I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2004 with a BFA in illustration, my love of cartooning and comics has led me to where i am today.
I've done licensed work for DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic, Fraggle Rock and more. I love being a nerd, so being able to draw nerdy things for a living is the best thing ever.
I'm married to the best guy ever. Ryan keeps me grounded.
I have a daughter, Grayson, who is my booger-y little destroyer of worlds.
I like my cats... a LOT. ...Our dog isn't too bad.
I live in a state shaped like a mitten.
The constant support of my family, pets, friends, and even complete strangers, is what drives me to succeed in art. Thank you everyone, because of you, I am what I am.
This was a lot of fun and reminded me of why I love these characters so much! You can also tell this is later on in the TV series as Eugene and Cassandra are actually getting along, lol!
While I liked them all, “Save the Date” was my absolute favorite as we follow Rapunzel and Eugene being their adorable selves on a not-exactly-going-as-planned date that was just so them with all their banter and inside jokes and just the general chaos they get into on a daily bases, lol! I just love them soooo much which is why this story shined over all the others. 😍😍😍
The emphasis on Zhan Tiri in two of the comics was really interesting, and I kind of wish the show runners had used some of these ideas in the series to make Zhan Tiri a more formidable foe in the end.
This was super fun and definitely something I’ll pick up when I need a quick Tangled fix!
‼️Content‼️
Language: gah; darn
Violence: tents fall down and hit people; men are flung into trees; a boat nearly capsizes; a horse falls on a crate and breaks it
Other: magic; magical objects; people are magically brainwashed
A delightful collection of stories centered around our favorite long-locked princess, her roguish boyfriend, Eugene and sword-wielding best friend, Cassandra.
I thoroughly enjoyed these stories, the plots were simple but full of fun and each had a subtle moral lesson that could easily be picked up by any younger readers. The art was bright and full of detail and each character was stroke for stroke a perfect match to the tv series. I also loved how spot on the characterization was for our trio, from Eugene's charm and deep love for Rapunzel to Cassandra's dry wit and loyalty to her best friends and of course, Rapunzel's constant delight with the world and forgiving nature.
I recommend this for any fans of the movie or show, whatever your age, it is a quick and fun read that has definitely left me wanting to read more Tangled adventures!
1/13/20 I know these aren’t canon, but I’m so excited to see what Zhan Tiri’s actual role is vs what these comics make Zhan Tiri and their powers seem like!
