit vierge et que le marathon de sexe ne la dérange absolument pas ><
- le commentaire "the virgin bear shifter" à la fin ... Hilarant xD
Bref, c'est dommage parce qu'il y aurait eu moyen de créer un univers et c'était plutôt bien écrit mais pour moi c'est une fanfiction Porn Without Plot ><

- NO plot, nothing, nada, no depth:
- the huge sex scene that was well written ... But with passages that disturbed me : the commentary "Pure Fresh Fertile" (I felt like I was in an ad for some deodorant or fertilizer xD), licking anus (do I need to say more ??) and the fact that she is a virgin and that the marathon sex doesn't bother her at all ><
- the comment "the virgin bear shifter" at the end ... Hilarious xD
In short, it's a shame because there was a way to create a great universe and it was pretty well written but for me it's a fanfiction Porn Without Plot ><

Zakari is 30 years old and had been waiting for his mate for a long time. He and his brothers run a construction company and live close enough to each other without being crowded because grizzly shifters need their space.
Bethany works at a bar and takes care of her extremely grumpy grandmother. Bethany's father wasn't close with his mother but when she fell and hurt herself, he hadn't argued with his daughter when she said she would go help her until she was healed.
Shifters and humans coexisted peacefully but she didn't know much about shifters and was naturally uneasy with the prospect of being mated to one so Zakari gave her some time to get used to the idea after they met.
But they're mates and the pull for both of them is a strong one so they can't wait too long before they're together and these two are hot! They steamed up my reading glasses! I liked how possessive Zakari is and how much Bethany can't stop thinking about him. They are definitely good together.
This was a fast paced novella. I felt like I got an entire story because this author really knows how to pack a story into a short read. It was fun, fast and hot!
Bethany works at a bar and takes care of her extremely grumpy grandmother. Bethany's father wasn't close with his mother but when she fell and hurt herself, he hadn't argued with his daughter when she said she would go help her until she was healed.
Shifters and humans coexisted peacefully but she didn't know much about shifters and was naturally uneasy with the prospect of being mated to one so Zakari gave her some time to get used to the idea after they met.
But they're mates and the pull for both of them is a strong one so they can't wait too long before they're together and these two are hot! They steamed up my reading glasses! I liked how possessive Zakari is and how much Bethany can't stop thinking about him. They are definitely good together.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of the book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I know what to expect when I read a non-shifter book from Jenika Snow: over the top alpha hotness and a ton of heat - and I'm all about that. The BEARly Controlled Grizzly featured all of that but I also felt that it was a lot more telling than showing and we spent a lot of time talking or thinking about doing stuff and not nearly as much of actually doing it. I liked Zakari and his enthusiasm for finding his mate (an aspect of shifter romances that I LOVE) and I liked that Bethany didn't fight the attraction between them - I just wish that there had been a bit more of them actually interacting and talking to each other and less inner monologue. That being said, I still am totally down to read the rest of the series because I really want to see Zack's brothers find their mates! 2.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

Bear shifter Zakari knows he finally found his mate, he can sense it but now he needs to find her. Bethany doesn't know a lot about shifters but she senses Zakari is her mate. Wanting time to understand everything Zakari doesn't on his initial reaction to just claim her but his bear is riding him to claim his mate sooner then later.
This was a fun quickie. Dropped a lot of hints for the other brothers. The chemistry with Bethany is fantastic, thought the concept for this series was a lot of fun. Great read.

The MCs recognize each other as mates at first sight, but heroine is human so it takes her 3 days to accept her life has changed. Hero was very patient and often thought of her as his reason to live, putting her needs and wants above everyone and everything else.
Both MCs are virgins.
Good epilogue with cubs.
Will be checking out the other books in the series that feature the brothers.

Insta mate
I love short and sweet. This was a great shifter read with great characters. Strong Alpha lead, and strong female character that knows what she wants. I loved the fast pace and the insta love. Cant wait to read about the brothers.
